    Depression

They put me straight on quetiapine, then introduced diazepam. I've been trying to damn well tell them they're doing me no good, but they won't ever listen to me... >_< I rapid cycle much worse due to them. They don't seem to get that it's not just a 'give me some sedation and an antidepressant' matter. It frustrates me.

    Depression

They said it was schizophrenia, but yes; that's more accurate. The symptoms only come in extreme mania, e.g., the extreme paranoia and delusions. I've tried to tell them that I couldn't possibly have both at the same time, but they just dismissed me and I was stuck with accepting it. I'm certainly bipolar but the elements of schizophrenia are there, but not to such an extent as the rapid cycling which is something that was brought on by bad medication. It's very difficult to stop the cycling with medication (I'm on some nasty stuff; quetiapine, but it seems to work after a while) and it continues to have a profound effect on my life even whilst off my head on sedatives. It's frightening.

    Depression

I've experienced true depression as part of my mentioned bipolar disorder. Depression really makes you feel like you've hit rock bottom. You really feel that there's no hope in life, thoughts of self harm and suicide are usually abundant. You feel apathetic and just want to lie in bed/laze around. Irritability is usually present; often to an extent that it affects family relations/friendships. You want to cry, but often can't due to the lack of physical energy to do so. You really feel 'dead inside'. If you're particularly concerned, book an appointment with a psychiatrist or mental health specialist. They will be able to help you out a fair amount; depending on how much you open up to them. That's the hardest part - you're talking about your life to a complete stranger and it WILL make you feel uneasy at first. There's way too much stigma around depression and mental health problems. Don't be embarrassed about it. Take it easy. Edit: I've been diagnosed with bipolar type I (with rapid cycling) and schizophrenia. If anyone wants someone to talk to, feel free to talk to me. I'll most likely understand whatever you've been through.
  4. Harming people beyond my own control.
  5. Simply put - yes, I would die for my beliefs.

    Your worst day

Possibly the day I slipped a disc. That was painful. :(
  7. I think I would've been about 8 when I first learnt to.

    Today...

Woke up multiple times during the night. Finally woke at 8:15. Doctor came round because I'd had a bad episode the night before. Picked up (more) tablets. Went on computer. Going to bed in a few hours.
  9. http://s219.photobucket.com/albums/cc24 ... esktop.png Pretty much standard Windows configuration -- I find it the most efficient.
  10. I play tenor trombone. I'd say I'm alright at it, been playing about 3 years and am at A2/University level. Almost mastered all forms of tonguing and am working on getting the warmest, richest sound I possibly can out of the thing. I love playing it so much. I'm hoping to do a few recitals this year (means money for me) and get my name out a bit. My teacher encourages me to do so. Edit: I'm also a trained singer -- Baritone (Heldenbariton, dark and dramatic with a low range..) I fit into this range: I think it's the most beautiful of all voices... :)
  11. Wow, halfway there! Keep going with it, it'll be awesome.
  12. Thee's no hope in hell of such a small island accomodating 90 million people. I'm in no way xenophobic but all of this immigration, rising birth rates, being taxed on everything etc. are the reasons I really want to get out of the UK as soon as I possibly can. I don't want to live in a horribly overpopulated and possibly very polluted environment, thank you very much. Edit: Also remember that a lot of statistics are a bunch of not-very-cleverly-constructed lies, too.
  13. A large majority of people are cruel because someone is a little different to what they define as 'normal'. I know it's unfair but unfortunately it's one of these things that's going to go on forever. I'd say yes, glasses can for some people but not for others. I myself had them at a relatively young age and noticed no difference in the way I was treated at the time.
  14. It basically means you're using up all your virtual memory (a system used to aid the efficiency of RAM) and it's using some of your disk space to make up for the loss. Try not to run too many memory-consuming applications at once to avoid this. It may help you if you delete some of your Startup registry keys. That can be done using a program called CCleaner. It's a safe download. It's possible to do it manually but I've found this the simplest way to do it. Don't delete any Windows processes - only programs. This can reduce the virtual memory strain on your system at startup, hopefully solving your problem. Good luck!
