  1. Okay, I did not know you had any data on greenfingers. I've come to assume the worst of people on the internet; too many people argumentative for the sake of argument. Also, it was pointed out to me that herb harvests may not be normally distributed, throwing a wrench in my analysis. Sorry to sound so contrarian. Also, for my own future sake, do you know if herbs/patch are normally distributed?
  2. 165 patches is more than enough to account for lucky harvests (And I don't cure). It is not ideal, obviously, but the true mean will be within a few herbs of what I found. Every other aura that follows a 3%/5%/7% patterns is correct, why would greenfingers be different? I'm not trying to start a flame war, I'm just curious why you don't believe that it's 5% (or 3 or 7 for that matter).
  3. I don't quite think you understand what I said. I know very well that you can obtain more than 50 herbs per run; that doesn't mean that you are going to average that. Most people tend to overestimate things like this, so I'm curious if you have any hard data to back up your claims. Also, you brought up some good points that I didn't consider, Hedgehog. 2 gp/xp for magic experience and having to switch to a staff is not nearly worth the cost or the effort. And it's also quite easy to forget to cast it, since you have empty buckets as proof that you supercomp'd! Mea culpa. I have been keeping a spreadsheet of how many herbs I get per patch to try to better increase my profits. With magic secateurs and juju farming pots (no greenfingers aura), I was averaging 9.52 herbs/patch (or 47.6 herbs/patch) even when you factor in patch deaths, with 165 patches documented so far. If you added even the lowest tier greenfingers, you'd get 49.02 herbs per run. Given the low sample size, 50 herbs/run consistently isn't unlikely at all.
  4. Does anyone have a ballpark estimate as to how much xp I would get doing f36 small solo with prestige 35? Medium solo? Alternatively, does anyone need to do F36 and want another group member? I realize how much xp I'm "wasting" by doing it solo/small, so reminding me of the idiocy of the decision only serves to belittle my otherwise substantial self-esteem.
  5. I would recommend falconry for hunter, I believe it's the fastest xp for your level. For thieving, I think bandits are the 'best' xp/hr; however, I detest blackjacking so I did PP for those levels. Both would work. As for the order, they are both rather fast so it won't matter too too much. I would say do hunter first since you will make money thieving.
  6. I too have a good history with mutated jakindos. I can't do the level 91 slayer ones, but the 86 ones still give me an elite about every 100-150 kills. Skeletal horror also has a good drop rate; obviously not campable but if you kill it every week you will eventually get one, which is better than none.
  7. With your stats, cannoning in lighthouse w/ a titan of some sort and (presumably) cr, you will be able to outhit the bots by a fair margin. I have lower stats than you and a task of 200 only took me about 20-25 minutes even with the bots.
  8. Fishing or woodcutting are the two extremely AFK-able skills. If you just want to have something running so you don't feel like you're "wasting" time logged off but on the computer, cutting mages in elf lands or fishing somewhere could work. Mages for BXP weekend if you want to train would be useful; else they may rise in price a little bit.
  9. Alright. I think I'm going to do it just because it will make getting 95 prayer easier. 100m seems less insurmountable than currently having the ability to get 92 and then about 40-50m after that. Only thing I might miss is fury, which is fairly steady as far as prices go. Thanks!
  10. Given the current price of infernal ashes, I can at this very moment sell most of my bank and get 92 prayer. I realize this will not help me nearly as much as 95, but given the relatively low prices of ashes these days and the fact that I am a poor money maker, is this a good idea? Or do I really need to wait til I have enough for 95 and risk ashes rising back to their old prices? None of the equipment I would be selling is anything I can't live without for a while.
  11. I recently got 70 for herblore habitat as well; I did red sallys til 70. At that point, I switched to common jakindos, they are much faster xp from my observations. Also, if you use the hunting pool in og'glog, you can get farming jujus earlier (I'm 72 hunter, with the boost, scentless pot and arctic bear I got about 20 marble vines in the 7 minutes of boost I had).
  12. I think I'd like to start doing TD's (94 att, 85 str and def, 86 range), but find pest control/conquest extremely tedious. I have a deflector, gloves, and elite torso from the void set. Question is, if I were to use the equipment I'll list in a second, would it still be worth it to get the melee and range helms, or do I really need to get the robe bottom and take out the deflector/gloves? Equipment: Void helm Glory Whip/Rune xbow (57 dung, highly doubt I'm getting chaotic anytime soon) Diamond bolts (e) Elite void top Deflector Verac's skirt Void gloves D boots wealth I have access to extremes (not overloads or super prayers, however) and the ee(e) that I'd probably have in inventory. ATM I only have 79 summoning, have charms for 85, plan on getting charms for 88 soon. Is the setup I described sufficient, or do I really need to just go with the setups listed in all the TD guides out there?
  13. I have a rather pisspoor internet connection (Something about 25,000 other people on it. Public universities ftw). Anywho, that makes TD's fairly undoable. I'm right on the fringe of GWD bosses, MAYBE one kill per trip. Profit margin on that would be less than stellar. Abby demons are an option, but I get tired of them eventually. I like the pipe dream of a vissy/dfh now that whips have dropped off the table. If you can think of a different monster I might try killing, I'm open to ideas. I do my fair share of slayer tasks, but other than that, my combat right now is pretty much limited to miths and abby demons. Edit: Huge Elton fan here. I love your name.
  14. Thanks all, this is really helpful. I'm at waterfiends right now trying to get crims for uni. I figured that would help a bunch.
  15. I've been killing mithril dragons a lot as of late and want to know if anyone has any advise on how I could tweak my strategy/get new equipment to get more kills. My stats are 94 att 85 str 85 def 76 pray 79 summ, with charms for 85 banked. My gear is: Nezzy Guthix stole (training herb and prayer so fury isn't really an option) SW cape Karils top/skirt d boots barrows gloves wealth Korasi's sword w/ d defender. Inventory is: 1 each of super antifire, extreme attack, extreme strength. 7 prayer pots Rest are sharks. Tortoise filled with sharks. I use piety and protect from melee. I get, without variance, 12 or 13 kills per trip. Does anyone have advise that doesn't involve getting a CR? I only have 56 DG and by no means have the time to get one.
  16. On the bottom floor you need a facemask, but no earmuffs. Nose peg is only for if you're killing specters; luckily for you the Polly dungeon ones are not aggressive.
  17. I've currently got about 45M in cash. Would I be better served a. slaying, snap farming etc. to get money for sgs or b. get 69 construction (I have 60 now) for love story and, more importantly, gilded alter and use that to get 80 prayer (I have 71 now). I intend to do both these things, I'm just curious which one will likely help me re-raise the money to do the other. Any thoughts? New ideas are also appreciated.
  18. More runetek 5 glitchs (only one picture technicly). Curse of arrav before OSU game, then quest cape. huzzah!
  19. If he got an average drop (E.g. 19k) he could trade it for supples. I mean to be a true solo does he have to have no help whatsoever? I typed ambiguously, I was focusing more on the is he allowed to rather than is it feasible thru the trade limit.
  20. I did most all of this less than a month ago. Id do: Powermine iron or granite (possibly kyatt+dueling for iron, make some money) Do whatever agility course you can do and bring summer pie as food, if you can do ape atoll course it won't take more than 5 hours. Smithing is a [bleep], I'm doing this right now. I'd just smelt gold with goldsmith gauntlets, it goes really fast. Make harlandar tar for herblore, easy as that. I would do PP for theiving, other people say blackjacking is quicker but I've never gotten blackjacking down well. Once you can, water battlestaffs are probably the fastest way for crafting, getting the raw staves is hard though because of the 100 per 4 hours rule on ge. Alch for magic. If you want to get rid of you money burst mummies in chaos tunnels. Yup eucalyptus. Get in an evil tree clan chat and do that for the banking then go to somewhere secluded and cut willows. I can get well over 30k xp in half an hour that way. Ourina alter if you have unlocked lunars, otherwise nats. If you're cheap then maples and pineapples, otherwise yews and papayas, I did yews and pineapples for some reason. I would do waterfiends for 68 summoning, but you don't need that for a quest do you? BTW the theiving, smithing, and mining levels are all boostable.
  21. Would getting your friends to give you food/other supplies between bosses be cheating? I see you have 999 quest points -.- so your trade limit should be high enough.
  22. Runecrafting for profit/real hour, but farming if we're talking about money/hour of effort. I can do a snapdragon herb run in about 5 minutes, and make ~60k/run. That's a whopping 720k/hour of actual effort. And you can start much earlier, 38 for ranarrs and 62 for snapdragons vs. 91 (!) for runecrafting.
  23. You realize that if the cap was removed altogether, meaning that there is no limit, 200m xp would get you only 138 hp (do the math before you tell me i'm wrong on that number)? So in 8 years of the game, someone can get to 138... I don't think anyone would EVER get to 500 or anywhere remotely near it. Simple math tells us that no one would likely get above 150 hp EVER. And two things people forget are the divine and elysian spirit shields. Divine is guaranteed to reduce the damage you take by 30%, and the elysian has a 70% chance to reduce the damage you take by 25%. Feel free to flame me about how no one can afford spirit shields, just keep in mind that jagex did make an item to reduce the strength of the godsword/ d claws.
  24. I haven't done WGS, but a lot of these "hard" quests really weren't that hard. I did DT in about an hour and a half (start to finish), all the elf ones were just long except for ME2 which I agree was quite a doozy. Most of the "hard" quests to me just seem either long or combat-intensive; not hard but frustrating.
  25. Quest cape(176 qp at the moment, semi-steep hill), a 99 if i get ambitious. effective tank stats on paps.
