I used to merch before free trade, but once free trade came I lost like $20M cause prices plumetted, so I stopped merching. I am not sure the same rules apply to merching now as they did before, so until I get a better understanding of this new economy, I dont want to risk it. I used to merch whips, I would buy when they hit $3.0M and sell at $3.3M and I would buy runes at 10 below med and then sell at 10 above med. It worked like a charm almost all of the time, but then again once free trade came along, the prices just plumetted. Every day I would buy and sell 50K nats, bloods, and deaths. I dont mind merching, but I want to make sure there is almost no risk involved, which seems like that is impossible now.

I am not sure if this makes a difference or not, but dragon bone prices seem to be crashing. They are down to 5.7K each.

so blake, you think summoning would be the best bet? my logic was that yes prayer would save me more money, but summon will get me a yak faster, which with a yak I can make more money in slayer cause I wont need to bank as much, I could kill higher level bosses, and it would make other skills like hunter faster, cause I can bank an extra 12 swamp lizards each trip. So I am really torn now between prayer and summon. To get prayer, I need about 1K more dragon bones, which is only like 5.8M, which isnt that much, and that would get me to 83 prayer, plus the extra 120K in lamps, assuming I use the 80+ exp lamp also on prayer, but that still leave me at only 83 prayer, but it also brings me that much closer to 95. It almost seems like a chicken and the egg debate. If I get prayer faster I save money, if I get summon faster I can make more money faster to spend on prayer.....

what is the point of spending it on RCing, who cares if it is slow exp, if it isnt a good money maker at any level, who cares what level I am? I dont think level 84 rcing is holding me back for anything. And I can always just use ZMI, next bonus weekend, I have 52K pure ess banked from slayer and I bought like 30K when pure ess dropped to like 80gp after free trade.

of course I can afford the extra bones, I have $152M in free cash in bank right now, it is just a question of do I want to spend it on prayer.

so far no luck finding anyone with gilded altar. Also how do I do it? I have never done it before, I know I need to have marentills, but no idea how many and I think I can use my Bob to carry extra bones, either way, I only have 1950 drag bones in bank, I dont think that is enough to get me from 79-83

could I keep the lamps in my bank until I get 83 prayer? I would first have to get my construction level up and build a gilded altar. I do not want to bother using someone else's altar.

I have 98 cooking, so I can assist all herlore and cooking effigies.

I just heard about these today. Can I still get them? What should I use them for? I am assuming range, since I am almost maxed melee. Also I assume the wont work for mage since I level mage by superheating with gold guantlets. Thanks

I used up almost all of my charms, so I am only have like 500 charms and out of that only like 30 are blues. My thinking was that yak makes every other skill faster/better, except rcing. Also in terms of RCing, if it isnt good money, then there is no point doing it at all no matter what my level is? Also, I dont have 83 prayer and 4 of the 5 lamps can only be used on a skill of 83 and up.

I can only use them on skills over 80 for one lamp and 83 for the other 4. I dont see the point on using it on Rcing as that is a money maker, why speed up a skill that makes me money. My herblore is already 97, so I am not sure what leveling that will do. and I can use it on prayer anyway as my prayer is only 79.

I am thinking Summoning, because other skills might cost more money, but it is also the effort and time of getting the charms. I have zero interest in bursting rock lobsters, cause that involves luring and magic, both of which I dont care for doing in combat. But I just want to get some thoughts.

I would join you if you find a keyer and 2 other people. I am on around 10-12 pm EST most nights.

Ok so what should I do for now? It almost sounds like I need to be a keyer, but I need to learn a lot before then. How would I find a group that would take me? Also, I dont even know much about a rapier, I just hear it is good, I really just want the farming and herblore scrolls right now to lessen the cost of herby and to increase my farming profits, and eventually I want 95 prayer so I would be doing frost to help me level prayer. In terms of doing DGing to make money, I dont need it, I have $150M in free cash right now. I just want to learn how to do it to be able to be part of a team, make some new friends, like Blake, who is helping me right now. And I can hopefully help them in return, whether that is helping their DGing team, helping with effigies, or duoing high level monsters, that would be a lot of fun too. Thanks

I have upgraded my ring for as many tokens as I have, but I will check again. What is an abandon? How can I find a 4 man team that can afford to take on a noobie and to train while teaching me? I should be a valuable asset once I learn the basics, as most of my skills are pretty high.

A friend has been teaching me the basics of DGing. I have a prom 2H, and I think next time we do DGing I will get the plate. What else do I need to do to dgs and how do I find a team that will help me learn the basics while getting good exp? Thanks
