Typically people get a broker to handle importing, and that's their fee. That includes a whole bunch of stuff, like the actual government import fee, pinning magazines, doing paperwork, etc. If you buy from a store that already has an import agreement it's not so bad. You just have to deal with the bad exchange rate, and their markup.

I only stay at my desk for like half an hour at a time, then I go somewhere else to chill out for 15 minutes or so There really shouldn't be much of an argument here. You vote for the one who isn't actively trying to hurt peopleThat's a pretty simplistic statement. I doubt either of them believes their policies are going to hurt people, but they both will do so nonetheless. GARY JOHNSON 2016
  8. [spoiler=obligatory bathroom selfie] [spoiler=explanation] A good friend thought it would be hilarious to do this on a corner of the internet where I'm known for being both plant-obsessed and camera shy. I love what you've done with your hair ;)

still works, just calculate your hourly rate based on salary and hours worked per year

If you are sure to take a massive dump every day at work (averaging 10 minutes in length), you can use the following formula to determine the amount of money per year you are paid to take a shit: x = total "shit-dollars" y = hourly rate z = number of working days per year x = .17yz

In some religions, sure. In Roman Catholicism, the doctrine is about as clear cut as it can be. Now, that's not to say that people don't decide to ignore parts of it; clearly they do. But once you're prepared to shed one vital tenet of an ideology, subsequent ones usually drop off more easily.

Not that I suggest an abortion, but typically actual devout Catholics don't have premarital sex in the first place...

The US is 7th in the world in military size (by number of serving members). Your point still stands though.

A war with Russia or China would be about the only thing that would cause conscription to be implemented by the states now, I'd think. And neither is particularly likely... Anyway, the idea of conscription should be terrifying, because it would mean the existence of the country would be in serious jeopardy. I don't think most people would be excited about the idea, but given the right circumstances, it becomes something that needs to be done rather than something that one wants to be done.

I concur. Most people I've run into who know javascript picked it up on the fly. It's not really that hard of a language either.

It exists to some extent, but not to the .7c to the dollar ratio that's thrown around. When you account for the fact that women tend to start working later, retire earlier, take more time off, are less likely to work overtime, and choose to work in lower-paying fields, the gap is more like .96-96 cents on the dollar (at least in western countries), which isn't statistically significant. As far universities being "democratic indoctrination camps", I agree that's pretty hyperbolic, but there's a lot of proof that universities in general are more left leaning than right.
