  1. No. PvP should be a personal choice. No one should feel obligated to go there. In my opinion, it limits your clan's full waring potential. As mentioned above, some equipment is not brought to the wars, thus hindering what those members could be doing. Sure, it's fun for loot and a new experience, but it shouldn't be "oh if you don't go you're not a man". Well, myself personally, am not going to feel less of a man because I spend my internet time in one place as opposed to another. It's all about self preference. Like I said, I like a clear win or loss.
  2. They can't complain about that request because it's just the same as asking for the items off. I always hate hearing clans complain with "you only won because you had all those dung items". Well hell yeah we do. I personally have made it my mission to encourage and aid every member of Downfall to get at least one dungeon item. It's really not difficult to get 40k tokens. I have had people who hate the skill end up trying it out and loving it. It's actually quite enjoyable with a good group.
  3. Exactly, and for that matter, what if I decided I didn't like rune armour because I'm too lazy to go to the bank and withdraw mine? It is part of the game and should be allowed. I don't believe those who put the effort in should suffer for those who don't want to.
  4. Not going to lie, this topic did bring a tear to my eye along with an explosion of memories and faces from over the years. People don't realize how real and impacting an online friendship can be. I have some guys I met back in 2002 that still I am in contact with. We went through Jr high and highschool together along with countless in game adventures. I don't post much but this was well worth it. Some names worth mentioning: Mikiu- My longest standing RS friend. He picked me up when he was a bad ass lvl 64 in rune and I was some lvl 20. He helped me get going in the game and meet a lot of my closest friend in game. If I didn't happen to stroll into that random building (now known as Gertrude's house *excuse spelling) I'd probably have never gotten far in the game. Emperor75- Awesome guy who helped me make my way in the vast new "members world". Also Mikiu's cuz. Moe- RL friend of the two above. Been my most recent friend to quit playing of our old group. Great guy still talk to almost daily. The kids now don't have what we had. I would never think twice about lending out any of my rares or cash to them. I always knew I'd get it back. The kind of trust we had in our group was something you just don't see any more. Shame jagex doesn't have a "if friends for 5+ years free trade" rule. I miss our old b-day and christmas parties :(
  5. Wow. What has happened to the tip.it clan community? I have read 5 clan war recaps so far and every one of them has been consumed by trolls, flammers, and over all jerks. Where did the respect that tip.it used to demand go?
  6. Wow. I apologize for the behavior of some of the members in Downfall. I want it to be known that we are not a clan forged on flamming, pitty insults, and fat egos. Not all of our members are like that and I do hope those reading do not push us into that stereotype. That being said, congrats on your win LGZ, I look forward to our upcoming war.
  7. I see all these posts about numbers, but answer me this: Who was left standing at the end?
  8. The problem is, it's like anything else. People would rather spend countless hours finding ways to argue and find excuses against it than to take the time and go get it themselves. I didn't like someone else having something better than I did so I went out and got my own. People will turn around once jagex waters dungeoneering down like they did every other skill.
  9. King Yufei- Cool, laid back guy that encourages and excites the clan. Makes you feel good when you do good, but doesn't rage at people when the clan is down (a rare quality from what I've seen). Warria06- Quiet guy, but is a great leader in my eyes. Puts the team over his own pride which is also a rare trait. Knowns when to call off to regroup/rest. Have been in Downfall my whole waring career so I haven't really been under many leaders. These two are the ones who have stood out to me.
  10. Then why post? OT I do not see why it is even a problem. Dungeoneering items are stronger, yes, but they require work and effort to obtain them. Those players and clans who want to take it to the next level will go out for it. We have a group of 8 of us who regularly do dungeons as a group. It is because we have that pride and love for our clan that we are willing to spend those extra hours grinding out the xp. We do this because we want to see our clan grow. We want to better ourselves as individuals to increase the over all performance together as a clan. I don't see how someone can deny others of their rights to use these weapons that they worked hard to obtain. If you're too lazy to go get your own, then you should have no right to complain. Chances are if these players had them, they'd want them on every war as well. On another note, as said before, dungeoneering really does bring your clan together. We do daily dungeons and we have a blast. I've really gotten to know some of those members in my clan who I would never have had any connection with before. We've grown strong bonds that will always be there in the future. Bonds that will allow us to trust and build off eachother's strengths and weaknesses in wars. I know it's a tough process, but if you find a good group, it's really a great time.
  11. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to use the internet. OT Downfall vs The Rising The Blacknights vs The Knights of Order Chivarly Legions vs Northern Gods Future of Old Style vs Forsaken
  12. Great job guys! Wish I could have been there to join you in the victory but I had other things keeping me busy. Not like you needed me. Goes to show that if you want something hard enough, we can pull together as a clan and achieve it. Much love Downfall and thanks to those in Gladz who have been respectful back. Look forward to waring you guys and gals sometime :)
  13. Great job to those who warred. Enjoyed watching you turn it around. Beautiful tanks and KOs. Let's go all the way!
