My bad. I'm not sure how strict the EU is, but I have heard they can be extremely strict.

I believe Britain and Norway have the same, due to them having to use the EU food standards or something http://www.efsa.europa.eu/ For more information. I would also like to point out 'smoked' food also has been linked with lung cancer (then again what isn't) and the fact that smoking kills parasites is also besides the point, as tapeworms get into your body via eggs which are probably under your finger nails if you do not keep your finger nails clean.

Errrr I think he means getting merits for only doing side quests, main quests and researching is because it limits merits we get and also it can make it so we have to fight over it, and competition always makes a game fun. Furthermore it is so people are not doing things that do not relate to the mission or help.

It looks annoying as hell to tell the time from.

Has anyone recieved a message stating "Help Rune tips out" or something along those lines? If so, I believe it is a virus, although I have only opened the message and have not clicked the link outside, and thus unsure it is a virus. I just believe it is overlly suspicious. So just checking that no one clicks the link.

Oh okay For the sake of not missing anymore sessions can we list the days when we're going to have sessions? Cause I was previously planning a Cursed Planet session anyway.

Sorry I missed out this session guys, I was asleep. Anyone care to fill me in? (I didn't actually think the session was today, I thought it was Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Close future. It's in 2070, when humanity finally reaches space. Colonisation will be an aspect, but it is not the soul of the game, as so countries may not want to go to space, and try to fight out the remaining land on Earth.

I have got a hegemony game in the works, as I have a HUGE amount of time off in following weeks. I think around 3 months. Anywho, it's based on the space map with a few minor changes, such as a couple of extra countries. I will be stealing some rules from EU 3. I could probably complete it for Sunday. Also if I complete this I may stop running Cursed Planet which I have already considered anyway, I feel the tavern does not need 2 character based games but one character based game (space) and one hegemony. I will post the basic concept in a thread if people want me to, just so I don't make it and then you guys don't like it.

I'm sorry guys I pretty much fell asleep at the IRC channel and then when I woke up I decided bed was a better alternative. Because if I tried playing when I was sleepy I would have made mistakes and jeoperdies the mission.

Eh, we're all allowed to get angry at some point. It's your choice if you want me back in any of your sessions, your session which already seem to dwindle in members.

I have accepted the mistake, and never did I say Naples was OP. I was very sure I checked the sliders, but a blunder like that is soo tiny yet so costly it kind of annoys you doesn't it? If it doesn't well then, I guess you're more used to a blunder than I am? Also you changed your plans because of me? Short of me asking you to stay in war with Naples for like 2 months extra, which would have no effect on you at all, and you giving me libya (which I never even asked for, you simply said I can have it) I can't think of how any plans have changed. Furthermore, you have the ability to fight the timurids cause, well duh, you have a [bleep] off huge army. I made simple yet very costly mistakes that just pissed me off cause I thought I checked all of that, cause I normally do. Also the fact that getting a - stab event EVERY.GOD.DAMN.TIME I actually get to 2 stab, is just frankly annoying. Which only aggrevated me when it happened RIGHT after the incident. I absolutely fail to believe you in my position would not have been pissed off.

My relatively small economy? I was in - double digits a year, I can't remember specfically. I had like 20 ducats remaining, my 6000 troops were now stranded on sardina, my country was open to the naples army, I had 0 stability, and 4.2 infaltion. It was frankly unwinnable, although I had a 4000 man army in algiers, it wouldn't have done much to the larger and probably better lead Naples army. Even by your gifted nature at this game, it would be hard to win, and as I am not you I definately had no chance. The best you could have done would probably be to take out ANOTHER (I already had one out) loan, and to pay for a small force to repel the Naples army, you wait out the war defensively until they white peace out due to the high WE of losing troops to attacking, and then what are you left with? Every year that the war goes on you probably would of had to have taken another loan. Now you could have said I could have gotten loaned money by one of you guys, but using that as a last minute bail every time something goes wrong would make the game just simply boring.

Okay, now up til now have I been on your side Mather, but that last post, was pretty much a hate post. Cool the jets bro, just cause he is annoying you doesn't mean you have to be so agressive, and if he is doing it on purpose like you saying he is then he wins. You infact sound like "Crybaby"...

The reason your playstyle annoyed people and was considered bad was A) 100% military is boring B) If everyone went 100% military, everyone would essentially have the same stuff, OR the higher budget countries would continue to be omni powerful C) You left for a holiday and let someone else control your nation, something that if frowned upon When you have a huge military, everyone literally just says "I send X troops to Y and they destroy stuff" because once you have such a large force you just either lose all tactical thinking or simply think you do not need it as you have too much raw power. Which is a horrible way to play the game, as it just becomes a game where you say you attack there, and then there and then there and then there. It gets sooo boring. Now people will have different play styles. Look at Dusty/Nero in comparison to Mather. Mather prefers technological thinking and creating weird techs to create an advantage against his opponents. While Dusty prefers military means, which although works, it only works for him because he does it sensibly and he knows what he wants. So what I am saying is, if you are choosing to say that hegemony is 100% a military game, you should still not go 100% military, because it removes the fun with strategic and tactical thinking. You should perhaps think about what you really want to achieve with a war, and how you shall achieve it.

Erm, plants would simply not survive the harshness of venus. I'm not if this way would work, but one crazy way to do it would be to bombard Venus with a huge amount of UV(and above) radiation to literally rip apart the molecules. Although I am not sure what would come after that so it would need to be worked on before you would use it. Also the amount of energy required is too high to even benefit you.

I think even mercury is easier to colonise than Venus :P

The Back Room
Depending on how you hype the event up (Such as release huge news story and hype up the event for the public) you could get a core for colonisation, as people begin rushing to live at Europa, as it becomes the 'new in thing'

Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
(Shouldn't I have gotten a +1 cause of my zombie survalist, or are these not zombies?) As the abominations get busy with all the people with melee weapons (that's like what? All of them except 3 and one of them just got sent flying into a wall?) I get into a firing position and shoot off a few aimed shots into the abomination, generally going for what seem to be headshots.

I've been running hegemony ideas through my head for months now. I was thinking of setting one in a similar setting to Archi's space. Where the world is finally starting to enter space, except of course there would not be the unity, there would not be super intelligent AI's either. I would also have the UN being either more active or completely gone. Cause most people simply ignore the UN so why have it there? But the UN also provides a good defense agaisnt people who really love to expand stupidly. I would also have some stuff stolen from EU 3, cause I believe that it has some good rules about warfare, such as core provinces, attrition, occupation. They also have a good random event system, and the tech system is rather basic, which is actually quite nice to have for a change, although I would probably not keep the tech system. The only thing that I believe I would not take is the trade system, because people simply do not trade in hegemony, and if they do they probably expect some weird effect from it. Also I laughed quite hard at this. Also New mouse today! It's.... Beautiful... I can click and scroll now... Celebrations are in order.
