So you think the books are "pretty good," but they still "fail?" *senses a love/hate relationship* Don't point out the hypocrisy of my posts. that's mean. I just really don't like how popular it is. and the stupid little fangirls at my school really make me mad. So you think the books are good, but you don't like them just of the fan girls? That's just pathetic in my view. I don't like the fan girls either, but that's because they're idiots and think the book was the best book ever, when it really isn't good at all. It is a good read, but not a good book. Good read but not a good book? D: Damn i get so confused. I guess that's probably the best I'm going to get from you though. It isn't the best book or series ever, no - But it's just really addictive and (I find) it is a good story, but mind you I've never read any other vampire-related things before so i didn't think it was cliche or anything. And amybob, shuddup. -.- We have our obsessions. Mine's passed a tad, yay. I think I'm moving onto another character.. Fang. >:]

Lmao, Idk why you'd cry because Edward is hot..? o_O Even i can't understand that tbh. And redhaloguy, what's wrong with pale :?: Plus, she's interested in him in thee first place because he shows attention to her, not that the other guys don't, but not like obsessive interest in the beginning, more hating. And then yeah, she falls for him. Yay for SilverSword! =D>

You told her. Wongtong=Becky + Wong= Becky Wong? I know too much now :-# Wtf  Sorry. XD Not a bad guesser though. Her name's actually Beckynub. Or WongtongNub. Lmfao, idk. WTF  How did it get from Twilight to discussing who you think I am irl? (Pft it's not even true, who is this Becky? -_-) And shuddup Dreamtongirl, let's take this fight to the sidelines (PM) before you try to throw air at me again. I found a goosebump card in my desk the other day, depicting what a true vampire is like. Man, I swear this board has made me go from Liking Twilight > Hesitant on Twilight > Hate Twilight > Want to burn all copies of book. Ahahaha. Sorry Wongtong. But dude, you shuddup about my.. Erm.. Air throwing. It's ACTUALLY just threatening, thank you. But you kinda gotta stop before you hit the other person's face or it's not like, air throwing. Not that it ever stops you, nub. -.- Mm I'm not too much of an obsessed fan girl any more. I still like it, yes. But i've found better series. >:]
  5. Meh, i don't like Kanye. Just started listening to another band, though. I quite like them. 'We The Kings'? They're pretty cool.

XD Chyeaaah. Not too un-realistic. Okay.. Very, actually. I'm thinking some boys over here should read it, :P Palmy boys suck in my opinion. (Kidding, if you're thinking pointing out how sad i'm being) "I'm considered fairly smart, yet if I walked into a university lecture, you think I would be able to contend? No, I'm only 15. That is basically what I would compare this book to. It might look good compared to "first pieces of work" but when you compare it to serious books, which this is supposed to be if I understand correctly, then it is mediocre." It is pretty good compared to some, yes. There are many other series or books that will completely own Twilight, i understand that, but i still like it. : Huh, i haven't read Harry Potter, so i can't comment.
  10. Oooo - isn't that the name of the character in Kingdom Hearts? It's a nice name regardless. o.O Uh huh, that's her. Yeah, i like it. But a bit odd to name your kid from a character in a video game?
  11. He tore his eyes away from the mound of bark below him, and glanced sideways at his life. The girl he valued most swung silently back and forth on the rusty, damp swing, completely focused on the fire-lit evening sky. He watched her intensely as she lowered her head, dark, free hair falling loosely around her heart shaped face, concealing the mysterious hard eyes which he was so often fascinated by. This couldn't go on forever. He knew he had to end the silent suffering of unspoken love. Determination in his mind, fighting against the feelings in his heart. Unsure of what he was yet to say, his mouth opened to speak, to just utter a simple word, only to find that nothing would come. It was as though all words, all memory of their meanings, had been erased right there and then. She then stood up, their eyes locking together for a split second. Automatically he lowered his head, unable to meet her gaze. She breathed in a lung full of air and let out a long sigh. "I have to go." Was all she mumbled. Frantically, this mind started screaming at him repeatedly. 'No! Not yet! Tell her to stay!' Again, the words refused to make it from his head to his mouth. Eyes still on the ground, he heard a shuffling noise as she took a few small steps closer. "You'll take care, won't you." She stated, not bothering to ask the question, knowing he wouldn't answer what she'd want to hear, anyway. He looked up several moments later, only to find her no longer beside him, she was heading slowly through the large, moist field. Heart pounding radically he once again opened his mouth to say something. The only word he could manage to utter was her name. She spun around automatically, his eyes on her as he closed the distance between then in several long strides, stopping in front of her about a foot away. She dug her hands deep into her back pockets, taking a deep breath, waiting for him to speak. He sighed loudly and tilted his head upwards, watching the pink clouds fade to a dull grey. She switched her full weight from her left leg to right, still silent. Sensing this movement he turned his eyes back to hers. They never ceased to amaze him. "I.." He creaked, clearing his throat. "I'm sorry.." She lowered her gaze, and at the same time stepping closer, he reached for her hands and cradled her gently against his chest. When she raised her head, he saw that the rims of her eyes were now stained black, new tears trickling down her face. Removing a hand from hers he gently wiped away the grey tears and pressed his lips softly to her forehead. This time when he opened his mouth to speak, the words no longer came out as apologies, or ones with no significance, but what he had wanted to say the whole time - the truth. The words came out as "I love you.."

Wowww, the first comment by you i didn't end up scowling at. : Mm, those are just some reasons, i think i'd have to read it again to pick out more. I agree, it could be improved, buttt, you know SM had never written anything before that, so i think it was darn good for a first piece of work, don't you? Ah, sometimes you can never please critical people.
  13. Boy: Alex (Maybe.) Girl: Kairi? : Naaah, Max, Sam? Not too sure.
  14. I like that one, too. (: Good work Beckehnub.

 Nice attempt. Maybe you don't appreciate it that much because you're a guy i guess? I don't really expect guys to like it, "wimpy" or not. Okay that didn't really make sense I'm afraid. Sorta get a bit of it, though? You're not really supposed to relate to Bella i guess, seeings you're a boy and all. Well, Bella is unique, but she also relates to a lot of teenage girls - Which is good, because they can understand her and relate to what she's doing/thinking/going through and whatnot. I admit when i first heard about it, it sounded absolutely gay and overrated to me. So i read it, (cos' there was no point judging if i hadn't) And i really really liked it. I could see what the hype was all about after i had, but it didn't appeal to me a few months after. Don't get me wrong, i still like it and think it's definitely worth reading (or defending, in my case XP) but maybe it's been made a tad bigger that it should have been. Idk, i wanna see the movie and all, and i'll prolly stay a fan, but it was nice when the hype was sorta quieter. If you get me. Which you probably don't, so nvm.

I don't know. I considered the entire thing to be very predictable. Sure, it did twist, but it's not like you didn't see it coming. In my opinion, Edward and Bella are just too [bleep] predictable to be really 'dove into', they're just hollow characters that don't really connect with the reader. As for suspense...well, at the beginning, the development of suspense was as interesting as a romance gets. But by the end of the first book, I could easily predict what the [bleep] the characters would do with each other every time they met: snog snog snog snog snog... I guess it's a fine read. I mean, it was interesting enough for the first few chapters or so. I was actually interested in what Bella could evolved into, less so Edward, but Bella had potential. Twilight just failed to developed Bella appropriately. If anything, she really de-matured and became more alien across the course of the novel. I mean, thinking that you love two people (Edward and, if I understand, Josh, who forced Bella to kiss her - twice), both of them being relatively arbitrary and spontaneous, does not character-sense make. (Baaaaaaaad sense of English, there). Twilight...in summation, was a decent enough book. It's something I might read once and go, 'hey, that wasn't too bad. At least it ate some time.' But, in all honesty, the book has been far too hyped up. It wasn't a great novel, it was a decent one that barely scraped by, but it certainly wasn't worthy of a Hollywook reproduction. You know how people say sometimes cheesy things are usually true or mean the most? Well, sometimes predictable things can be like that, also. And it wasn't that predictable at all. A tad, maybe, but not too much to make you bored throughout the whole thing. Ugh, fail. They DO connect with the reader. Bella, at least. She's a lot like an average, shy, clumsy girl - and I'm sure many can relate to that. Btw, dude, it IS a love story remember. Of course there's bound to be romantic stuff and "snog snog snog snog snog..." In it. "I mean, thinking that you love two people (Edward and, if I understand, Josh, who forced Bella to kiss her - twice), both of them being relatively arbitrary and spontaneous, does not character-sense make. (Baaaaaaaad sense of English, there)." It's Jacob, genius. And that doesn't happen until Eclipse. She only ever loved Edward in Twilight. Again, I'm sure lots of girls or guys, for that matter, could relate to finding they love two people. "At least it ate some time.' But, in all honesty, the book has been far too hyped up. It wasn't a great novel, it was a decent one that barely scraped by, but it certainly wasn't worthy of a Hollywook reproduction." Maybe it was hyped up mainly by girls, which it is, because of it being a LOVE STORY and more of a girl's book. You should know that before you read it. Not saying that boys can't read it and like it, but if you're a "Grrrr cars, girls, sport" kinda guy, then it's useless reading it. I haven't seen it yet, so i can't really judge the movie yet. I'm sure it won't be as good as the books, not many movies are, but it'll be worth seeing i think. Have you seen "Thunderbirds"? THAT wasn't worth a Hollywood reproduction.

Not all books make you want to keep reading at all, i've read some teen fiction that bored the heck out of me or actually had a very pathetic plot that made me not want to keep reading it at all. Twilight did the whole way through, however. Okay, you want reasons? Here are some. I like the way Bella and Edward interact at the beginning, especially when she despises him at the very start. I like how Stephenie Meyer describes things, even if people do seem to think she's abusing the thesaurus. I like the way i can relate to Bella in some ways of how she acts and thinks. And i like the way Edward and her become almost inseparable. "That is the way an argument/debate/essay works. You say what you think, then you back that up." Geez, like I'm back at school.

Okay, i'm not really arguing with you NOM and Aquarius, because it's getting nowhere. BOTH of our arguments that is. Again, there is a plot and three very good main characters, it's just that you don't think so. I liked the plot cos' it was twisted at the end, lots of suspense, and it made you want to keep reading. Not all books can do that. And no freaking duh, of course if you like something you'll defend it. Not rocket science.
  19. It's a guy. Duh. More exposition is required to explain why this girl is so mentally unstable as to jump off a cliff over some guy she had a fling with. Thanks for the comments, guys. Any advice? Asides from making it happier? And Nom, It wasn't a fling, it was a relationship. Very big difference. Hence why she was so "mentally unstable" which lead her to jumping off the cliff.

Lol, oh give it up. If i didn't know any better, i'd almost think it was as if you were jealous of Edward Cullen. A fictional Vampire. :
