Where to train with Guthan with my stats
hobonumber1 replied to hobonumber1's topic in Help and Advice
Thanks, I see your point. I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. -
So I got Guthan's, and I'm currently just using it to help me with Slayer when my health gets low. However, given my stats (see below) what is an area where I can use Guthan's as a good way to make money? I was thinking Ankous but I can make way more way faster at Green Drags. Any ideas?

Im gonna bump this for you because although I cannot help you, these are good questions and I'd like to see someone respond cause Im kinda curious too.

Bring an unstrung bow and bowstring along with arrows. Once you go down the ladder, string your bow and you can range him.
-
I agree, do slayer. Use Vannaka as your slayer master.

[urgent] Which Slayer Master is best for me?
hobonumber1 replied to hobonumber1's topic in Help and Advice
thanks for the fast reply man. Can you tell me some of the tasks that you get from her? Do you need to go to bank a lot to get food and stuff or can you tank at the tasks? What kind of monsters are we talking here? -
Hi guys, I have been getting tasks from Vannaka but was wondering if I should move up a slayer master (to chaeldar). Stats are in sig. Urgent replies preferred cause I am slaying right now : Thanks all!

Amulet of Magic ftw?

Lol, alright. Hope you dont lose money on it.

Well, its rising now due to its cooler looks cause of the graphics update and the inflation caused previously by 26king. People are buying for 3m so I think it will probably go up to about 3.2m and then crash back down to low 2m. I don't think anyone should sell a whip though. I got mine for 2m a while ago, and I wouldn't sell it to make a quick 700k profit. There are better ways of making money than selling your whip (unless you have 85+ slayer or are a whip merchant).

Ray, I don't really understand why you are posting here. I know you are trying to help this guy and I think everyone except the OP knows you are right. However, it is obvious that the OP is an egoistic [cabbage] and just wants to hear how great he really is. He's not going to take criticism, and frankly, I dont see the point of helping people who just shoot down other people's advice in a HELP AND ADVICE forum. Its just a waste of time to explain anything to this kid. Sorry mods, I usually stick to topic but I had to get that out of the way after reading this (and the previously locked) thread.

Yep. I live in Canada and we have slightly different rules here re. Debit Cards. Glad that is sorted out. To the OP: If you aren't in States, consider asking your bank for a free Credit Card with the lowest spending limit possible ($500/month probably).
-
I do have a debit card, but I see what you are saying. I think we are both right in this case. For example, heres a pic of my bank's debit card (not mine lol) and as you can see, theres no Visa, Mastercard logo (No not at the back either). So I guess its something thats dependent on the bank that is giving it to you. Edit: I Think i found the source of our disagreement. Here's the quote proving that we are both right [hide=Quote from Wikipedia]Although many debit cards are of the Visa or MasterCard brand, there are many other types of debit cards, each accepted only within a particular country or region, for example Switch (now: Maestro) and Solo in the United Kingdom, Interac in Canada, Carte Bleue in France, Laser in Ireland, "EC electronic cash" (formerly Eurocheque) in Germany and EFTPOS cards in Australia and New Zealand.[/hide]

Just because it has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it doesn't mean its automatically a credit card. I use a debit card from my bank to pay for RS Membs. I has all the same info as a credit card, just different uses. And you can buy something at $105 if you only have $100, but you get charged an over draft if you don't put money in your account before it gets cleared. It works the same as checks, except you don't have to write them out. Can you cite a source or show me a pic of some sort of debit card that says Visa or Mastercard on it, because those 2 are credit card authorizers. A debit card is owned by a bank, wheras a credit card is owned by Visa or Mastercard. Also, regarding overdraft, you are right. However, overdraft is the same thing that I said in other words. If you bought something for $105 when your balance was $100, you would have to pay $5 (and maybe some penalty) for the overdraft. That basically is the same thing as saying you cannot take out more cash than you have in your account. Which is what I said.

If your card has a Visa or Mastercard logo, its a credit card, not a debit. Fundamental Difference between Credit and Debit: Credit: Allows you to buy items regardless of whether you have that money in your bank. You pay a monthly fee on your purchases. Debit: Used in the same form as cash. If you have $100 in your bank and you swipe your debit for a $5 purchase, you now have $95 in your bank. You cannot swipe for a $105 purchase as you dont have that much in your bank (whereas you can with credit). OT: I dont think Jagex allows you to use debit. Atleast when I signed up for membership it didn't. Sign up for a free credit card with your local bank. It will help you build your credit history which will be useful later on.

L/y Jagex. Quickly go and pk some bolters before they figure this out! Edit: I'd give anything for someone to make a youtube video of someone pking these bolters. The bolter's expression would be priceless. One would probably go "wtf" and get pwned, while the other may panic and run for the nearest staircase HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Starting Construction and I need some help
hobonumber1 replied to hobonumber1's topic in Help and Advice
Thanks boss, great help. =D> -
Although I dont know the exact math behind it, it is based on your dominant skill. For example, if I had 60 Atk, Str, Def and 1 Range, raising range to 40 won't affect my cbt at all, as I am melee based. However, having 90 Range with low melee means that going to 91 Range would affect my Combat Level. Like I said, I dont know the exact math but Tipit has a Combat Calculator (Check under Special Calcs). You can use that to test out different permutations and combinations.

Starting Construction and I need some help
hobonumber1 replied to hobonumber1's topic in Help and Advice
Thanks Krazi, that doesnt seem too far off. I should be able to manage that without breaking the bank. 1.5m enough to get me to 50, I assume? -
Well you could powermine granite to 60 - then join Mining Guild and make some money off coal and mith ore. You could even superheat and sell the mith bars, for a bit of mage training. Mith has been going up lately on GE, so you may break even here. For mage exp, I think High Alch is still your best bet - heres a useful calculator to help you break even or minimize your loss. http://www.tip.it/runescape/high_alch.php#results Smithing is almost dead, but for money, you could buy steel bars, make cannonballs out of them and sell the cannonballs back for a profit. Its slow xp but decent money. For runecrafting, your stats are pretty low for profit making. Consider using duelling rings to get up to 44 - then go Nat crafting. I doubt you could do abyss, so your stuck with Karamja for that. -.- Edit: feel free to add me to your friends list if you need someone to show you around members. : (RS Name: Equal_Ibrium)

Starting Construction and I need some help

bump. -
My construction is level 1. I've never really trained it cause it is so expensive :ohnoes: , but I think I am going to start on it. I wont be getting them too high, maybe till 60 or so. So can someone please give me approximate costs to get to 60 construction (Without and With SC Hammers)? also, when does construction become really useful? Is there a certain level (not too high again) that I should DEFINITELY get it up to? Thanks all!

Thanks all, I just bought my whip and its SWEEEET
