Man, I hate when you have heaps of snow and you get positive degrees outside for a day and it's all a soft mush and you drive 2 km's on the bottom of your car cause the former crust has softened and the wheels fall through it... And then it freezes, so everything, absolutely everything is [bleep]ing ice and your studded tires are a bit too worn to be very effective and it all just goes to [bleep]ing shit. And everything still goes business as usual so you still have to be everywhere, cause no snow or cold is stopping anything here. And then you also break your good [bleep]ing ice scraper with the long handle and the brush on the other end.

I want to feel included and give in to peer pressure. [bleep] you Jeff Besos

C-c-c-c-combobreaker! Yay, ice skating again today.

People have been smoking in wooden buildings for as long as there has been smoking. Been a pretty busy week - driven over 600 miles, been to 3 choir practices, ice skated on every day except Monday and Friday, all my leg muscles are sore.

Tequila wasn't available here before capitalism, so my point still stands. Blimey, I should not drink that one brand of beer that I know always gives me a headache in the morning. Or, well, evening, as we finished at around 7 AM. But it was the only light beer left and I didn't want dark beer...

Tequila is the worst thing invented by capitalism.

Both of our cars are now [bleep]ed. My Subaru is still in pieces, although finally the sensor has arrived from Japan. Worst time ever for post ordering car parts -_- Volvo has the front suspension [bleep]ed. Yay.

speaking of which have you tried the baths? heard they're great in Budapest but never got around to really going when I was there Ofc I visited the baths. What else would you do there? Visited both Szécheny and Kiralyi baths. Szécheny is the big flagship spa with sth like 18 pools and amenities for thousands at the same time, it was pretty cool, though a bit overcrowded on January 1st. Seems like everyone came in to relieve the hangovers in the thermal baths. Kiralyi was a lot smaller, more intimate affair with 4 pools, a lot more rundown vibe, yet the staff were more attentive and nicer and the list of available services was nuts. Also, the fact that the main pools are there from mid 16th century from the Turks was also pretty cool. The octagonal main pool with a dome above it, and sight of sky from the holes in the dome... Not a place to spend a whole day in, however it was really lovely for the 2,5h we were there on a Saturday, soothing our hangovers from the day before...

Or from 6th of January for Russian Christmas. Man, this Hungarian trip has been awesome. Haven't really met any locals, but spent heaps of time with my best mate. Tried lots of stuff, let out a LOT of steam. Gonna hope that when I get back it's gonna be New Year, new me.

Headed for a daytrip to Visegrad. Slept in and when we got there, the castle was already closed. Oh well. Had some beers and here we are.

You guys ever seen The Hangover? That was my morning. Foreign country, being woken by a dude's toe poking into my ribs. Dude had socks and sweater, but no pants. I was fully clothed. Anyways,I was in a foreign bed where I most definitely was not supposed to wake up. I had no phone, no wallet. 21 grand loosely in my pocket. No [bleep]ing idea where I am. Later smelled kebab at the place where I was supposed to end up. Turns out there was a bag of it under the table. Found a receipt from my pocket for kebab at 3 AM. No recollection of it whatsoever.

Budapest is cheap. And big. And has lots of pretty houses. And some pretty girls. Time to get drunk and prepare for the hangover tomorrow.

Heading for my super expensive flight, almost at the airport when I ask my comrades about whether they have id-s with them. Check my own aswell, and turns out my wallet's id spot was empty. Fuuuuuuck. It's a 30 min one-way trip, about 1h return trip home to retrieve it. Wouldn't have made it for sure, cause I had just 1h20mins for departure. And I hadn't done check-in. And couldn't do it online anymore. Luckily, my dad picked up the phone, found the id card and raced to get it to me. Got through check-in 32 mins before departure. 7 mins before boarding. Lucky we have super advanced electronic security controls and shit.

Today was one of those days when I had a date with an Irish girl from Reddit, and after that thought to have maybe one beer with my mate and drive home as I was in town by car. That one beer turned to a liberation of Cuba (read: a bottle of rum with coke) and ~13 long drinks after that. So now it is almost 10 AM, I am drunk af, at home and the car is ~30 km's from me at a place where most likely I'll get a parking ticket by tomorrow. Ayyyyyyy

Why the heck would you need electrolysis to remove facial hair? Afaik it ain't permanent anyway, so it seems just like heaps of pain for no real result. Also, drunk tifing ftw!

Got the new God of War. Man, this thing is amazing. Already killed Balder. Boooooooy! -
I've caught a terrible cold. Again. In the morning takes me half an hour just to get my sinuses moderately clean. Sneezing and wheezing my ass off. Planned to go hiking, but not gonna happen anymore...

Well, you got to spend your Christmas with 20 mates, I spent mine with a drunk, obnoxious and occasionally crying grandpa and unbearably cranky brothers. I don't think I could even manage to get 20 people to spend Christmas with me, I spent my last birthday with only 1 of my brothers and my best mate, even though I had invited quite a few more.
-
Christmas is not about getting, but giving. I got practically nothing except the trip I bought for myself, yet I did heaps of stuff for others. Was pretty good to see them excited. Christmas can be a rough time, but get yourself into a foodcoma and sleep it out.
-
Merry Christmas everybody! Hope they are better for you guys than they are for me.
-
Go out. Reconnect with old mates, go window shopping, go hiking, if possible. Hiking in the winter wonderland is amazing.
-
Damn that hangover is tough. And it is still going! Decided against driving to my grandparents' place in this condition with stupid slippery roads about.
-
Same. Never had one.
