I believe America also sold weapons and supplies to Britain, this probably saved Britain at some point....

America was a very big part of the pacific, just because they didn't fight Germany directly as much as Russia or Britain doesn't mean they didn't do anything. Without America, Japan could have even invaded Russia, which would have proved dangerous for the Russians' who would not be able to handle a war on two sides, they were pretty much at their break point with Germany.

Well duhhh, but I could probably arm a lot of troops. I can't find no exact figure sadly though.

Strategema
Yes, but China can conscript 343,000,000 more apparently....

America also has twice the amount of soldiers you stated I believe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_total_troops

Err cause why would you obliterate your bank? Literally, after the outcome of the war you are saying, America would be in so much debt that they will probably splinter and or get invaded by someone else. See, I don't think America could take that approach, even if they did have their entire military at their disposal, because it is just too stupid to do. America will probably only target high important targets with their missiles and aircraft and military bases. Civillian areas are a no attack zone instantly because of the fact that would ruin factories(which will most likely get captured by American footsoldiers, because they are too valuable to America). The fast strike attacks to China's military, will render it rather damaged, giving America a window to land troops while China picks up it's army. After America has landed it's troops, they will secure the largest cities ASAP, obliterating China's power. Now this is where America simply cannot handle China. China, now having it's army back in shape, will now have the advantage in numbers and the fact that this is their coutnry and they probably know it better. Even with the sheer devastation caused by American attacks, the Chinese army will be much larger than the landed American army (as they will not be able to land their entire army, it's too costly, so some will remain in reserve when the losses begin to pour in). Chinese armies will begin zerging the American fortifications (which the American's may or may not have set up) which will not have the manpower to defend, and America will eventually be pushed back to the shores.

1 - Do you know how many explosives it would take to take out an entire city? Especially one with the sizes of China? It would take a lot..... That's a lot of money to spend on explosives. 2 - No, I imagine the people of China will be more annoyed at the people bombing their homes? As I said, this is in the event of an offensive war by the USA. 3 - America nor India is suited to have such a sudden change in their productions, consumerism will still be ruined. 4 - Once your jets have run out of fuel, or have become too damaged, and once you have run out of missiles and such (and this will happen) America will have literally no offensive potential. The offense they built up with the strikes on Chinese military bases and defensive lines to gain a foothold would lose their back up support, the Chinese swarm returns and it's a massive blow to American forces, which will have to retreat, now America faces huge potential of annoyed public, literally no economy as their businesses NEED this and the stock market will most likely crash. I truely believe America can't beat China.

Ehh China will never reach America in terms of Navy, their navy is just too underdeveloped currently, and it would take too long to build the ships, also the shipyards could just be bombed, which means China just wasted a ton of money. But is simply too large of a target for America to use the devastate everything tactic. And once America has used up all their missiles bombers and all that crap, their infantry get slaughtered by the sheer mass of the Chinese army America could then probably blockade China, causing them to.... I mean the rest of the world to starve as most Chinese products would not make it out of their nation. China's GDP would plummet, but consumerism AROUND THE WORLD, would get harmed. America would have to ask for peace due to growing dissent within their own country, and also around the world. Infact other countries would begin to be called in due to America pretty much cutting off the worlds biggest producer of materalistic things.

It also costs a lot to pay the entire army (which I don't think has ever been deployed, perhaps excluding ww1&2). The fact you already pay A LOT, and I mean a really huge amount into military already then you are going to have to use your entire gdp. ALSO, I'm not sure if America even has enough supply of other resources to deploy everyone, so many soliders may go out under equipped. Also the outcome of the war VERY much depends on who is the defender and who is the offender. In a defensive war against China, America will probably win due to the fact China has a horrible navy, but in an offensive war? America wouldn't last too long.

The Back Room
Errr no It's cause war is expensive as hell, and the fact that certain benefits from the war are just not that beneficial when compared to the costs. Citzens do help when it comes to stopping the war, but they are not the only thing.

Wouldn't every country in the UN be obliged to join? If Britain wasn't hit hard by this economic crisis, then we probably could do a good fight against America, being an island nation with a navy that was comparable to America and land forces with better training, we could probably be rather hard to set up an invasion on.

That's quite questionable actually What if the American's declared war on the European Union or the United Nations?

Just wondering, what is your career choice? Cause there's 1000's of careers that can change the environmental state of a nation.

Eh just cause buy something from you doesn't give you rights to say you're saving the planet... I mean you're the people drilling the oil in the first place! You're the people who actually allow it to be used... Perhaps your exporting of oil counteracts that storage?

The Back Room
It's been done, and people always betray.

Oh that whole storing it under the ocean crap? Yeah that is one thing I seriously do not agree with, ever since I have heard of it. I just know it will be released again and it's just delaying the problem.
-
The Back Room
So why's that a bad way to show? Wouldn't it take more generation to have enough for the larger population? Also storing emissions? What do you mean?
-
The Back Room
Isn't per capita an average per person? I'm not exactly sure what it means But that would show that the average British man is better for the environment than the average Norwiegen man
