  1. I am up for it, I would say Satuday and Sunday, but I have an exam on Monday so I would have to actually miss that session, unless it ended at around 12 - 1 am GMT
  2. Ehh, I am finishing it as fast as I can. I declare war, destroy their army then assualt and conquer them all within a month. I then have to wait like 2-3 months for it to recharge. I am also fighting Burgundy. Also that large ass war in the beginning rose my war exhaustion high, but on the bright side, Brittany and Scotland are my vassal, I also got some real good tradition from fighting all of those countries at the same time.
  3. Are we? I thought it was over !?

Cause it doesn't make sense for people to suddenly become killers? So everyone is not going to be prepared for everyone to kill eachother.

  16. I am changing nation, Japan is a one province minor now. I may go for Ottomans, although I have never played a country in that region. Or perhaps Sicily.

  20. And if I have a warmongering nation where the people are enthusiastic about mass genocide and want more space to live, then they should be thrilled? "Oh no, we're sad because we're utterly destroying an enemy that we consider scum and inferior, regardless if we believe that they should be wiped off the face of the planet and replaced with our own offspring!" Sure, discontent would take place if we lived in a society of today, but since we're creating our own races, why not? Well of course that would be different, but that would compensate with other things... Like, extreme Isolation.
  21. Hey guys, thinking about a new hegemony-esque game for people still interested in that genre. I'll probably mod it during the summer holiday, so like three weeks time. Set in space and you are free to create your own races. I am thinking about having humanity as a NPC, to avoid people picking Earth, or setting it in a completely made up galaxy. I was thinking for the research system, that seems to be quite the gamebreaker in most of the hegemony games there may need to be categories for user created tech, and then tech that is universal. So when you create your tech you would have to say Project Name Project Class: (Offensive, Defensive, General, Civillian, etc) Project Cost: Project Description: Project Benefits: Project Research Time: I know this system has probably be done before, but I feel it helps with the gamebreaking, cause it shows what the project actually does and what you get from it and what you need to get for it. Budget and resources Okay, it seems with MOST hegemony games, people are given a hell ton of money, and are like 'what the hell do I do with this?' you then run out of said money within a couple of days, and then have nothing to do within the next few days. So I have decided to change this. Instead you will all get small bits of cash every turn, which will be 1 day = 1 month. But cash will not be the only thing you have to use, as one unit of resource is boring and it means your strength is easily measured by the amount of cash you have. Instead it will be sorted out to this Money Construction material (Perhaps split up) Manpower Special Elements (Perhaps split up) Money will be used for general trade, and to pay your civilians to build stuff. Construction material can be used for trade, will be used in the construction of buildings and space ships and armies Manpower, this is the people who can be hired into your armies, not in construction unless you use a conscription recruiment method. Special elements, these are for special things you can do, will mainly concern researched technologies. War War is also an important system in hegemony, because people just seem to steamroll the crap out of the weaker nations, and just have a stalemate with anything near your power level until one of you makes a move and everyone pounces, so instead I am going to change that. You can declare war anytime you want, but it can have costly effects on people, such as, pissing them off. (This is to avoid people steam rolling) Generally people are okay with you going to war with nations you are not in good relations with, but things they may get annoyed about are things such as Good relations Their allies Their strength How many nations are currently at war with them The reason for the war I will try not allow it to limit you guys too much, but it is to stop people from killing everything in sight. Conquering may also be changed. When you take a planet over, you do not get 100% efficiency from the planet, it will build up over time, and depending on the severity of the conquer, such as orbital bombardment, that can even go into the minuses (to repair what you did) Again, to stop steamrolling. Roleplaying is rewarded, example would be what Grim was doing during the latest Roleplay, when he made leader speeches. Although, it is not rewarded like crazy, for people who just don't want to. Opnions?
  22. I'll consider going Britain Scotland Denmark Tyrone A HRE minor
  23. Icuow
  24. Well I can't really go Japan anymore, they're a one province minor and the game pretty much wants one of the dynamos to take over. I think I may go for a more European nation anyway, perhaps something like Norway or one of the HRE's nations.
  25. I find it better than the other version, visually improved by a ton. Except my first game with it ended with my getting seriously pissed off at France (I was playing as England). They declared war at pretty much day 1, before I could even get close to building an army to match theres, so I bided my time and built up a nice force of around 30,000 (of course split up) to tackle their giant force. The first major battle ended with my defeat, as a 15,000 army of Frenchies caught a 9,000 group of englishmen off guard. Then some serious bs happened when the remains of both our armies after a few months of constant battles, my 22,000 against their 13,000. I lost freaking terribly, as I was spectacting the dice rolls I saw I rolled zero like four times in a row, and they rolled 7+ each time I did that, plus their leaders shock. They caught the army in a retreat chase, where my entire army was eliminated, leaving 0 forces and a nice large French force ready to kick my ass.
