  1. Hi guys. :) I've just started this thread, to see what you think about a RuneScape magazine being released. As it stands, there isn't one which exists - I personally think it would be a great addition to the current available RuneScape merchandises. So, what are your thoughts on a RuneScape magazine being released? Would you buy one? How much would you expect to pay for it? What content would you like to see? You don't have to answer the questions, they're just some points to think about. Any opinions are welcome. Once I get enough feedback on this, I may make a suggestion thread. Thanks in advance. :) Possible content suggested and discussed so far: Behind the Scenes. Sneak peak of future updates. Video of the week. Latest gossip. Players' opinions. Grand Exchange updates. Cool oufits. Tips on skills, money making, etc. One new quest guide every month. Famous quotes from Andrew Gower and Paul Gower. Questions being answered by Jagex Moderators. Helpful game tips. Small stories from RuneScape NPC's everyday-life, not available on the RuneScape website. RuneScape posters. Player-submitted stories about different situations in RuneScape. Contests for winning something like Andrew Gower signature on a magazine or getting your username for next months magazine! Games, this section should be called 'FunOrb' and it will have games such as crosswords, puzzles, etc. Glimpse of the Future section. Other points raised: Players would rather purchase it online than in-store. Have it available online for free using 'Ezine' or saving as a PDF file. Some feel that there would be no market as Fansites offer a similar use. Newspapers/Magazines are no longer as popoular as they used to be. Price ranges from Free - £2
  2. Thanks caribbeangirl, nice to see you again. :) Hi Been, sorry about that. I'm only going to probably be hunting on a Sunday now as time's coming a bit more limited with school. I'll do my best to keep you guys updated though. Thanks. :) Hey Twiley, hehe, Earthy Sun's a friend of mine. Sunny Earth's the Pmod though. Thanks too! :)
  3. What type of person will you add? Usually it'll be someone friendly, nice to talk to and doesn't break the RuneScape rules. Also I try and avoid the type of people who are constantly messaging you asking you things. How long will you need to talk to them before you add them? It tends to be at least a month. I never add anyone I've just met unless they need to urgently PM for something. I'd prefer to get to know them well before adding them. What type of person would you decline a friendship with? If someone's an honest and nice player I would rarely decline friendship - just aslong as I've known them for a reasonable amount of time. The only cases I would decline friendship, is if they're like a scammer or something. How would you break the news to them? I'd tell them "Nty, don't add people who can't play fairly", or use the reliable 'Friends list is full, sorry' excuse. What would make you take someone off your friends list? Sometimes I just can't say 'No' to someone if they ask to be my friend. In that case, I'll have them added a few days and then once I've thought about it, I would probably remove them. I don't feel too comfortable talking to people via PM who I don't know. Or even add them to the ignore list? I only add people to my ignore list if they're spamming - and that's only temporarily too.
  4. Very well written - couldn't agree more with everything you've said in there. :) Lol'd. :P
  5. Do you report a lot or something? I wish I was a player mod :( I've been on this account since the early days of classic. Seems like you are making a lot of progress. I can not stand hunter :wall: Nope not really, infact I did the opposite. :) I wouldn't report for minor rule breaks, only rule breaks which seriously effected mine or others game play. Best advice is to be yourself, help others, have a secure account - and remember - it's the quality of the reports over the quantity. :)
  6. 71 hunter. Been getting around 80k experience in hunter per day, which is roughly 200k cash. :) Only 3 days left until school starts again so progress will slow down then.
  7. Tip.It theme - it's easy to read and doesn't strain your eyes.
  8. Wow that's crazy. I really do find it difficult to comprehend how big the universe actually is. Thanks for posting this. :)
  9. -Getting served in a shop by someone chewing gum. -Shop assistants who would rather have a conversation with a colleague than serve you. -Folks who walk slowly, and don't leave room for you to walk past them. -Rudeness. -Bad table manners. -Repetative noises. -Rap. -Shouting instead of speaking. -The stuffy feeling you get when you've been on a plane for a while. -Getting woken up early by someone mowing the lawn (usually my dad). -Those really annoying types of laughing - you know the ones I mean. :ugeek:
  10. I started this account around March 2007 I think and got invited to join the Player Mod team in June 2008, so just over a year of playing. :) Thanks for posting!
  11. The last movie I saw was... High School Musical 3! \ Bought it on DVD yesterday lol. Personally I love the HSM films - they're funny and have catchy songs. A lot of people don't share that opinion though. :P High School Musical 3 was paticularly good, although it's the last film with the current cast in it which is a bit sad. Like with everything, the original cast aren't replacable in my opinion. I've read the book of that at school - after reading it I felt really strange, it had really effected me. It was such a sad and emotional book, I hope to see the film of it soon.
  12. -Tots TV! -The Wild Thornberries -Rugrats -Arthur -Fireman Sam -Teletubbies Haha, the memories.. :P
  13. Both sets of questions answered so far have been really interesting to read. It's great to see certain things such as junk trading from Jagex's perspective.
  14. Wow, awesome achievements, herblores my favourite cape *is jealous :P* Big congrats!
  15. *Has now gone to get my haircut* :P.. Won't be having too much off hopefully. Edit: Sorry to hear about that Meol. :(
  16. 15th February 2009 -87k Hunter Exp (2 hunter levels), 267 Red Chinchompas (188k) Today's gone pretty well. I've been able to hunt quite a bit without spot stealers apart from one. Competed with him for about half an hour and then gave up - not really worth the hassle tbh. Current Hunter level: 66!
  17. Yeah, when mining rune I will mine the rock whether someone is there or not. With something like Rune, where there is only two rocks in the wilderness, it really is all down to competition. If someone starts mining the rune rocks which I'm mining, I really don't mind. If I was mining granite though, it would be a different matter for me. At the granite mines there are a lot of rocks and also a lot of different worlds, so I don't really see a need to spot steal there. I understand that there is 'the best spot', but I can't see it making that much of a difference overall. :P
  18. Alan Carr - his video 'Alan Carrs Toothfairy Live' was hilarious imo. Definitely the funniest comedy I've seen. I also find Catherine Tate funny too. You might've only heard of them two though if you're from the UK. :P
  19. I'd like to do that, but the other person will usually have their mind set out on getting this spot. It's more hassle for me competing with them than it's actually worth - and it usually ends up with me getting in a bad mood. :P Sometimes I'll call a few friends over to begin hunting here though until he/she goes. That sometimes works lol.
  20. It's funny I'm reading this, because as of 2 minutes a go I had to hop due to a person stealing my spot whilst hunting. The bit which frustrates me the most is that the person would rather irritate and compete with me for half an hour rather than actually moving 2 squares to the right, catching just as many chins, but all being happy too. People shouldn't log in and just expect to be able to steal where someone is hunting or mining. I do understand that competition is apart of the game and I don't mind when people hunt near me - hunting in the exact spots where I am though is just pure rudeness. Usually I'll try and compete with them for a bit, but eventually I'll give up. I'd rather hop to a different world and get back onto the task at hand, otherwise I'm just wasting my time.
