if you have a good clan and a nice house have your leader or someone wih a b2p leturn make you b2p tabs. I do it all the time for my slayers.

Slayer is harder but more people do it becasue of all the bonuses which are a by-product of the skill. Farming is a bit harder for the average player as it requires a steady source of seeds or a bit of skill in merchanting to provide you with XP ammo. Choosing B/W the 2 I'd still say slayer, but farming only herbs I can appreciate how much work and time goes into a hard worked farming level. If someone were silly enough to power level each skill. Both would cost many millions but slayer would still be harder because of the effort involved in gettting good cannon tasks. All skills are essentially mindless clickathons. Slayer is still one of the best achievements in the game. Farming has to be bought for fast xp. Slayer requires luck and skill. With only minimal help from cannonballs. As for monotany Mning, Smithing, and Rcing are "Hardest".

I guess for someone who wanted to "Beat the record" youd need to have Maxed Total level without doing the quest, as multiple people have stated there are some 126's wo it. Zybez has them all if you go look there. I sport the slayer cape and get the Emote Plox more than almost any other skillcape. I now say 10k. And walk off. If they want it they pay.

You can wear dragon chain you just cant wield dragonsquare or wear rune plate becasue you wont have the reqs. The only major drawback is the treasure trail requirements which make it so I cant do all my treasure trails. but only the ones involving the kharazi jungle right..? Kharzi jungle legends area clues, and the uris emote clue which requires you to wear a rune plate in shilo bank. It sux really when i think about it lol.

I don't know if I hold any record, I may be the better known on these forums and one of very few to do it. If not for my Slayer Guide and the fame surrounding this odd accomplishment I would have finished the quest long ago. The negative? Have to drop trasure trails that involve the Legends area or wearing of a rune plate. Not as bad as before, when I would have to drop 1 out of 4. Now its about1 out of 10, but still annoying to do 5 steps and find out its a dud. Can't use the Manage thy kingdom for resources. The Miscellania quest requires you to be a hero to do it which you aren't becasue you aren't even a dragon slayer. The Positive. You have your own pet dragon. I'm too poor to get 126 and I already suicided on elvrag during my 99 slayer party. Good luck if you still have this as a goal. Train slayer instead

I'd enjoy seeing you try. The rewards are monster drops and you can get more valuable drops from other non-slayer monsters. True. But I was referring to Slayer as one of the most profitable SKILLS. :P The magus is a troll trying to hijack this thread. Slayer is currently the best profit skill in the game. Whips of course and if you stop and do the level 3 treasure trails you will make a very nice and steady profit from the 1 or 2 you get on average per day on assignment. Slayer xp a day really isn't a gauge of how good you are as some tasks are slow, and others fast if you can cannon/dharok them. Personally I melee just about all not caring about speedy xp. However I recently had my Clans 24 Hour Winter Slayer Competiton. I actually tried, getting all cannon tasks from Shilo and 2 abbies and got 166k xp playing around 14 hours and getting a full nights rest. The winner got 400k. So it can happen if you are dedicated enough. 15-25 k xp a day is good progress for a casual player.

Another reason that some people stop at 85 is becasue the Pie Noobs can kill dark beasts with the wild pie without any further training. I look forward to the day the level 95 req slayer beat comes out and all the Slayer Lovers finally get to see some of their hard work pay off for a bit of time :-D.

There's nothing wrong with stopping at the perceived maximum usable level of a skill. That was once my goal for all skills until I found my niche in slayer. You could say the same for farming, fletching, theiving, crafting, and just about any other skill. Continuing on in slayer still has its rewards of maxing combat and range, Profit from Clues, and unique drops. The black mask has made it much faster and easier than itwas in the past. If you enjoy it, do it. I personally don't see any reason to train off assignment, or no life at one monster for any signifigant amount of time. Plus those who keep slaying will be prepared to profit from any additions to the skill past its current Highest killable beast. I'm with you on this one. I also switch to find an empty world, I do think that it is pretty rude to plonk down a cannon in a really populated spot. This is most annoying on the lesser demon spots in karamja as they are always busy. However, you should not feel ashamed of cannoning, its good slayer and range xp, dont worry about the people who call you noob, they are most likely jealous I'll hop if I see a spot occupied, and another time if the next world is occupied by someone I know, but I wont hop more than 3 times. Not going to hop all day when im going to be called a noob no matter what. And Yes I plan to cannon off about 20k balls in the future:_D

no it isnt nooby. You pay a high cost to use it, dont let anyone give you any flack. Just turn chat off, rip through your task, and leave.

You can cannon the Death Plateau Trolls. From my guide. Trolls- Many people dislike these monsters. I used to love killing the Troll General before they changed his respawn rate to slow it down. Since then I found an awesome spot on the death plateau of Buthorpe for you to use a cannon. In the photo you see the cannon. It is actually kind of hard to set it up there, try a few time and you will get it down. Then you can load it up and let it rip. No trolls will be able to hit you so your cannon will act as though you are in a Multi Attack area unloading on all of the trolls in the area. If you position yourself where my character is you will be able to engage Rock and Stick who drop Granite Shields. The other red dot is a safe spot where you can go if a small troll seems to invade your area. Using this spot which I found on accident makes trolls one of the better experience assignments for you if you have a cannon on your way to 85 Slayer or beyond if you want fast experience.

Canons only have real positive effect in multicombat areas.. So daggonoths and kalphids.. Further, your method of getting same task again isnt working anymore (Jagex changed it already months ago..) It still works. My experience with failing of this method is based on abby demon tasks. It sure doesnt work anymore like before there. However, maybe I shouldnt have generalised and is this method still working for any task but abby demons. :-k For cannoning, it isn't profitable (Whips won't return money spent on balls) but if you want speed it is the best way to go. Use lost city and do all: Daggannoths Kalphites Trolls Black Demons Dust Devils For techniques reference my guide on tip.it or TSG. The Abyssal demon technique does not work as well as it had in the past becasue of all the new monsters introduced into the mix by Jagex (Goraks, Suqahs, Security dungeon, Terror Dogs, etc). When people say "fixed by Jagex" they are referring to how you could only get abby assignments at 86 slayer. They fixed it so you can get it at 85. My method listed under abbies still works for getting good assignments, you just need to be willing to do some of the other good assignments. I leave it in the guide becasue its still the best way of getting abbies if you are trying for them. And you still can never get 2 of the same assignments in a row from the same master. That's a lot of spare time and rings of recoil... Not really someone made a new account and it is his aim to do just that. He calculated that hell have to get about 25% of his xp with a cannon. All that effort for somethingbarely noticeable tho :-P. A true slayer lover!
