  1. I'm gonna hijack this thread instead of starting a new one. What are the odds of getting 4 god eggs and all of them being red? Is the Zamorak bird more common, or is that just a coincidence?
  2. For the longest time, I've been wishing that there was an "all" option for repetitive things like buying from npcs and fletching and etc... Instead they gave us something even better! <3 I'm off to go see if they actually added the new option to everything now.
  3. I had always just assumed that broad bolts only worked against turoths and kurasks. I don't know why I thought that though, magic dart works just fine on targets other than turoths and kurasks. Thanks for the tip. :)
  4. I'll admit I haven't done very much blackjacking, but I've done enough regular pickpocketing to know that you can pickpocket way faster by watching for the text message that tells you whether you were successful or not, instead of watching the whole animation. Do you need to wait for the animation to finish now before you can pickpocket them again?
  5. I like that planner, and I would have liked it even more before I built my house. Here's my house plan (copy/paste it into the runehq planner): RTIRXQRYPSRNSUMSYDTSITVQTZGTfFUZHUdO There's a skill hall below the quest hall too, but it's the only room in my basement so far. I might add a second study under the first one if I get bones to peaches.
  6. I went fishing for 38 minutes a little bit ago and ended up with 25330 fishing exp and 82 sturgeon in the bank. (I didn't count how many swordfish the ibis caught, oops.) That's just a hair slower than a 40k exp per hour pace, and with the current market price of 574gp per caviar, almost 75k gp per hour too. So yeah, it's not a huge ammount of cash per hour, but it'll add up to about 670k more (not including the sturgeon I've already banked from 70-72) by the time I hit lvl 76 and move on to sharks. 40k exp/hr is plenty fast enough for me, I don't mind giving up 4k exp for 75k gp every hour.
  7. Hmm, me + an ibis should, in theory, let me fish at the same speed as you without a familiar. I'm really not interested in a "race" because I already told you in my first post that I'm taking a ~10% loss of speed by banking. I know this. I'm more interested in proving that the invisible +3 boost from the ibis is just as good as 3 real fishing lvls. Can I trust you not to use fishing potions?
  8. If your fishing lvl is significanly above 72, I don't think a race would show anything about our methods at all. Why are you trying to turn this into a pissing contest? There's more than one way to skin a cat.
  9. I have thought about what I'm saying. :P I know that saving the sturgeon is slowing me down a little, I said that in my first post. Now you think about what I'm saying please -- dropping the junk fish and using regular fishing bait is faster than using the offcuts and caviar and roe for bait. I know it's not a huge amount faster, but combined with being able to sell the caviar or use it for herblore exp makes it the best method for me.
  10. The whole purpose of fishing barbarian is the speed, Your loseing maybe 1-2 invintories of fish by not cutting and not dropping. It is a repeated cycle, you should'nt move more than 10 spaces at any give time. As D jay99 posted: (sorry, too lazy to quote) Bring 25 bait. Use up the bait. Cut the fish. Use the offcuts until you have a full inventory. Drop the offcuts.<------Dropping the offcuts will give you one invintory space, now, it'll fish a single fish for a single roe and a single fish for a single caviar. Use the caviar/roe.<---------in the end, you should have 1 invintory space free, from dropping offcuts. Cut the fish. And so on.<----------he meant repeat. Do not bank anything. Also, cutting them up is so much faster, your gaining 1million+ exp in cooking, agility, and strength. Starting at level one, that could get you to 73 in each skill. Think of how bored your gonna be sitting at a bank cutting fish. It is like "the fletching horror x2". I understand that heavy rod fishing is all about speed, that's why I don't waste my time cutting the fish while I'm fishing. Dropping them and using regular fishing bait the whole time is faster than cutting them and futzing around with the offcuts and roe and caviar. Eventually, I'll spend 1/4 as much time cutting fish as you do (since I'm only saving the sturgeon, which are about 1/4 of my catch). But when I cut my fish, I'll be left over with something I can either use for herblore exp, or sell for cash.
  11. I've gone from lvl 70 to 72 with heavy rod fishing so far. I tried cutting the fish for the first few inventories, but then I remembered that fishing bait is only 2gp each. I am never going to cut another leaping trout or salmon again, ever. Fishing bait is only 2gp. All that clicking is absolutely not worth the time and effort just to save a measly ~50gp every inventory. I drop all the trouts and salmon, and take the sturgeon to the drop box at the Barbarian outpost. I'll cut them later because ~450gp each for the caviar seems like it will be worth the time and effort. But I'll do it some other time, while I'm not trying to get fast fishing exp. Edit just to add a little bit more info: About 25% of what I catch are sturgeon, and it takes me about 10 minutes to fill up my inventory with sturgeon while dropping the others. It takes about 1 minute to run to the Barbarian outpost, bank, and run back. So saving the sturgeon instead of dropping it slows me down about 10%, but I can live with that because the caviar looks like it will make a decent profit eventually. I use about 350 fishing bait per Ibis. (36 minutes iirc)
  12. http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/frontpage.ws The new official Jagex page is remarkably faster today now that it's been revamped. Can leetchecker do anything that the official page can't? If the speed used to be the only difference, leetchecker looks obsolete to me.
