We ONLY hit reply all generally. Working in Tech makes that the mindset.

Moscow, Moscow, oh how [bleep]ing expensive it is here. Finally in my own timezone, but 15 hours is too much in any airport.

That red sauce was definitely not bbq sauce. In other news, in Hue, rolling around in millions and millions of dongs.

Just had the best pork ribs ever in a random roadside restaurant. Moderately spicy with some unknown red sauce. Excellent.

Visited the area with the world's largest known caves. Hot damn, it is hot and now I have sunburnt a t-shirt on. It is like 35 celsius here...

[bleep]in' hot in 'ere. Was kayaking in Lan Ha Bay, then went rock climbing for the first time ever, managed to step on some coral and slip on some sharp shells... Also swam in the bioluminescent plankton and overnighted on a boat. During a tropical storm. Then went for a true jungle hike. Got absolutely soaked with my [bleep]ing special waterproof hiking jacket all the way and including my underwear. Luckily it is warm in the jungle. Right now, I have 9 wounds on my right leg and 5 on left leg. Also abrasions and blisters on toes for I am NOT used to flip-flops. Luckily most of the wounds are sharp cuts that are less than an inch and not too deep, but still bought a package of a hundred band-aids. Predicting to be out before the end of the trip. If here weren't 20 cent beers and great food, I'd be super pissed. Or well, I am still pissed, but in a different way.
  7. I'm in 'Nam and won't be back for 2 weeks for new one.

My laptop was until this week my main gaming machine. And it does pack somewhat of a punch, could even run DA:I on it. With this one, I didn't even get that many pirated games. With steam sales and humble bundles and gog sales I just have that big of a backlog that I don't need to pirate anymore.

    Bleh, US politics.

Umm, do you even know what car is the Buick GNX? Pure 80's American muscle. They all made like twice the claimed horsepower on dyno. And I didn't even know any of these were in Europe. Only 547 total made and they were tuned by McLaren. It beat a [bleep]ing Ferrari F40 on a quarter mile. They cost around $100k each right now. It is pretty much the only American car I like. The European Mercedes Benz 500E from the same time is my second favourite from the 80's. Robust, brute, powerful. More power than you know what to do with. Tuned by Porsche.

I just saw a Buick GNX. In my hometown. I just wet myself.
  14. Fun fact: Runescape NXT client on lowest possible settings makes my computer as hot as Dragon Age: Inquisition. Talk about shitty optimization.
  15. After having played around 7 hours of DA:I, I can vouch that it has a lot of fetch quests that feel like padding. But the world is large. I am still in the "Beginner area". Somehow I think the Witcher 3 is still better. I wonder why.

Well, there are different standards to what is considered proper in faith or not. Harsh double standards exist in these topics...

I suppose that answers your question. Rough, man. Wish you the best. However, being a dad has its perks.
  18. Well, I'll be getting Witcher 3 aswell when I finally finish my desktop. However, that might still take months...
  19. Got Dragon Age: Inquisition. It even runs on my laptop.

Were you nearby to the areas most affected? Also, did you feel them yourself?

It's exactly 25 years, and 2 days that we have had our independence reinstated. It was at 11.03 PM on 20. of August 1991 that the declaration of reindependence was passed in the parliament of (Soviet) Estonia. It has been a heck of a ride. You have no idea how much that thing means for us. Russian tanks were at our capital at the time. People were barricading the TV tower and radio building and the governmental offices. Nobody of the people who signed the declaration were certain if they survive the night...

We don't have that military propaganda here. When you are a male and get 17 you receive a letter from the government that you are now eligible for conscription. And any year thereafter you may receive a letter to be at a medical examination somewhere. At least here the situation is quite secure, you are guaranteed by the state to have your school spot or work position until you are finished in 8 or 11 months, depending on the service. Also, all student loans and whatnot are frozen, you receive some pay, free board, and even medical care while you are in the army. That is just the way of life, just yesterday we celebrated the 25th anniversary of our reindependence. And to avoid ever having to have another liberation day or whatever, we take all precautions. Not easy living right next door to Russia. Or Sweden.

2 of my mates just got out of the boot camp from the first time since starting with service in early July. We're one of the few remaining European countries with mandatory conscription left. Probably something to do with being neighbours with Russia. And we are pretty much one of very few NATO member consistently spending over 2% GDP on military. In recent years, it has been even more like over 3% with modernising of all branches of military and building a brand new NATO airfield. Anyways, they also told how some equipment is old, even from Soviet times. Think flashlights, shovels, other such stuff that doesn't really need an upgrade. But most of the equipment is top notch, new. But both complained about long marches in full equipment, which is nearly 50 kilos. As of me, I am most probably exempt from the conscription due to issues with my knee. Having cartilage, meniscus and ligament damages are no easy stuff, especially when you have to wear heavy stuff through bogs and forests.
  24. That might take a while. Anyways, we have 23 votes, let's make this 25 like quaters and we're golden.
