lonellama, lmao, at least you'll get girls then. Austen writes a hell of a lot better (no duh) and i like her a lot more, but idk i still like how twilight's written. I guess maaaybe it might not be written that well, not compared to some other authors. anyways. Butttt, it's just really addictive and i wanted to keep reading. Like it kept my interest the whole time and it was easy to read. So, it's more like a fun read so to speak. Movie's put me off Edward though. Seriously, he's way weirder in that. I think I'm more of a subtle fan now. :l

Which begs the question, have you read any other literature period? Some of her favourite novels are classics (by Jane Austen), such as Pride and Prejudice. You don't want to know what I have been through; squealing for 5 hours at how cute Mr Darcy is when he smiles. (She likes the movie too) YES. I have read other literature, nub. -.- & yeah, as Wongtong said, I like Austen and the Bronte sisters lots. AND, Mr. Darcy is hella cute when he smiles. (Old version here, people. Hah, same here. Cathy & Heathcliff. <3 I guess it does portray that, but even though the girls who love it know that it's just a book. Yes, they may seem all totally obsessed and really want an Edward *hangs head* (I've been there) BUT they also know that he IS a fictional character -believe it or not- and i think what they really want is kinda just a guy to his standards. He doesn't have to be strong or hot or overly protective etc, (well you'd hope not) but I think they just like that he's true to Bella and respects her and pays attention and loves her with his whole heart. Idk i think girls just like that about Edward, that, and the looks etc.
