  1. I've never use a pyrelord for anything other than rings of slaying so far, and used assistance to do that so I was expecting to get 0 exp then. Are you saying we can't get any crafting exp while crafting jewelery with a pyrelord?
  2. Using a pyrelord lets you craft them without a forge, which makes getting assistance for them a lot easier. :)
  3. But unlike most jewelry, you don't need to enchant it. Just make it like D Jay99 said and it's ready to use.
  4. I don't know if there's more than one guide for Tarn's lair on tip.it or what, but http://tip.it/runescape/?page=tarns_lair.htm has this map that only shows the path straight to Tarn: That same page also has another map that shows how the floors of the dungeon are laid on top of each other, if you prefer that: edit-the interactive part of this map doesn't work on the forums, but mouse over the floor names on the tip.it guide linked above to see how the floors connect better This second map also has the path straight from the entrance to Tarn marked on it with a yellow line. One important thing that's not clearly labeled on the second map is the entrance. It's on the bottom floor.
  5. I did ME2 at lvl 58 agility, and the reward at the end gave me lvl 59. The handholds are the only part of the quest that high agility helps on, and you only need to cross them twice. Yeah, the quest is kind of long, but having a high agility lvl is only going to shave a few minutes off of a 4 hour quest.
  6. Nice, this is exactly what I wanted to see happen to the game. :) Now I just need to finish crafting the last 1k of the essence I bought the day before the RC guild came out.
  7. Thanks, that guide is even more detailed than I was hoping for.
  8. I've used the ring to teleport from the Edgeville bank to the fairy ring in Relleka more than a few times myself. :)
  9. I just got my first scabarite task, and I've heard a lot of people recommend blocking them. I've also heard a few people say that they're fast exp if you know where and how to do them though. I've got over 100 points right now, but I've never blocked a task yet and I don't think I want to block this one without at least trying it once. I did a search and found 2 really short threads that weren't as helpful as I was hoping for. Anyone got any advice?
  10. Sorry, but probably not. The RC guild got more people interested in RC than before, and also gave them a way to get essences faster than before, which is also way more fun than mining them. Maybe if you're lucky, the demand for essences will increase even more than the supply increased? It's hard to predict, since a lot of the new essences might get used up by the same people that used the RC minigame to get them to begin with.
  11. Unless something's been changed already, you CAN buy noted pure essence for 1 token each.
  12. I'm with asianboy7o7. Cheaper runes means it's easier to get magic exp. The glass looks half full to me. It'll be interesting to see where the price of essence settles after the initial rush of people trying to get lvl 50 dies down. How long will people stay interested in runecrafting? How many people will play the minigame and sell the essences from that instead of crafting them?
  13. It would be a lot easier to answer if the G.E. database showed trade volumes for items that don't make the top 100, and 30 day histories of trade volumes. I would really love to see both of those features added, it would make merchanting more of a science and less of a gamble. Did gold bars used to show up on the top 100 sellers back when the price was stuck at the 180 gp bottom limit?
  14. We aren't flaming them. We are saying that the flames aren't as socially acceptable as to think they are. Other then that, what are you talking about? :? You're funny when you try to troll people. Or maybe you're funny when you're oblivious? I don't know, but I'm laughing either way, and thank you for that. :) If you want a serious reply, this is all I have- the internet is filled with people that act like even bigger jerks than they really are IRL (IRL is important, because the internet isn't real and it's not part of anyone's life). There's as many different reasons behind why they act like a jerk as there are people. The fastest easiest most efficient most respectable way to deal with it is just don't waste your time letting it bother you. Because if you let it get under your skin, and then you start complaining about it, you just might end up sounding like just as big of a jerk as the people you're complaining about, but for different reasons.
  15. If I started flaming people for being self righteous braggarts, would it mean that I'm jealous because I really want to be self righteous enough to consider myself better than everyone, or because I'm too stupid or lazy to know how to brag properly? <3 the irony of the thread though  people flaming people for being flamers is 100% pure unadulterated lulz.
  16. I'm sure that you would be wasting a good deal of time by constantly summoning and dismissing. Using super energies would be much less hassle, and they were cheap as hell the last time that I sold some. If ~10 seconds once every five runs is a good deal of time to you, then yeah, "constantly" summoning and dismissing does waste a good deal of time. :P It's really about the same as super energy pots in the long run. Pouches and scrolls are a couple hundred gp cheaper, but you spend a few extra seconds and a couple extra clicks to dismiss it when you're done. Sup energy potions are a few seconds faster as you use them, but you spend a few extra seconds earning the gp to cover their slightly higher cost. I personally have several hundred more terrorbird pouches and scrolls than I do energy potions, so that's what I use.
  17. Terrorbirds are dirt cheap. You can summon one, use a couple scrolls while you're banking, and dismiss it while you're running toward the abyss or balloon.
  18. I can't speak for most people, but I have complained a couple times about losing, so I'll at least explain my opinion a little better. Imagine that you and four other players have all perfected the art of returning the orbs to the altars. There's absolutely nothing that any of you can do to gather the orbs faster. All five of you are the epitome of orb collecting pwnership. But there's a sixth guy, that's only playing at 85% capacity. Nothing you can do or say will ever teach him how to perform at 100% capacity. Or maybe his internet is unstable and he's lagging. Or maybe something important came up IRL and he had to leave after the second round. It doesn't matter really, the point is that he's not perfect. The 1,000 token question is: is guy #6 on your team, or the other team? Flip a coin, and either you get all of the reward, or none of the reward. Even if you get the guy that's playing at 85%, and you score 12 orbs every time the other team scores 13 orbs, you get no reward. I know I've exaggerated a little bit to make my point easier to see. In the real world, most of the time you'll either win most rounds and only loose a couple, or vice versa. I like the game, and I think it's a lot more fun than running through the abyss. I like the rewards too, and I want to play the game. But the most important thing to me is: my time is valuable. If the people in charge of the runecrafting guild want me to do their dirty work and collect all those orbs, I expect them to compensate me for my time. Every time, not just when the coin lands on tails and I don't get Mr 85% on my team.
  19. I agree 100% I don't like how the token rewards are an all or nothing situation. I think both teams should get a token reward based on how many orbs they get, and you should get a bonus of say 50% more tokens on the rounds that your team wins. Something like that would still encourage people to try as hard as they can to win, because you'll get more tokens for winning. It would also stop people from leaving before the game's over, because you still get a reward for doing your best and not giving up even though you're out-numbered.
  20. When You use a Share potion spell on lunar Lets say u wanna share a prayer pots with 3 people The pot has 3 dosses Each person takes one does of the pot So using that spell with a 3 dose and 3 people is like 1 person drinking prayer pot (1) If there's more people next to you than there are doses of your potion, is there a way to predict who gets the potion and who gets left out?
  21. Thought the reward was only "Rune Ess"? It's pure essence. I thought it was probably a bug when I first heard that you get pure essences even though the interface says that you're buying "rune essence". But I hope it's here to stay honestly. I think it's appropriate that people with lvl 50+ runecrafting should be able to get essences way faster than people with lvl 30 mining.
  22. The staff binds with a specific talismen I think. I saw one person with it and it looked like a staff with an air talisman on top  Anyways, the point of the staff is basically to equip a talisman in your weapon slot. It also lets you evade the eyes in the abyss all the time too. But that would mean sacrificing an axe/pickaxe in the weapon slot. I'm not sure which of those is quicker but I prefer to mine through or use agility. However I bought the staff because it looks cool, building up a supply of vyre corpses and teak pyre logs to try and get some blood tallys now, and ordered a friend to keep death tally drops from dark beasts :) Don't horde them for too long, the wizard gives them back to you after you show them to her. The omni talisman actually makes all of the old talismans *less* useful, and in the long run they'll probably become *less* valuable.
  23. Ugh. People bashing an update without doing research. Yes, once you have the tablets, it will be comparable to cooking for leveling. But remember a) The RC xp values are small to begin with. B) It takes time playing the minigame to get those tablets. They're untradeable and can only be bought with points. Granted, you get about 10 tablets per 10 min game, but it's still not the end of the world. But the problem is: even during the gathering of tablets you gain a lot of xp! (double xp for crafting runes every 20 seconds: which is faster than a normal run of 100 seconds using abbys + super energies) You get double exp during the game right? I got 542 exp for all the runes I crafted during one game. How are you coming up with the double exp every 20 seconds, did I miss something?
  24. I wasn't running a stopwatch, but I think I read that each round lasts 2 minutes. I got 200 tokens for an 8 round game. My team lost most of the rounds, but they were all close. So I spent about 16 minutes earning tickets for 5 teleports to an altar. If I could instantly refill my pouches and inventory with essence between clicking the teletabs, I would have spent well over 3 minutes per trip to an altar. If you're on a losing team, the results aren't all that hot. How many tokens can you get if your team wins all 8 rounds? I don't care enough to try again right now. :P The astral teletabs I bought should last me a week or so, then I'll go give it another shot.
  25. The reason you've heard about void+knives so much is because knives are almost always used on monsters with extremely low defense. Improving your accuracy by adding +range on your armour against monsters with really low defense doesn't make you kill them any faster because you're already hitting them almost all the time. But improving your damage with void armour does help you get exp faster.
