Well I use to want to be able to change them with an old account. I had a range pure who I believe was 87 range when I quit and pretty low combat, kicked butt in old wildy. But there were spaces in the name...multiple ones so it made some stuff hard, like back then selling on the forums was impossible with the name. I quit that account now, so it's not really an issue for me anymore - but I can see why some people would still want to change their name. I only wanted a name change back then for 'practical reasons' and for that, I think you should be able to. But for just 'because I want to' .....i'm not so sure if people should be able to on that.

Your reading too much into it, he was probably just busy.... Besides is he really worth talking to if he ignores you...or is he really worth taking the time out of your day to make an entire topic over him.

From talking to RSC players and reading tip.it interviews (like the Sir Beachy one) it seems that the RSC community was tight, and more mature because they were a lot more condensed. They had to at least kind of get along or at least tolerate eachother because there was a lot less RS space back then. Now with so many people your going to get a lot more disconnection. And with a lot more people come a lot more idiots. Even though I still think overall RS isn't too bad with behavior (in member worlds). Obviously the higher levels you come in contact with, the more chance they are going to be mature, because they have been playing a lot longer and have probably learned at that point that being immature doesn't get you far. But theres always going to be problem kids.

Yeah, it's a shame. I'm the only one down my road too for a mile, so no hope dsl/cable even coming down here. :roll: Suppose it's a good thing that RS is the only game I like and it can run on dial-up. :D

True, I guess people on dial-up are just the scum in gutters in the online world.

Basically most girl char's are guys in RL as everyone already knows. Now that they can't really get "freebies" off their 12-year-old male boyfriends because of the trade limit, these shemale rs players are staying female for some pretty psychologicaly messed up reasons...

I wasn't targeting you. And I'm not speaking of the population using dial-up, but those who are using cable/DSL. It is quite easy to find another game, a simple Google search for an MMORPG games list, has yielded quite a few browser based games to me in the past, which I've tried (though weren't to my liking). Browser based games require little to no downloads, especially not "massive download at the begining/huge hundred of MB size file updates". I am very educated in the matter of internet download speeds, as well as many other computer-related matters, so I do know what kind of predicament you're in AND I sympathize with you for having such a slow internet, so don't worry. But again, I am ONLY referring to those who ARE CAPABLE of searching for another game, yet choose not to do so. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you or something. I wasn't qouting you at all. Your post was fine the first time, I agreed with you :thumbsup: . In my post you can see I qouted RandomKnight. Ok? So I wasn't saying anything against you, your post I agreed with.

I like them in the game because they bring a sense of compition somewhat... Everyone pick's which one they "believe" in and those people pick the items by that god, like God books, and summoning eggs. Kinda says something about people's personalities too I think, if they pick saradomin to me- their a little bit more calm and the future "mod" type. Guthix, they don't really pick side and are go-with-the-flow. Zamorak and their the out-going attack everything type. But I probably read way too far into that -.-

First off, im not complaing - like I said I don't even player-kill. Seemed like you were directing that to me exactly. And also, its not as easy as you think to find another game to run on dial-up- all other mmorpgs require a massive download at the begining of playing/huge hundred of MB size file updates. So, you are uneducated on that matter, no offense at all. Also, maybe there is a rare game you could find somewhere that is barley dial-up compatable, im sure it doesn't even rank close at all to the level that runescape, wow, and other mmorpg's are.

MadMax is right about 1 thing. People that have quit/are quitting over the updates always act as if the game is "ending very soon" - and it's just because they are quitting, runescape is NOT ending at all. There WILL be new updates for pvp and the trade system (or at least the g.e.) within this year and the next. You have to wait for good things...

Well even if i wanted to go to a new game - I couldn't. I have dialup, because I live in the woods - not by choice. I dont't pk anyway so the whole BH thing does not bother me. I am just saying, that when the update did come out, I thought about what you said "switch to another game" - but as far as I know, no other mmorpg graphically good as rs (or better) could run on dialup. Just kinda proving a point, not everyone has open options to just "switch" game all of a sudden if they don't like how things are going. But like I said, personally I still love runescape because I don't ever really player kill.

Im hopefull that there will be another "non safe" mini game eventually... I want the danger back too. =D>
