  1. Yes, suiciding with 4 binds you might be better suited to have cosmics or laws, which is a viable ammo bind that we have as an option recommended to 'keyers'. It does not make sense for newbs, though. A good point about csb is it's very accurate, so it is better for finishing off melee resistant monsters.
  2. Pretty much No. If you are picking spiritbloom you are wasting time.
  3. The reasoning is a) hexers do not have a csb to mage melee resistant monsters, which is especially important on solo paths where you really don't want to call the whole team for a t11 warrior. and b) hexers wear dino armour a lot, which has negative melee accuracy, which affects the baxe far more. It's up to you whether you think baxe is worth it. The bloodrager shouldn't get stuck behind the pillar, you should be calling it and selecting attack the first time you attack thunderous. The exact mechanics are weird, but pretty much you are the one who has to be in the green zone, not the bloodrager.
  4. You have to log in with your original account name. Perhaps you name changed and are trying to login with the display name you changed too.
  5. The map reading & team organization guide, in picture format, due to tif censorship: http://postimage.org/image/2iqbfebus/ @ Litter, tif blacklisted xpw because, imo, they were angry at most people who created/use the forums. Their "reasoning" is that there is a topic on how to use legal hotkeys, which is essentially a more customizable and complex version of mousekeys. The person customizing them has option to make them illegal. (1:1 rule)
  6. This is in all phases and is what he does to clear the rocks. He is more likely to use this attack if you are out of melee range. And yes, it is completely avoidable.
  7. Lexicus is a much better boss with hex, I think he's floor 20-22 or something. Night gazer is very slow, I'd rather sagittare personally. Night gazer is hexable but is still very slow, similar to world gorger kinda. On a 5:5 night gazer is a lot nicer than solo, but I'd still at the very least do floors from 20-22 5x with a hexer.
  8. With a good team, I think doing larges would be better xp/h. With a bad team, who knows In terms of practibility, for smalls you really have to be doing quite a few as a row for it to be worth the organization time, which further increases how hard it is to organize I find larges more fun personally tho
  9. Stick with prom 2h, get better at switching Prom baxe doesn't do well compared to prom 2h - even with turm flashing prom 2h is better against most things. Berserker, blazer. Gatherer is horrible, it reduces your dps a lot and hardly reduces overall damage. Same with tank ring. Even before csb, the only time you should switch to gatherer is like.. solo 5 stats or solo grooves room. And if you have to kill any monsters on gatherer it's wasted.
  10. Which you have 15 minutes to complete and can't do lever or emote rooms in. Timer disappears if everyone goes to the lobby.
  11. @ Litter, Go to w117/148, advertise the floor you want to do Invite the randoms, check that their stats are all lower than yours Enter the floor as normal, then make fun of them and go to lobby Log back in 30 seconds later and you have a solo large to yourself
  12. How do people do that combat technique where you attack a melee monster then run a few steps away and attack in again without it hitting. I tried it and it seems impossible  Or maybe I imagined seeing someone do it  This is a combat technique where you attack, run away, wait for the monster's hp bar to disappear (its like 5 seconds) and then attack again and run. You should never get hit doing this as long as where you run to is a safespot I would only ever recommend this if you're out of supplies somewhere and really don't want to leave (fight caves for example, i used the technique in 2006 to save supplies when i was a low lvl) I've also used this technique a couple times before when I was on a long solo path that's about to de and am out of food/prayer. I also think there was a similar technique for barrows for a while that I used, can't remember the details though. It was patched, though.
  13. Although I do think sag body is a good bind, I really don't think you use it 40%. If I look at my xp gains, yea its about 60/40-45/55 But that doesn't consider that hex is usually like 2x the dps of melee when hexing things - so you probably use it like 20-30% of the time. I don't think the range accuracy is needed on most hexables, the exceptions being skeleton mages, shades, and unragered bosses And I think there's some research being done about those two monsters Increasing melee dps imo is a lot more important than range accuracy However, the defense of sag body is great for running paths - as is plate You can pray range and run around very well I would definitely not say sag body is a useless bind, it's the ideal defense bind for hexers I think, with the added bonus of hexing unragered bosses easier
  14. personally I prefer flesh as a boss I think in a floor with a boss for that floor it's 50% Like f45 is 50% thunder, 10% grave/runebound/trio/necro/flesh f44 is 50% flesh, 12.5% rest this is based off 39 floors from 45-47 which i got thunder 20/39 floors if I get thunderous I'll usually wait to start boss until all rooms are complete, but it's true that sometimes potions need to be made or it's 1 way slow rooms so yea, I do think flesh is better for teams without hex it's probably better to do tf always
  15. gatherer increases resources gathered, artisan reduces resources used by a small amount
  16. when other people die he says "Another kill for the thunderous" which you do not need to run from be aware though that he can say "come closer" very quickly after depending on timing
  17. I wrote this guide a few weeks back on paths and gating. It is already on xpw but now is in picture format so it is linkable here. If anyone hasn't already read it, I highly recommend it. http://postimage.org/image/2iqbfebus/
  18. D'oh, you're absolutely right. Changing it now. Ragers without scrolls are also good to have at Gulega if you're a few scrolls short and not everyone can use them since familiars do double damage. Although unless your DG has been really crappy on blue charms or there has been no time to mine prom/gorg, then there should be no excuse to not be able to make 5 ragers + 2 sets of scrolls relatively quickly in idle time. 1 Rager + scrolls against gulega is way better than 4 ragers w/o scrolls. @ Art and obviously you could average <2 mins for floors if you did c1s. I've dnged with a couple of those guys before and they're very good - but most people don't do abd1 for their larges so obviously games isn't talking about averaging 18 mins for abds. You can definitely average sub 15 abd1. Edit: Although I do think the best players can average under 18 for warps/occ.
  19. as per request + always good for those who havent seen this b4
  20. I've seen some low journels from large occult floors. I don't think you only find the lower ones in certain themes. I think they're just very rare. Yea sorry most of them are, the last ones are random monster drops though.
  21. Spending $ to have your skills raised is against rs and tif rules.
  22. Honestly, I use my effigies on herblore, because it's so expensive. You can collect ingredients for herblore and prayer yourself, summoning and construction are what you should really be using them on.
  23. It might be a little confusing though, figure it out at your own pace :)
  24. It saves more money to run through the abyss to repair the pouches- NPC contact consumes runes. You can even bring essence and do a run to the nature or law altar for more profit while you repair the pouches! Then just home teleport and you're ready to go. Not if you get pked. Just don't use pouches.
