Ya I totally agree. I don't post much but I always liked runescape for what made it unique such as a non super complex game interface and playing style. This update only seems to complicate the game and confuse pkers and boss hunters for a while. If you think multiplying everything by ten is difficult, then you better go back to school mate. By that logic, shouldn't any armor past rune make you want to quit? No, because they're have always been different armours, but there has always only been double digit hp. Seeing as you probably haven't been playing as long as I have or else you would understand, let's compare this to real life shall we? Let's say you like watching a tv series, and have been for the past 6 years. Than one day the producer of the show changes the show to only black and white, no colors. How about that?

You clearly didn't read the whole topic. Considering people have explained how it opens up the door for weapons that hit higher. Care to explain? If the hitpoints and damage are multiplied using the same ratio, than essentially what we had before was the same, so this changes nothing. Simple logic. As others have said, now that your constitution level and lifepoints bar are separate, we can have lifepoint boosting set effects or items like the constitution potion that will raise your max lifepoints. You sir, clearly do not get what i'm saying. They could have added all that when we had 99 hp, this doesn't change anything. Jesus, it's a constant ratio.

For the people saying that this update opens the door for weapons that hit higher, IT DOESN'T. Since hitpoints and the max amount of damage you deal deal are both multiplied by the same ratio of 10, nothing changes.

Pretty sure you won't be able to do that, it will just take the old hits and multiply them by 10, so you can only hit in intervals of 10, not 1.

Jagexx has some really bad logic, the amount of zero's people hit will be the same. <_<

Unique does not mean better mate. Never said better? I just liked how unique runescape was, all the mmo's followed each others footsteps, and it looks like Runescape has started to follow too.

This update is pretty lame. If you compare the game now to back in 2004, almost everything has been revamped, and hitpoints were one of the last shreds of runescape in 2004 that we had left. The fact that Runescape only had a max of 99 hp, is what made the game unique to other mmo's because you'll find that hardly any other mmo has a max hp of under 100.

According to the hiscores, your not banned. Stop being dumb and acting like your banned.

I remember flashing notices on the screen telling people that "xxxxx has been banned for bug abuse". Notably happened after the phat dupe if I recall correctly. And the knife bug. Yea I recall those messages popping up also, at the time I didn't understand what bug abuse pertained to though.

Jagex used the 'name and shame' when they banned the first macros. But ever since, they seem to only mention total levels and play time. With society these days, I only see these people becoming 'idols' for the noobs who think that this sort of thing is somehow funny or cool. I think that just showing the fact that Jagex does not disclude you based on levels on time ingame is enough to deter some potential rule breakers. And to the people who say they would abuse the bug if they had known about it: you people sicken me. The fact that you would knowingly exploit an accidental fault in Jagex's system for your own gain shows a real flaw in your self dicipline and morals. You know that abusing the bug will affect the game as a whole and yet you put yourself above others, and that is the definition of selfish. But hey, that's just my thoughts. Appearantly I'm part of a dying breed that actually cares about others..... First off, let me say that this is Runescape, morals and ethics died ages ago in this game. That being said, the ambition for money is what overtakes people, it's like an adrenaline rush, your making billions and trying not to get banned. This kind of glitching breaks the monotony of the game and provides an actual thrill that only could be had from several years ago. I'm not saying I condone it, but your rationale towards these people is a bit harsh.

Yes, apparently temporary 14 day bans were placed on all accounts so that jagex can do further investigation instead of just banning them right on the spot. So don't be to upset Dan.

For everyone wondering, as far as I've heard, there are 2 types of bans, temp and perm. Temp is 14 days with no appeal, and perm is well permanent but you have the option to appeal I believe. I've also heard of some people coming back and having their perm bans lifted after 2-3 years. This is all merely what i've heard from people, but it's the most substantial thing I found.
