  1. All of these are very well made I congratulate you on your splendid work. My only criticism and perhaps this is just personal preference but some of your signatures have a monotone feel to them and could use with a larger palette of colors to bring them to life
  2. when one of your account names is blocked by current chat filters
  3. agreed on the chest logo, also instead of looking for a new render I would just add some work to the render itself to give it less of a dull feeling good stuff though
  4. wow that is turning out pretty amazing keep up the good work
  5. hehe well it was only a small example of the bands I used to listen to, the only ones I could think of off the top of my head, but your responses exemplify difference in opinion, you find the tech metal artists mentioned above to be bad while myself in the past found the technical skill in many of these artists to be exciting. was able to dig up my old last.fm to give a more in depth list of all the metal artists I listened to. (also was able to see a few non metal artists I hadn't listened to in ages and had forgotten about : ) -Slayer -As I Lay Dying -The Black Dahlia Murder -Metallica -Norma Jean -Opeth -Darkest Hour -Nasum -Lamb of god -Through the Eyes of the Dead -A Life once Lost -Children of Bodom -As Blood Runs Black -The Red Chord -Job for a Cowboy -Pantera -The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza -Bring me the Horizon -Into the Moat -Animosity -Tool? is that considered metal? haha I would think maybe might be considered more rock but whatever -Shadows Fall -Genghis Tron -Suicide Silence -Ivebeenshot -Dead will Rise -Arch Enemy -Embrace the End -Cattle Decapitation -Circle of Dead Children -Daughters -Kaamos -splatterhouse -the Locust -Behemoth -Underneath the Gun -Martyr -Dance Club Massacre -Jason Becker -Ed Gein -Belie My Burial -In Flames -Pig Destroyer -From a Second story Window -Trivium -Carcass -Goratory -Heavyheavylowlow -See You Next Tuesday -The Chariot -An Albatross -The Dillinger Escape Plan -Marduk -Emperor -Waking the Cadaver -Bleeding Through -Dark Funeral -Knights of the Abyss -Darkthrone -Arsis -Capharnaum -Amon Amarth -Napalm Death -At the Gates -Down -25 Dollar Massacre -Nile -Naglfar -Watain -Deicide -1349 -Murder comes in Rows -Abigail Williams -Burzum -Robinson -Dismember Lastly escapism to you is the avoidance of reality by absorption in entertainment or in an imaginative situation? I find something rooted in that to follow closely with fear, the same with anger so it still hang within the same spectrum of fear
  6. my favorite series at the moment would either have to be Carlos Castaneda's works or the Conversations with god series. They are both excellent series hard to choose between the two, any other fans?
  7. I enjoy reading each of your comments : very well illustrated points. but I must stress as I have said before these are my own opinion based upon my own experience in metal for me metal was too much of a one dimensional genre and I outgrew and began to listen to something else, for another it could be a great joy and driving passion. MY experience conflicts with another's "truth" or experience; yet it remains a truth. Life offers many paths in practically every facet, there is no right or wrong simply other ways. you may call my experience ignorant but I ask how can such a claim be made? what the word metal is to me is certainly different than what the word metal is to you, for each of us has experienced different musical groups which alters our descrpitive capabilities on our experiences. on the surface it appears quite similar but a closer look reveals each has it's own unique descriptive properties. For example when I state metal is very anger focused, I am not very focused on the subject matter for in my experience with metal the lyrics were never an important part for me, as a guitar player I payed large attention only to the guitars which carried sounds that I associate with the emotion anger. For those curious of what my experience in metal was I shall list a few of the band names I still remember. -Spawn of Possession -Cryptopsy -Necrophagist -Pyscroptic -Atheist -Between the Buried and me -All Shall Perish -Glass Casket -The Faceless -Beneath the Massacre -Sleep Terror -[bleep]...Im dead -Aborted -Severed Savior -Cephalic Carnage -At the Throne of Judgment ...bout all I can remember
  8. I would turn to nature and live off the lands using my creative power of thought to solve my problems
  9. oh man very awesome, thank you \
  10. hehee kinda figured that comment would push a few people's buttons, first let me state that what I said was my own personal opinion based upon the experiences of my life and holds no real weight in applying it to the experiences of any of you, after all truth is relative and any statement can hold multiple truths. I do not believe my statement to be of an immature nature oldjoe, though as a fan of metal I can see how you could take it this way and I completely understand for I have been there myself. you state you have been listening to it for 16 years, that is wonderful but in those 16 years have you undeviatingly listened to metal or have your tastes changed incorporating countless new genres as you have matured? I would gladly make that statement to someone like Lemmy, Geezer, or Ian, and it is my opinion that I would think most would agree with me. Ian paice's drumming is very jazz influenced so it is obvious that he did not simply stay with metal but outgrew it and expanded which in turn gave his playing a unique addition to metal. do not know much of either lemmy or geezer, but I am sure all these years later from when they originally started their bands they have "outgrown" metal as well and instead spend more time exploring other musical genres. Picturing Lemmy or Geezer sitting around listening to modern day metal bands such as Necrophagist or Psycroptic all day seems a bit silly no? I call metal a "childish" genre for it is focused too much on the one emotion, anger. In result you have large number of bands that take themselves way too seriously and in extreme cases perform ignorant acts such as church burnings, etc. Metal is not the only childish genre, many others fit the description such as commercial rap with its large focus on money, not sure what you call it but I think "screamo?" and its focus on teen angst etc. but hey remember these are all MY OWN OPINIONS there is no right or wrong here.
  11. seem to like a lot of older rock music so I'm going to recommend Mahavishnu Orchestra The Mothers of Invention Ash Ra Tempel Carlos Santana And John McLaughlin's album Love Devotion Surrender Can King Crimson my last.fm http://www.last.fm/user/Aiikou
  12. very cool, the render and background really blend together exceptionally well, my only criticism would be the choice of scan lines which in my opinion really has no business in this signature at all
  13. #1: the render and background style are very conflicting; the swirls you have going around the renders flame not only do not match the flow, but also appear to be randomly scattered across the signature giving it no real feeling. I personally feel more should be added to the background besides the swirls you got going on there but that is just my opinion. and lastly the text doesn't go with the signature at all, not just the chosen font but its overall presentation fails to give it a feeling of being a part of the picture, instead giving it that pasted onto a picture look. #2: Very simple, almost seems as if you didn't do very much, same problem with the text as well. #3: This one seems to change styles from the left side to the right, the right having more of a vector feel to it then the left side. the red heart does not fit in well at all and I would lose the outline you have going around it. the render is very blurry, might want to go with a better render or if it is not the case of the render and simply human error, hold shift when resizing renders. lastly the text fails to fit the signature. #4: did you use the sharpen tool for this? many parts of the signature are just way too sharp, and need to be blurred in multiple areas. in the right top corner the yellow line seems to end abruptly, might want to fix this. the text once again fails to fit the feel of the signature as a whole. #5 & #6: not even really sure what you did on these ones so not going to make any comments on these two. #7: The best out of the group, for the most part the effects are quite well done , could use a little bit of fixing near his hand where there seems to be a dark spot, and I would personally use the dodge tool to brighten up the render to match the overall "bright feeling" the signature has. two last comments the text once again fails to fit the feel of the signature and I would suggest going maybe for a little bit more of a transparent feel to the text. Lastly, this may just be my own personal preference but I would lose the white border, or at the very least try a smaller pixel size border. Keep it up though man seem to be doing quite well for someone with such inexperience, and with dedication you can be doing some amazing stuff in no time :D
  14. I like her.... but seriously no not really
  15. I personally find metal to be a rather childish genre that most people grow out of around finishing high school.. but all that aside a friend of mine is still into that stuff and I have heard him speak of the dvd entitled "The Zen of Screaming" by a Melissa cross... like I said I'm not a fan so I can't guarantee anything of the product but if you really wish to learn, what could taking a look hurt
  16. when your character was originally created under the "ranger" class or when you purchased a santa hat for 150k considered this to be "high priced"
