  1. SC is a good choice if he already has some SC points, and even if he doesn't, 20 mins (If done properly) is faster than building with 1700ish planks instead of about 850.
  2. I'd cook trouts, for the sake of cost, the levels still won't take long. I suggest Rogue's Den though, it heavily decreases bank time.
  3. I can't firemake efficently right now, I have an overfull bank, no money, and most spots are too crowded to cut and burn... Ty though, I'll look into that.
  4. Cooking Gauntlets don't work in F2P, but my cooking is more than high enough to cook the highest possible F2P fish without burns. Thanks by the way.
  5. Ok, I just lost my membership, and mailed more money (Should be there within 3 business days). I'm cooking sharks for the last stretch, but my question is: Should I continue cooking fish as F2P, or try to earn money to increase the number of sharks I can buy? My cash pile is almost non-existent, all my money is in cooked sharks :(. All help is appreciated!

Yeah, a little more than that if you really focus.
  7. I'm taking a short break from my 99 Cooking goal, and I want to raise my agility (currently 38). What's the most efficient way to reach 50?
  8. Cheapest: Limestone Bricks (Incredibly slow, even with SC hammers, but it is the cheapest) 2nd Cheapest: SC hammers, cut own planks (you could use a butler, with house at Rimmington[cutting own logs, although not recommended], or balloon, etc.) Fastest (excluding marble and etc.): Mahogany planks w/ SC Hammers Balanced: SC Hammers, Oak larders/Oak dining table flatpacks, until you can build dungeon doors.
  9. yeah I meant reset to 0 :^o I've been wondering this as well... :)
  10. Really? i calculated and 70-99 was gonna be a PROFIT, buying raw sharks, cooking then selling will net me 1-2M according to my calculations, and i think their pretty accurate. However the prices may change if im a really unlucky noob  @ Mike_Ike111 Ok, i guess im just wierd  Bottom line on your cost issue, you have to pay attention to price changes, unless you have enough money to throw around. Prices (at least most) are not set in stone, and as of late raw + cooked have seen a lot of fluctuation. If you're desperate to continue training cooking without the gold hassle, cook trouts. :?
  11. Really? I didn't know that. :o I used to get like 5 in an hour while cutting oaks for cutting into planks (no rabbit's foot). :wall:
  12. [There's skills much worse than Runecrafting, it's just one of the slowest in exp.] Anyway, F2P, If you're going purely for speed, I suggest getting a decent amount of points in F.O.G., enough for 1-2 pairs earthcrafting gloves (you can only have 1 at time, though) , and craft earth rune sets until they crumble. (You'll lose a small amount of money, but nothing terrible) If you want to save money, however, just craft air runes (You may want aircrafting gloves). --------------- I don't know much about P2P methods, but I'm sure there's better methods out there for members.
  13. Answering your question, goblins seem to drop Clue Scrolls quite often (lvl 1, from lvl 2 goblins), or maybe it's just the fact that you can kill hundreds easily.
  14. Using your signature numbers, (Assuming you have no burns) It would take 31,546 swordies to 90. Doing anywhere from 1-2k a day, that could take anywhere between 15 days and a month. It completely depends on how fast you want to level.
  15. People seem to gather around varrock castle to kill guards for CS's, I get several a day from them. I doubt it's the best method, though.
  16. I started cooking at 60, with about 1.4m, and I've made it to 88 still holding 900k. You should have no problems--the monks are up to you, but I would use swordies until 94 (simply personal preference)
  17. 25,443 x 8 = 203,544 203,544 x 417 = 84,877,848 (Amount of GP needed withouthammers) 84,877,848 / 42,438,924. (Amount of GP needed WITH hammers) I think that is correct, but, how many SC hammers will I need..? 84,877,848 / 50,000? Take the total needed: 13,034,431 Subtract current from it: 821,793 Divide exp by 50,000 (in assumption that the number is right) ------- It would take 244.25276 hammers, rounded to 245.
  18. Just keep an eye on the prices of the raws vs. cooked, they've been fluctuating a lot lately. :D [example]
  19. Without gloves, swordies stop burning at 86. With gloves, they stop at 81. You can see this and other info in the Cooking Guide. (On this site)
  20. You must have done something different--I've completed All Fired Up and played the 'minigame', without Defender of Varrock. The only quest needed is Priest and Peril, check the Tip.it quest guide and see what you did differently.
  21. I misread, you said 57, not 51... Take off a couple 100ks and you'll have the figures though.
  22. No, it's closer to 263k. (2 gold leafs for 260k, 3 teaks, and 6 soft clay)
  23. It's construction, there is no "cheap" way lol. (Limestone bricks are ridiculous, I won't mention those) I suggest making oak larders, though. But from 51-75 (assuming you are exactly 51), it will take 18,308 oak planks, if you use the oak larder or etc. way. Buying at market (although I cut my own) for the current price of 431 [although it may cost higher], it would cost 7,890,746 gp. I do highly suggest SC hammers, it will only take half as many planks (or half the money, depends on how you want to look at it). Also, you only need 72 for a gilded altar, as long as you have "gold trim" teak shelves. This gives you a boost of +3 when you drink tea made from it's tea set. It's a tiny bit pricey, but I'm almost certain it's less than actually getting 75, plus it's much faster. Happy building, good luck!
  24. Only cut your planks if it's the fastest way you can make money (which is about 350k/hr with balloons, mind you.) If you make more money at runecrafting or what have you, do that. I'd just like to throw out Green Dragons and Aviansies as good, consistent, combat-based money making methods. You can make 400k at greens starting at relatively low levels, and it only goes up (I make 600-650k). ----------------- It's been a while since this has been posted on, but I would like to add that I meant to cut planks as a way to cut the cost of leveling, not to make money. So: 50m needed (using the post as reference) Planks cost about 450gp each in G.E., 250gp when cutting (use servant) So, the same amount of planks only costs 27,777,778gp (roughly, and not including servant costs) Using a Clay hammer doubles the exp, so using these throughout (or as much as possible) means you will only have to use half the number of planks, essentially cutting the price by 1/2 more. So, instead of costing 27,777,778gp, it would cost 13,888,889gp instead of 50m to reach 99. (assuming your number was correct)
  25. How long did it take you without the items?
