I just got on for the first time today with sufficient time to get some Prayer in, and with only an hour before today becomes tomorrow. :P Only waiting on 17k more Big bones in the GE, the rest are in my bank or used up already. I also bought a bunch more House teleports and Marrentill today. I guess the good news is, I never expected this to be a fast process, so if it drags on for some time, it was expected. Plus it's probably better to take my time than to start off too fast, and burn out quickly (or I'm just rationalizing the breaks I've already started taking to play flash games  )

Yesterday was not a good day for me as far as working towards 99 Prayer. I didn't do anything except buy the rest of the Big bones. Unfortunately, today may not be so great either. We'll see. Hopefully I can at least get in a couple hours. On the bright side, I'm only waiting on 57k more Big bones in the Grand Exchange. The rest have bought

Today when I got home, my brother just had to show me another one of his PKing trips. They're usually fairly interesting, but he vids almost literally every single one, so I end up watching a lot of him PKing, along with whatever live commentary he throws in. However, this vid ended much differently than the other ones tend to: :) lol

3 Trips? I've never even gotten in two whole trips before they go out. The best I do is when I come back they're still lit, then they go out about 10 bones later. :-|

Well, today I put the offer in the Grand Exchange for the rest of the Big bones. All 210k are now either bought or in the process of begin bought. Now for the fun part. Using all of these Big bones... I know the numbers don't add up to 210k. I've already done 8.5k Big bones though :P

Well, I'm off for the night. Today was quite a successful day of prayer training. As of now, I'm still feeling pretty good about this going for 99 Prayer thing. I bought over 100k Big bones today (some are still waiting in the Grand Exchange). Of course, I'm realizing now I have only bought enough Tele-tabs and Marrentill for 45k Big bones. Oh well, I've got plenty of time to buy some more before I run out. Thanks for all of the support guys. This blog is definitely helping me to stay focused and on track towards my goal. :^_^: 8461 Done / 145k Bought / 210k Total See you tomorrow!

According to my math: Dragon bones would cost 108m more than big bones. Dragon bones would save me about 150 hours of time (probably a little less). To make up for the 108m extra cost, I would need to make over 700k per hour during the 150 hours I saved. While this is probably possible, it would be difficult. Not to mention, I cannot afford to buy 99 Prayer with Dragon bones at the moment.

I considered buying them all at once, but I think I'm going to keep buying them in large chunks, mostly in case I give up later on :-(

I have decided that using my own house will definitely be worth the extra cost. The amount of time it will save me easily outweighs the cost. Unfortunately... My house is a little lonely. On the bright side... I got a strange rock for construction!

The only two options I really compared were Dragon bones and Big bones, and like you said, big bones were much cheaper. Is it really that much faster to use my own house? I'm assuming this would include teleporting to my house and then teleporting to Edgeville using a glory. 1.3k bones/hour would be 50% faster than the rate I'm currently going at, so if this number is true, it definitely seems worth it. EDIT: Using my own house really is that much faster. The issue is, using all of those house teleports (5k) and marrentils (10k) will add 12m to my costs.

I'm not sure if it will be fun, and it will be closer to 250 hours. So far it actually seems quite tolerable though.

Hm... I'm not sure what the guide used to say, or if it was different than what it says now. I also put marble burners to go with my altar, but more for looks

I have made a discovery. Watching my experience go up while doing this is not the way to keep myself motivated. Rather, watching the number of Big Bones go down is. While the experience is fairly slow, the bones disappear at the same rate, whether they are Dragon or Big Bones.

210k... The number seems quite high to me as well lol.

Thank you. However, I was under the impression that as long as both burners were lit, it did not matter which type of burner was used. According to the Tip.It Prayer guide: "Getting the maximum prayer out of a home altar is dependent on using incense burners. (Mahogany and marble burners give the same bonus as the basic oak incense burner.) "

80 to 99 Prayer requires 210k Big Bones when used on a gilded altar. That comes to about 130m (Med price on GE). Thanks for your support

95 Prayer and 84+ Herblore My Journey to GWD Amazingness (Hopefully) Page 7 for Real-life Video June 4th I made the switch to Dragon Bones for my Prayer training My Question to You: Chaotic Rapier or Chaotic Longsword? About Me: As I've looked at some of the blogs of people who have posted on this blog, I noticed many people begin by introducing themselves, so here goes :P I live in the northeastern United States and my name is Joe. I am 18 years old and I have played RuneScape on and off since late 2002 or early 2003. I don't remember exactly, but I do know I started in 5th grade and it was winter, which would be somewhere in that time period. I also like to play RTS games on the computer and I write text-based Death Match scripts, something those of you who use IRC may be familiar with. I like to play just about any sport with my friends, but football (the United States version, not soccer) and baseball are my favorites. I am a senior in high school this year and will be going to an engineering college (university) next year. I plan to major in mechanical engineering, mostly because I like designing and making things. I will try to continue playing RuneScape in college, but it will really depend on how much free time I have, and whether or not I have something better to do with it (not to say I don't enjoy spending some free time 'Scaping). In case you couldn't tell from my avatar, I love the video-game character Kirby. My favorite book series, and movie series for that matter, is The Lord of the Rings. I like alternative rock and metal (although I'll listen to most music), and my favorite band right now is probably Red Hot Chili Peppers. My favorite color is red. There we go! Pretty much, I'm hoping that if I keep this blog updated I'll be less likely to give up on my goals. I will update the Summary as frequently as I can. Other than that, I will post how my progress is going, and respond to anyone who responds to this :^_^: My Goals: 91 Herblore Why?: The ability to boost using Spicy Stews to 96 Herblore for Overload How?: Making whatever potion happens to be cheapest at the time When?: When I get the money to do it from GWD Current Progress: 85 Herblore. Stealing Creation Scoring
The Stealing Creation Activity Guide currently says: "Combat: 5 points per Life Points damage done." I was playing Stealing Creation when I saw this and thought it seemed rather high, so I checked it out. It is actually .5 points per Life Points damage done. For example: When doing 38 Life Points of damage, I received 19 Points. I observed the same scoring method many times. (I am not sure how to prove this via screenshot) I'm guessing that when the site was updated to go from Hit Points to Life Points, the wording was changed, but the number was not.

Tip.it Times 14 March 2010
Yeah I understand that the number of PMods has increased, and I agree that the article did a good job of portraying the actual role of a PMod in the community. I'm just saying, I've had mostly good experiences when I see PMods in game, although I'm sure there are some out there who aren't doing as good of a job (or too good of a job).

Tormented Demons (Monster Hunting Guides)
Whether it's 28 or 31, it still should be changed to be 280 or 310 (or 301). My point was just that it isn't up to date with the new LifePoint system.
