I've heard that a rabbit's foot slightly increases the chances. Other than that, it's really random. My rl friend cut willows from 54-72 woodcutting and only got two nests with eggs in them.

When I first started playing, I was doing the demon slayer quest and I got to the wizard who asks for 25 bones to trade for the silverlight key. Well, I only bought 21 bones for whatever reason, but I had runes with me and I decided to try to attack a level 7 wizard for some more. I lagged... ...and said hello to Lumbridge.

I'm a free player and I really dislike the adverts because they cause lots of lag for me - on one occasion I was on the street next to the phoenix gang hideout (I'm level 6) and a mugger killed me because the game froze while a large flash advertisement was loading. Don't get me wrong - most of the adverts are ok and I can just scroll down to avoid looking at them. I've never blocked any of them because it is important to me that the game stays free, but I wish that they would go for less of the laggier ones when making contracts with sponsors. In my honest opinion, I highly doubt that Jagex has any way of knowing whether or not the adverts are blocked (unless of course someone admits to it), which is probably why they say that it's fine if players block the adverts if they have no means of turning off their blocking software. ~AQ

I still think you should feel proud to get it - it was hard work and it payed off with a skill cape. Who cares if many other people in Runescape already have one; it is a 99 stat and it has the same value as any other 99 stat. It shows that you put forth the effort to set a goal and work for it. Also, with 99 strength you are stronger in combat and can make money faster with boss trips and slayer, so other 99 skills that are buyable also become faster for you. Congrats on 99 strength by the way! =) ~AQ
