HAI. My rsn is chirdo magus and I want 96 magic because spellbook swap is just nifty--I could stay in the lunar spellbook and swap whenever I needed a default or ancient spellbook teleport, the occasional alching/superheating/enchanting of miscellaneous items, and moar! And of course, I'd be getting the magic levels for numerous other coveted spells, namely Ice Barrage! How will I accomplish that? Well, I'm doing the mage training arena enchanting method. I am on a very old and slow computer meaning it may take me slightly more time to do things, such as teleporting in and out of a runecrafting temple. That adds up and puts quite a dent in my total output for the day. :[ Step 1 - Obtain pure essence. I need 44,155 (Slightly less, I do teleport around rather often...). Max price on the ge at the time of this post would total approximately 6.91 million. Theres no way I'm mining all of that pure essence, so that means I have some gold to make. It's FISHING TIME. Step 2 - Craft cosmic runes. I'm just running back and forth in Zanaris but I do use the medium agility shortcut. I need to craft 88,849 cosmic runes in total. This step is typically the one that kills me, so I hope I can keep myself going. Step 3 - Go to mage training arena and enchant. A lot. Step 4 - Get 96 magic, YAYAYAYYAYAY Step 5 - By the time I use that many cosmic runes in the enchanting chamber, I'll have quite a lot of blood and death runes, meaning I'm going to head on over to castle wars and break out some ice barrage! I am currently at: Step 1 - It's FISHING TIEM!

Are there technical reasons that bar them from coming up with a method to roll back individial characters rather than rolling back the entire server or asking Jagex to directly restore items/gp to you? There is no excuse to not allow some form of compensation or solution to be worked out for players affected by a bug like this. Judging from the jmod's post on the first page, they can check the validity of claims such as losing gp through a bug. Also, I wish Das was a CSR for some of the companies I dealt with.

If they are not asking something unreasonable (For example, dragging me away from what I'm doing for more than a bit of my time) then I'm happy to help, and I always carry soul runes for teleother or cure poison spells, just incase someone gets in a little jam. Just the other day a level 60 was in pollnivneach and didn't bring GP and ran out of water. So I got some empty waterskins, cast humidify on them and traded them to him, then explained how to fill waterskins. Some people take this game way too seriously with the way they react to people who need help and even ask for it politely. Learn to play nice, it'll do you some good. Original Poster: It's always nice to help other players, but you must also always keep in mind that there is a difference between helping/teaching somebody and doing the work for them.

Ancients are mad expensive, but I take it you were thinking of going to a multi combat area and ice bursting everything? I doubt that would work out too well without prayer. High alching is a good way, especially if you're able to make a profit off of what you're alching. Otherwise, I strongly suggest the mage training arena enchanting mini game as it is also a source of extra death and blood runes to cast ice barrage when you do hit 94 magic. Up until 87 magic you will need to have a mud staff and cast enchant lvl 5 jewellery, afterwards you can cast level 6 enchant jewellery with a lava staff. In order to help you make your decision, I'll include the math based on your high score lookup. This is also accounting for the fact that you receive 25% less xp from enchanting spells in the mage training arena. 79-87 magic: 39608 x lvl 5 enchant casts. 87-94 magic: 54466 x lvl 6 enchant casts Overall: 91374 cosmics You have two options, which is buying the cosmics or the rune essence to craft the cosmics, both of which are acceptable because you are high enough runecrafting to make 2 cosmics per rune essence. I'm using the average price for cosmics, but it can only be approximate because of fluxuating(sp?) prices. Pure essence: 45687 x 155 gp = 7,081,485 gp Cosmic runes: 91374 x 161 gp = 14,711,214 gp Hope this helps, and good luck getting 94 magic!

Serum 207 was the cheapest way I found to get to 63 herblore (Its my current level, but I'm going for 65). Surprisingly, people sell ashes on the ge and tarromin is cheap. The only downside is that it is not a fast method and you have to do a lot of mixing. While it is also untradeable, your net money loss would be a lot less than that of super attacks or super strengths, etc - unless you were farming the herbs yourself. Its probably not the most overall effective method though. :[ Edit - Whoops, I forgot to add this, but if you choose this method you will need to make 1898 serums in order to go from 60 to 63.

Hello, and welcome to what may be a possible item correction. I'm curious as to whether or not cooking gauntlets affect monkfish. While they are infact fish, the item DB doesn't specify cooking monkfish being able to benefit from wearing the gauntlets. Instead, many players choose swordfish in it's place on their way to 99 cooking, a fish that is more expensive and provides less xp. Asking around, I've gotten mixed answers such as: "No." "Yes." "Yes, because it is a fish." "Yes, because I know everything and take the game too seriously--brb, I hear my runescape ringtone." "No, because I know everything and take the game too seriously--brb, I hear my runescape ringtone." And, the most reasonable answer, "I don't know." If the answer is infact yes, then 99 cooking should become noticeably cheaper and it can be added to the cooking gauntlets list of fish. However, my understanding is that this is was a subject of somewhat heated debate in the past, though I have yet to see any data to support either arguement. I am expecting to hear "so and so tested it and the answer is ___" but as with any experiment/test, one or two people is not enough. The goal of this thread is not to debate, do not turn it into a debate - That means you and your teenage angst. The goal of this thread is to compile conclusive data from numerous people to determine who is right and present it to somebody with website editing privileges. Fortunately, it is worth your time because you are levelling cooking/fishing in the process. In order to help, you must be below the no-burn level requirement for monkfish without (And possibly with) gauntlets. Here's how you can help: 1- Get cooking gauntlets. If you have not completed family crest, you need to in order to obtain them. If you have lost your gauntlets, speak to Dimintheis in varrock for a replacement. 2- Get some raw monkfish. You can either fish them or buy them from the GE. I suggest buying 2000. 3- Cook a set amount of monkfish (1k if you followed the advice above) with the gauntlets, and cook a set amount without the gauntlets (The other 1k). I am unsure whether or not you have an increased burn rate when cooking on a campfire as opposed to a range (If you know for sure, tell me and I will edit appropriately), so in order to prevent skewed results, I'd prefer if you cooked on a range instead. Cooking guild is your best option for doing so. 4- Post data here. Include how many raw monkfish you cooked with gauntlets along with the amount you burned, how many you cooked without gauntlets and also the amount you burned. If you could seperately include the percentage burned it would be much appreciated, otherwise I can just calculate myself. I realize that this is a tl;dr post. If you took the time to at least read it, I certainly appreciate it. Happy cooking!
