Considering that 3 months via credit card (for me at least) is $5.00. The Runescape cards are like $7.00+ per month. I thought that the cards were more expensive so that the retailer can make money off of them. Well, a 3 month card at Wal-Mart is like $22.00 if I am not mistaken. So there is like a $7.00 difference. If $3.00 of that $7.00 goes to the store, JaGeX is still making more than they would with a credit card.

There seems to be something like that for the Darkrai event, I don't see why there wouldn't be for Shaymin as well. That said, there's also a chance that they didn't bother because you can't normally get there until the postgame anyway. Try it and tell us how it works :thumbup: Well... I have gotten Shaymin before with the Oak's Letter by No-Clipping over to the area where you catch him. (after beating the Elite Four) When I try No-Clipping over there without having beaten the Elite Four, Oak doesn't show up, and the event does not activate.

You do, if only because that section of Victory Road and the following routes are only accessible after. Do you think that there would be something in the game code that would prevent me from accessing the event before I beat the Elite Four?

Anybody know if you have to beat the Elite Four before you can use Oak's Letter in Platinum?

Inferno adze* Yes there is. The Hand Cannon is practically impractical to use unless you have 99 Firemaking.
