need help leveling mining and smithing with several methods
Before I ask my questions I will give my background info I want level 60 mining and smithing I am 49 smithing I am 58 mining I only have 2 million pure gold I am level 70ish combat I am looking for a cost effective way to get my smithing and mining to 60. I obviously have to mine for mining though. So... where should I mine, what should I mine? I am looking for what will get me the fastest mining xp. I don't want to do the drop ores method though in particular, I know lots of people like that, but I would prefer to avoid it. For smithing keep in mind I can get the goldsmithing gauntlets and I can get some sacred clay hammers too, i have some prototools in my bank. I want to know if there are any end products that are worth more than the starting product, or anything that is relativly good too smith without losing money. I bought a whip at about 2.4 million gold so my money is low. I can't do much about that. It seems hard to find any smithing guide because it is such a boring outdated skill that was ruined by the ge.

New event item not listed on tip it
On August 28 2010 Jagex ran the runefest 2010 real life event. As a reward players were given special codes to get the flagstaff of festivities. I saw this standing in the ground when I looked at it I discovered we have no record of it on tip it! so here is all the information. So I will try to make this as perfect as possible! Item Name:"Flagstaff of Festivities" Members?:no unlocked by quest?:no tradable?:no stackable?:no examine:<unknown> weight:unknown category:*equippable sub-category:*weapon No GE prices non-tradable Alchemy price:0(I assume) Location:Players recieved this item by attending the first runefest event in the United Kingdom on August 28 2010 Uses:Hold it or plant it on the ground for other players to see and click on, it will bring up a close view on who it belongs to and give some information. It cannot be planted on the ground if there is another nearby. Notes:To get this item a person had to attend the runefest event. Players under drinking age were not allowed, and the event was only for one day, so few of these items exist. To get the item players were given a special code through Email if they bought a ticket. This code was redeemed through Diango In Draynor Village (in game) for the item. If planted on the ground, the item will still show in the player's inventory, and can be recalled by right clicking it or by wielding it. This means that no matter where the player is, it will stay where it is, a waypoint will show the owner the location of the item if they forget where they placed it. When placed on the ground other players can view a pop up screen which details who owns it, and details about runefest, it also links to runescape.com's official holiday item list with more details about the item as well. Links:Holiday and rare items guide Stats:*0 across the board Equipment slot: weapon So here are a couple images of the item in action. <--From the runescape website. If someone wants to they can certainly edit out the unwanted chunks on the second two, I can't at the moment. *values and information are only implied due to the nature of the item gleaned from other items like it. I hope this helped. I can't wait to see it updated. This is a really cool item(I wish I had it)

Tip it youtube channel
I see. Well there is a lot to what you said. So I thank you for the informational reply. I hope that in the future, with an improvement in technology, we can do this and do it well. At this point I think the general population isn't able to do this which may be why this hasn't succeeded before. But I felt at this point we had enough people that could do this. If I had a computer that wasn't Frankenstein's monster, I would so be doing this. I guess I will stick to normal content until I get a new PC *twinkle eyes* Until then I will finish high school, and you will see me back to helping the good ole' site! PS. I will hold onto the channel for when it happens. I will PM the password if you want it(I might lose it)

Tip it youtube channel
It would be nice for people who like videos. I am 100% certain there are people out there who are capable of superb recordings, and would do different quests or minigames etc. I could try to make an example video I guess. I have a crummy computer for recording, but for editing, I have a really good mac. If this seems like a good idea, we should discuss how to setup the whole deal, like video formats, resolution size, game quality etc. The example rules were just that, and example.

Tip it youtube channel
Alright, I have formatted the channel to look similar to the tip it site. Check it out here. this is not saying it is happening. I just made it as a gesture. I will delete it if this idea is 100% rejected by top crew leaders.(you would have to tell me if you are a top crew leader)

Tip it youtube channel
I have always wondered what we could do to take the tip it site to a whole new level. We have fallen behind other help sites in website looks. We have few pictures and small ones at that. I don't care myself, but it detracts from some people's idea of our site. I looked around to see if anyone has suggested an official youtube channel for tip it. I thought about how we could do this, and came up with a plan First I made the channel to reserve the name. Sadly tipit and runetips and many forms of that were taken. So I named it, OfficialRunetips Next I was able to think about how we could go from community to a consistent theme. So I thought, there are a few things we could do. 1.Have an offical video editor. Someone who will take the raw footage, and make it look pretty using the same theme all the time. 2.have people send in videos of quests, minigames, etc following the same format with certain guidelines. 3.give all top crew members access to the youtube channel address 4.add a video link section to the mainpage linking to the channel 5.add links to specific videos from different on site text and picture guides. 6.If a crew member is ever jeopardized or booted from leadership for violation, change the password. I realize that having the videos on this site would be to much strain, but using youtube is a great way to solve the video issue. I myself have some basic video editing skills, but I would say giving that to a pro crew member would be better. If we go through with this I would like to suggest a format for video submission. 1.video must be recorded on a screen recorder, not using a camcorder or camera 2.video must be clear and not be choppy 3.video must not be pre-edited 4.Video should not be narrated 6.Videos should be in high detail mode(on runescape), Specifics don't matter, just as long as it is basic high detail mode. suggested: For the PC you can use the classic hypercam. Now you can get it so that the hypercam 2 doesn't show up by using the browser based version for firefox as an addon. Then people can upload the raw footage to youtube in parts or another media hosting site or be sent to the editor. Another solution is to have a film team that will collaborate to work on making videos, this could make a better process. Downloads: Firefox web browser Hypercam screen recorder So that is it! I really put a lot of thought into it and really want this to work. I will relinquish the password and account into admin hands if they like the idea. I am willing to do anything regarding this for the tip it team.(I couldn't find the hypercam addon for fiefox, but I still have it myself. It may come in the download.

The tip it team is the best
After a considerable time of inactivity, I wanted to check back into runescape. Being so busy with other things I forgot my password. Sadly the email account I had was banned and I could not retrieve it or my tip it password. Emailing from my new account I was sure they would think it wasn't me. Surely enough I got my password reset and even better set to my new email. I would like to thank the tip it team for being so freaking amazing. Also for using the content I have uploaded to make the site more updated. thank you for being so gracious! This is truly the best runescape site there is beside runescape itself. thank you so much.

Skill capes. Which ones do you find most impressive.
I have been pondering as my skill levels begin to approach higher levels. When I get a skill cape, which one will be first? Even better is that I wanted to impress others. So I thought which one should I get first? I have my own ideas. What skill capes if you see untrimmed, impress you the most? for me: 1.slayer 2.runecrafting 3.herblore 4.construction 5.Hit points But then again. I am no expert. What do you guys find most impressive in order of course.

runescape super quest. Discuss.
Well of course the super quest will have good rewards. It will be the super quest after all.

runescape super quest. Discuss.
I would like to see that when you are done. Sounds great. I am more concerned about plot rather than skills. But I could say I do agree that runescape staff will likely make pure strength players or other specialized players not work out as well. But then again, what do i know. Thanks for the heads up about that other plot line. I had no idea. I will study it. Anyone else have any sort of predictions?

runescape super quest. Discuss.
Now, I do not have the all mighty quest cape, so I do not know every quest. But I have done many, and am familiar with many. I just finished red raktuber, and I think I see where the super quest might be going. If you think otherwise I encourage chatting. It does seem that the sea slug and penguin coup are going to lead into a big quest. But if it is bigger than recipe for disaster what could it include. What other things might come from connections. Perhaps the ape atoll might be involved since the penguin and monkey cages are next to eachother in the ardy zoo. Does anyone have any really strong ideas?

5 biggest problems in Runescape today.
1. How the GE ruined cooking and herblore. (also the fact that the first person to get a new item can set the price) 2. The fact that after you get to level 80+ in most non-combat skills the only drive to keep going is a skill cape or the fact that it makes you money. 3. bots and merch clan scams ruining item prices 4. people who complain too much and get too serious about runescape and ignore everyone 5. I don't see any mods these days.(even player mods)

hunter, lizards&salamanders price question
I noticed that the price on swamp lizards is like 8 times more than the salamanders, when the lizards are the first of their kind to catch. Any reasons? My only guess is that people that level just don't like the xp given and see that there are better ways to get money in hunter.

Tip.it Times: 9 August 2009
Nice stories. the first one was fun. I remember the glitch in duel arena where one person would watch a match on the railing leaning over and be challenged like that, and if they won, they stayed in that position. The player would hover around bent over, and combat with a 2 hand sowrd looked really funny since only the sword moved back and forth. Another minor one was if someone followed you you could trick the game into making them start walking away from you. As for the second article I agree. Herblore died. It isn't an easy skill either. I really despise the GE. Whenever I needed a quick tool like a hammer or bucket and I was out, I could ask and someone had it. Now people don't do that, they just stock up at the GE. I still keep several items at hand if needed. Prices are mad. I don't even cook fish anymore. I remember being f2p karjama fishing cooking on island, banking in faldor and repeating. This was because cooked lobsters were nearly double the price of raw! Now cooking is 100% pointless. Waste of time. Skill capes and GE combo was like a disaster. Also willow logs are worth less than oak and normal. Funny, people just find the quickest xp for the cape driving the prices into the dirt.
