  1. At least somebody gets the point and realizes I don't give a hoot about the fact that Seercull lowers mage level.
  2. Who said I expected anything? I said I talked to several people about this, this is NOT my opinion... Honestly I'm quite neutral about the axe. I wasn't expecting much from the update, or hoping for a particular piece of equipment. You've illustrated what I just said... people who are into WC are happy about the axe, some ecstatic (If I spelled this wrong I don't care I'm too tired to check). Those who were wanting a new melee combat item were not thrilled.
  3. Wouldn't know, all the detailing about super restore pots was an edit. Shadow2290, obviously you have some issues with range updates... you're getting just a weeee bit worked up lol. The seercull bow won't change how I PK (which is a rare event in itself), and I really have nothing against the spec. I just don't like that having mage level lowered keeps me from casting spells. I'm sure you'd feel the same way if getting your range level lowered (which as far as I know can only be done by an NPC anyway) kept you from using magic bow. Keeping a restore pot in the inventory isn't that much of a hassle for non-hybrids anyway...
  4. When a ranger is entangled they can still hit back on a rather defenseless mage (mystic robes provide no defense from range or melee). When a melee is entangled they are able to move within seconds. Lowering stats lasts for a very long time in comparison. The point is that if a melee or range has their attack/range lowered, they can still use their weapons, they just don't hit nearly as well. If you lower magic on somebody, they can't even cast anything they were carrying the runes for, unless they brought low level stuff too, which is HIGHLY unlikely. So for range/melee, your ability to use an attack is dependent of your base level, whereas your ability to cast spells is dependent on your modified level. Lastly, I can complain about whatever I want... nobody says you have to have the same opinion. My reasons are justified.
  5. Good call; that was meant as the first NPC-specific drop. That is, only the dagannoth kings drop the dragon axe, whereas many many NPCs of much lower level drop spear.
  6. Dude... you're the king of bad luck lol. Just goes to show you though. FISH ARE EVIL! Avoid at all costs.
  7. While you're in the mood to throw away money, wanna just give me 1m-2m gp and I'll make good use of it? My keylogged booty can use any help it gets :P
  8. I personally don't care... Rares are kinda useless and I don't worry about how much GP i have or how much I make by letting one sit in my bank... just a matter of time before some keyloggin SoB comes for ya anyway. I won't ever buy a phat again, no matter how much $ i make.
  9. it's just a sodoku puzzle... there are several algorithms for solving one and you don't need to run a computer program to use them
  10. way to earn people's respect with not even being able to pull off a fake pic... Pics that aren't fake are more fun... especially when ya make em into .gif
  11. I like the idea, generally, but I think it's stupid that you make this suggestion specifically for combat. Some of us DO have our noncombat skills higher than level 50-60. Personally, I'd find getting certain noncombat skills past 99 far more interesting than raising combat any higher.
  12. Yeah... that's the problem... it followed me and started maging/ranging me lol.
  13. It seems that there must be some importance in where it spawns to where you lure it. Just like any NPC it'll only wander so far from home to kill you? Is the picture you have accurate reflecting where you were when he came? I think my key mistake was standing in the lure spot instead of away from it until spawn and then running to it
  14. I wouldn't put your life on the safe spot. I tried it out and he was still hitting me. I even tried moving farther away so he would wander off and he still attacked. Try the safe spot if you can, but don't bank on it. Figure out the correct prayers and turn on auto retal till it's time to kill the healers. If you keep track of what enemies are coming next (the list posted in other threads is off by one at the beginning and the last two 360s) it's really easy to be prepared and get to the end with full hp. Just kill the level 90s ASAP standing where others won't melee you and you'll be alright for hp. range the 180s, whether you do them first or after the 360s is really up to you and the circumstance you're in. I found that the SW corner made it really easy to get my enemies (at least the threatening ones) one at a time. After I killed the last of the 360s I tried the safe spot, but as i said, no luck. So be prepared to use the right prayers. The hit that killed me was 50some, nothing else ever hit me over 30s. I was too set on trying to get in the safe spot to bother switching prayers.
