  1. I like String ammies its non boring and You can multi task On the other hand ammies arnt selling to well i cant buy any even at max That's because you sell the ammies to the rouge south of the Varrock General Store, he buys for less since a recent update but it's still faster than selling them on the ge. He means he can't buy unstrungs on the GE
  2. she's in the farmhouse next to the farm, west of the ectofungus. she runs the farming store.
  3. I could get 70 def and Ahrims then do Aviansies, but i've never done GWD before so....yeah I'd prefer non-combat, but whatever is fast. So it looks like alching or pot and string ammies?
  4. You already answered this for me ;D I was looking for other opinions :P
  5. I want to get to 86 magic so I can stay on Lunars for farming, and to get plank make. I haven't done desert treasure, but i have done dream mentor. I've tried superglass, but the xp is very slow. Please don't suggest alching. Thanks for any help ^_^
  6. I would say at least 82. possibly up to 85ish, but take someone elses advice over mine.
  7. Disagree. It feels like its taking forever. Cooking is faster, easier and cheaper.
  8. I was 80+ at the time. But something like Trout to 59, salmon to 68, lobs to 81, swords to 90, monks to 94, sharks to 95, and rocktails to 99
  9. Cooking by far. you can do it in under 2 weeks for like less than 3 mil.
  10. when Runescape first started, players that chose Miner as their starting class would start with a pickaxe as well
  11. If 14 watermelons per seed is correct, then you're running a 58.9k loss for 6.4k xp per run. On top of that, you forgo the flower patch, which is 500 xp and 20k profit (limps). In total you lose 78.9k for 5.9k xp (13.4 gp/xp). Watermelons are basically the last thing to be added, even after magic trees, when maximizing marginal xp. At lower levels (lower than 68) I'd say it might be worth it, since it'll help you get to the higher trees quicker. I never said i anything about flowers or herbs. I plant toadflax and limps. And i'm aware at how inefficient watermelons are, as my plan is indeed to get to higher level trees faster. However, this topic was about levelling quickly, and the highest allotment you can plant will yield that. Farming is a slow skill, and I'd prefer to make it as painless as possible. Not that i can really afford it, but I'd like a somewhat respectable farming level. And the herbs and flowers make up for it, so instead of making profit, i break even on the skill for the sake of faster xp. It just boils down to laziness. With pretty much every other skill, i train as efficiently as possible based on my income.
  12. I personally plant watermelons, and i find the experience to be insane. I used to use sweetcorn for the extra experience, and its much cheaper, but I find that watermelons yield, on average 14 watermelons per patch that survives. At 54.5 experience per watermelon extracted, it adds up very quickly. I'm impatient, what can i say. Allotments are good for extra experience as sweetcorn is very cheap, but if you're looking to powerlevel, do the best allotment you can.
  13. F2P should get lower levelled potions, basic fletching and wave spells. I was f2p for many years. I had the money to buy members, but not the means until i turned 18. It's not always about not being able to afford it. The reality is that many f2pers are able to pay for membership, but there is no means to turn the money into member credit. And don't even suggest mailing them cash, that is a terrible idea. Training runecrafting and prayer in f2p is brutal. i had 50+ of all f2p stats before i turned to members, and i'm glad i bought the little prayer that i did when it was cheap. Runecrafting is slower than molasses. The only ideas that most members can get behind when speaking in terms of making things f2p are things that will make them money in game. Low level potions will make herblore cheaper, and possibly even giving them chaos druids or something that can drop grimy herbs. Make grimy herbs f2p so the price of herblore goes down? Give use to the potions that are now being made with the cheaper herbs? Sounds like something we can all get behind. Too many of us are thinking one-dimensionally. Using the concept of comparative advantage, we can see that leaving the tedious, menial, but somewhat profitable (for f2p at least) will make both parties happy. F2P get a new skill (to them) and better money-making techniques that aren't even close to members techniques, but better than current methods, and members enjoy the luxury of lowering the price of one of the most expensive skills and making more activities profitable in general. Seems win-win to me.
  14. I haven't done Desert Treasure, so Ancient Magicks are out
  15. could i just borrow a whip from someone, so if i die, they just get it back instantly? no risk there, right?
  16. Alright, i'll give it a run on Tues. probably. Inventory should be 20+ rocktails, superset? And i'd still keep 3 items if i die right, so i don't need to worry about losing a whip?
  17. I was wondering how difficult it would be, or if it is even possible to complete Dream Mentor with my levels. They're in my signature, but my strength is 64 (unranked). I plan on getting 70 attack and a whip before i attempt, but no other combat levels. Thanks for any input!
  18. Inflation isn't a problem for the vast majority of Runescapers. The real wage (as best as you can define it) hasn't really changed since the price of everything has gone up. That 1k of coal is still worth the 500 yews it used to be, and so on. The very wealthy are also unaffected by inflation as their boss hunting and merchanting benefits from the inflation, as more players believe they are able to afford the higher priced drops. Price floors are built into the game by hich alch prices. Prices of certain items will never drop below the Hi alch value + nature rune value, as you could hi alch it instead of selling it for less. This makes deflation an impossibility. Combined with the lack of good money sinks (Construction being the only one of note), the money supply continually increases. If some kind of control of the money supply existed (which it cannot based on game mechanics), then inflation could be controlled. However, moderate inflation at the very least is expected as it cannot be avoided. Therefore, the only way to "control" the money supply is to have money sinks which people cannot use to increase the money supply at a later time and has enough utility or repeatability to entice the player base to use the money sink for an extended period of time.
  19. What's gert new name? I hear Mauve's Army, but I'd think he'd at least be ranked in dungeoneering. According to his Total Level, he hasn't done any dungeoneering at all, he's been woodcutting.
  20. Steel & Mithril bars will both work fine; mind you Steel will be a little faster xp but might be a bit more loss. Won't be much loss (<50K) because you only need 70k Magic xp. Current prices Nat(263) + Mith ore (436) + 4 coal (1052) =1751 Mith bars sell for 1804, for a 53 gp profit. You don't lose ANY money, you get more money and xp per cast with mith than steel, however.
  21. And you profit on everything steel and above (except gold of course) Thats how i got my smithing so high, even in f2p. Superheat is really underrated
  22. I'm also going for 99. The only thing you profit on is yew longs and its only 20% of the time max. Unless you make your own bowstrings or cut your own logs. Once in a while, you can make money off of bolts. This is especially true if you make your own at Blast Furnace. But no, there isn't a method that only uses fletching to make money all the time. I would be using it if there was.
  23. Thanks for all your help guys, especially L0rdAki :D
  24. Yeah, i'm doing tarromins/marrigolds right now. Then i'll to the best herbs i can of those listed once i get the levels ^_^ On a another note, whats the best way to get supercompost?
  25. THANK YOU!. This is exactly the type of thing i needed. Thank you very much! ^_^
