  1. Merchanting is still possible, in a sense. It would be better to call it "investing". You simply purchase a rare item, which is your investment. Wait for it to go up, if it goes up, you make a profit on your investment, if it goes down, you lose on your investment. Though the principal of buying low and selling high still goes, no longer do you set the price you buy and sell, you instead must wait for Jagex to rise the price higher or lower to suit your needs.
  2. Silverlight against demons on F2P.
  3. It's quite humourous to see such a suggestion. If Jagex were to actually implement this... You are right, GodSwords should become more powerful but not to such an extent as this. People could probably solo the Corperal Beast with ease, given these abilities.
  4. You can, but if you take the cape off, you can't re-equip it. Also, you don't get the temporary level bonus or any stat bonuses from it. The problem with this idea of likening the capes to the Canifis lies with the Quest Cape. Whenever a new quest comes out, the cape isn't wearable. If you are now F2P, you can no longer do the next quest, thus, you can never wear the cape until you become a member again and do that and any other later quests.
  5. At the moment, my defence is 49, with the rest of my stats listed below. What would be the easiest way for me to get to 60 defence (I am a free player).
  6. Oh, sorry. Well, you can still employ the same strategies, but using different foods. It actually reduces the burn levels for everything for you have access to the cooking gauntlets. You can still use the same foods as listed, though, you have access to a wider spectrum and will be able to probably turn in a better profit.
  7. If you are F2P, not really, until you get to level 75. From 64 to 75, buy, cook and sell trout, pike or salmon, depending on which sells well and what returns a profit, not a tidy one, if at all, mind you. Once you reach 75, you can cook lobsters without burning them. I believe that they should return a profit, though, prices will fluctuate so check the Grand Exchange Database on the RuneScape website frequently. It will also show trends which can help you plan ahead. I believe it is somewhere between 80 and 90 before you stop burning swordfish.
  8. F2P shouldn't get skill capes. Firstly, Jagex would have to work out where to put the new skill masters, which would confuse many. Secondly, there would be a huge uproar amongst those who believe that F2P shouldn't even exist. Would it be worthwhile? While Jagex is working out where to put the vendors and dealing with the uproar, they could be making new quests, implementing a new minigame, designing new items etc. As many have said before, there are far too few F2P people who have a skill at level 99. The skill cape suggestion would only entertain a few while causing problems on a wider spectrum. Macros have been eliminated not directly because of the updates, there was no update which stopped macros, but because the updates removed any use for macros. By making skill capes something available for free users, then, it would encourage a few to use macros again. Also, Jagex is a company. If too many things are made F2P, then, no one will pay for a subscription. Some may argue that this is only one little thing, but first it is skill capes, then, there will be a suggestion for something else and so on and so on, with each idea easier to push because it would be backed by the previous idea until F2P and P2P have merged into one.
