  1. If you consider it a movement, it's called new atheism. It's the idea that we should no longer tolerate religious intolerance, and their constant unjustified meddling with society. It's the idea that religious beliefs should be scrutinized, criticized, and exposed for 'what they are' wherever it has influence. I consider myself a new atheist. Here's the link for it.
  2. If it's exclusively available for the rich, then it's unfair. If it's going to be taxing on resources, then it'll pose a lot of issues. If it allows a longer lifespan without the health and fitness of youth, then it'll be a little fruitless. I foresee many issues with this...
  3. ... this thread isn't really worth commenting on unless you answer these questions, OP: How do you propose to stop/slow death? I'm not entirely sure what it entails, precisely. If we're saying 'we shall make a wonderpill that reverses your physical age to 'x' years back', that's rather different than saying 'we shall continue to age forever and fail to die even if we were stabbed/shot/whatever from taking a wonderpill.' Is it going to be universal, and how would it be funded? If it's not universal, how is it distributed? Can they change their minds? Is it exploitable? - e.g. could it be used against someone's will, like poison? Is it worthwhile?

  5. Banned for creating a sockpuppet.
  6. It might be useful if you could share some rather specific threads for commenting.
  7. 6ft7? Are you sure about that? EDIT - a good rule of thumb on determining a healthy body-weight: if you look down and can't see what's beneath, then you've got a problem. If you look in the mirror and see ribs, then you're probably underweight.
  8. If you have access to credit, it shouldn't be a bad idea to get a decent set of speakers. Or headphones even.
  9. ... I seem to have a strange relationship with imgur. It's so easy to relate to.
  10. Banned for living in the land of purdy chicks.

Have you tried it in all its forms to offer judgement?
  12. I hate the term 'homophobia' - it implies fear of homosexuality. In most contexts, it's not fear at all - rather, it's simply intolerance of someone's sexual orientation, because it wasn't the way society deems to be the social norm. I also hate how people accuse me of racism when I openly express how I dislike someone of another race. I don't hate them because they're of another race, I hate them because they act like a child and they should really know better. ... I also hate human emotions, or at least - the negative ones involving dwelling and worry. It hurts :/
  13. Banned for enjoying it ;D

  17. It gets even more complicated when the said person writes to you in third person. It's like a cryptic clue within a cryptic clue :/

  20. I can relate, mainly due to this:
  21. You're still violating rule 1.3 with hostility, regardless of the reason as to why. As for the content of my posts, of course it differentiates agnosticism from atheism - they're two schools of thought, so what's the disagreement? I'm just arguing that they're not mutually exclusive concepts, so it's your responsibility to present a counterargument if you're arguing that they are. Thus far, you've failed to do that - you've presented no argument at all.
  22. The specific part you want to highlight with specific wording to illustrate your point. It's going to be pointless to refer to previous posts if you're going to be too lazy to even quote it. Here's a clearer illustration of what I define those terms to be:
  23. Quote 'em.
