Or shall we start with the the same technology as we have now and then add continuations to that. I believe no tech would be the best, y'no like civalisation starts and then we could actually create a new sort of culture with diffrent types of weapons and objects for each culture. Bear in mind if you want to even make a gun your going to have to research medium complexity machinery metal work creation of gunpowder creation of steal/iron whatever but in a true steampunk style this would encourage invention and out of the box thinking it would also allow for abut of survialism. Trol, thats exactly what I wanted :) To make borders you need to use the colour of which your country is to draw a line, then you need to make sure that none of the paint can escape those lines (IE no holes) Then fill it in with the paint tool, its simple Just resize it on paint, you press CTRL if you want it to stay the same ratio I think.

I meant for random events there could be a rebellion or a peace parade or maybe a worker production increase due to it bieng really sunny or something. You mean something like godzilla? something you have to fight? We could have something like that but i'm struggling to think of the something like that which would occour naturally.

But there are no NPC's in the hegemony?

Thanks Mather, I think if I get one or two more people I can write up the rules and a little introduction text. I think with idea stealing that would mean that you could just beat people up instead of research, and if you do research it'll be weapons, weapons and more weapons. If we start with no technology we'll have a much more cultured world when we hit 2010 IMO. Mather, but what if everyone joins to phoenix and they kill the black arms?

Well I am and thats how I play the game but I include mass Nazi rallys and other stuff like that. Just go out of your play style for a bit and see if you like it.

What would the variants be? there definatly would be speed variants.

But you can do that in the hegemony, the nation bit is the actual game but you can do upclose combat, you can describe how your solider rips through people on the battle field or play as a president and kill some poor women because they didn't pay there rent and then watch as there children mourn over there dead body.

Earth, can you fill out the survey four posts up by me. Now can someone who wants to take part in Hegemony Classic/The Hegemony fill out the form. I'm just wandering what the rules should be. Its not exactly the same gamplay. 1. its in space. 2. It has systems in place for everything. 3. Research time is not decided by the player. 4. Ships and buildings are preset. 5. Space combats confusings. 6. And more that I care not to list.
