I have a very high understanding of opportunity cost, I am halfway done with my MBA, but you CANNOT think of opportunity cost or efficiency and only consider that in the bubble of RS. So it may be the most efficient thing to do WHILE you are in the game, but that is incorrect, because you are mising half of the equation, which is RL. The most efficient thing would be something that happens in the game even when I am not playing it. You have to consider your non RS time in the equation, which most people dont. If I am Afking, I am accomplishing something in RS AND in RL, that is true efficiency, not just maximizing one half of the equation. Most are failing to factoring in the RL efficiency. If I am 100% dedicated to RS, I might be efficiently accomplishing a RS task, but I am 0% efficient at some RL task, that does have an actual opportunity cost, not a ficticious RS opportunity cost.

Actually I am an adult, nice try, and if it is about opportunity cost, then nobody should ever play RS because instead of spending your time playing a game that puts ZERO $$$ in your pocket you would be better of working at McDonalds for $5 an hour, since that is more efficient then playing RS. We play RS for fun, not for efficiency. So unless you are playing RS to get gold to RWT which is illegal, then playing the game of RS is not efficient in life, and has a terrible opportunity cost, since it takes up time and makes ZERO profit.

I am not "dead set" on making them, but I also think that this board is overrun by these efficiency experts that think the only thing that matters is profit per hour, and all you should do is that and use that money on something else, how boring would this game be if all you did was that? I like to be mostly self sufficient, if I need dragon bones, I go kill dragons, if I want range I go range fire giants. I like to do things that logically make sense. If I need to up firemaking, I go chop trees and burn the logs. This game isnt about maximizing efficiency and showing off arbitrary achievements like 99FMing or 99 flecth... It is about having fun...and half of the answers I get on this board go off topic and lead to go kill frosts.....

but how much effort is required? cutting yews is click intensive, I dont see this as being so. But that is really low either way, It must be really slow to smith them. I dont get why they are so slow, with a tort, I can make 180 cballs per trip, so I only need like 30 trips for 5K cballs, do cballs smith slower then gold ore?

Exactly, anything that is AFK able or something like farming, where I can plant my herbs, go accomplish something in RL, and come back in 90 minutes, and have be herbs already grown or MTK, those are the best profit, cause it is efficent in RL, which is what is important.

nice try, I am the last person to ever think of botting, I am not some kid who wants to show off some arbitrary RS achievement to his little high school friends.... I didnt even ever use a cannon before last night because I think it is almost cheating, to have something other then my character killing things for me. and AFKing is the highest profit in the game, because in terms of real life, not just the RS world, I can do something in RL, while sacrificing minimal time in RS for any profit, therefore Any profit divided by little to no time in RS = infinite profit..... But of course the super uber efficiency gods of RS who nolife and camp frosts, or whatever is the hot moneymaker will disagree, of course.

yes it would be the very definition of saving money, it is cost $1M to buy X amount of Cballs vs $200K to buy the steel bars, then I would be saving 800K. That is very basic math, this isnt super uber efficiency class, where you only do your maximum profit per hour skill/activity and buy everything else with that money.

and if it is afkable who cares who much money is is per hour, in profit or savings, it wont matter, I will be busy watching a movie or doing something else, while this happens. It isnt all about RS efficiency, if I can do something in RS while doing something else in RL, that is real efficiency. Like farming, that is really efficient cause while I can do 2 farm runs in about 100 minutes, I can also spend the other 90 minutes doing something in RL.

I am not doing it to make money, I would be doing it to save money, and I dont have 85 dging and even if I did frosts are overrun by bots anyway.

Is it 1 bar for 4 cannonballs, or does the mould just look like that? Is this profitable? but more importantly, how long would it take to make let's say 5K cannonballs? I know it would be slow exp wise but how slow timewise is it? I dont mind the slow exp, cause I would be making them to save money instead of buying them, I am not concerned with smith exp, can I afk making them? my friend just shows me how to use it one a Spectre task, it is super fast, but dam you go through cballs like nothing.... It seems expensive that task was like 2000 cball, so like 500K cash

I want to use it for slayer to get range exp and faster tasks. I heard spectres are good for cannoning and black demons. Is a cannon really that good? Or that much better then just melee or range with rune darts?

What pouches should I make? My goal is eventually 96 summon for yak, but I know that will take a while, and I plan on slaying for charms and using effigies. I have about 800 gold charms, 600 crim, 700 green and 55 blue charms right now, should I wait til I get more charms or train incrementally? What should I make at my level? I have like 600 bunyips, and like 800 unicorns, which I have never used.

does that milestone do anything for me? Does it help unlock a weapon or boss that I should now be able to kill for cash/charms?

it sounds like you already know the answer, but dont like it. Keep soloing til you are like lvevl 65, C1 up until your last 5 highest floors
