  1. It's always great to have an abundance of alliances, it can drag you into stability free wars (sometimes) and can REALLY come in handy when a huge nation declares war on you. The main downside is if you ally with large nations, they tend to fight large nations, it's a vicious war to be dragged into if you're bordering the enemy country. I feel my style of gameplay is aggressive. But I will never declare without a casus beli, ever, it is rarely worth it.
  2. Infamy of 35? I think that's near the limit of everyone who borders you auto declares war unless they're your ally. I'm not sure if infamy is badboy in this game, but if it is you is gunna diiiiiie. I got to infamy 29 as Sicily, and Austra/Burgundy/Castille/Foux/Granada/Two middle eastern countries declared war on me (seperate wars), and I only lost one war, which was against Austria, but this was only cause I decided to end it early, and they were against a white peace, even though I held 5 provinces and they held none. I gained around 600 ducats, and lost 25. 1000 ducats is crazy, I never keep money, incase I get dragged into a war I cannot win and they ask for it.

I guess he can't be tankful if he's tankless :(

You should be tankful it was hideous ;)
  5. My game as Sicily went pretty cool. As I was an ally with Aragon, I got dragged into war with Sardina, but my troops arrived first, meant I could annex them, and Aragon seemed okay with that. Naples army got destroyed by France, right as I got a mission on them, so they were an easy annexation (even though that wasn't the mission), Tuscunny and Urbino become my vassals. I conquer the Papal states. Modena, Pisa become vassals. I own Venice*. All going pretty good, except my infamy is 20 something, and Austria is a gigantic blob, and they hate me. Oh and I neighbour them.
  6. This might be quite complicated but; Like off Victoria, your country has like a literacy rating (or something like that) which increases with the more money you put into it and vice versa. There are planned researches, created by the moderator and non-original which have to be worked out before you can even start researching them, so that the moderator knows it's not OP. The education rate is like a % that decreases the time it takes for researching. So 60% education rate = 6% days off. I would say it could be referenced to population, but then it gets really effin complicated. Well anyway, this would allow people to play technological nations, instead of everyone pretty much being balanced down every route. Although now thinking about it, 10% off 10 days (which is already kinda long in research in hegemony) is only 1 day. It's a system that needs working tbh.
  7. Also my game of Britain has been going good. My first mission was to conquer the whole of Ireland, so free casus beli's for annexation with no infamy. God's gift basically, and as it was early, they had no allies, so I quickly declared war and owned their asses. My next mission was the secure Caux and Normandie, which very luckily for me was an easy grab, as France was in a war with Sicily Provence Bohemia and some other country that had their entire army occupied (and later defeated). After this, I started getting subjigation missions, so my vassals are Provence, Scotland and some French country beginning with A. Anywho, I pretty much rose to maximum power in the world because of this. Another war with France cause I was bored, and most of southern France was mine! Lately I've been in a gigantic war against Aragon Portugal and France (Aragon is the second European power, as they conquered most of Castille and inherited Brittany). Which is pretty much ended in a stalemate (I did get a white peace and accepted, but I forgot to save).

Wait I'm confused, the system of giving people resources pretty much averts anyway of people stealing crap. It's a better system overall, it promotes hardwork and levels out people grabbing resources when we don't actually want them used, I.E what started the entire problem in the first place. Also Chi was promised it, I'll be very annoyed if he doesn't get it.
  9. I did exactly as instructed by you, and by Paradox, neither have worked. XD

Is a session on tonight? If so I wont be able to attend, so a few things need to be cleared up. Mather is entitled to 50KT Earth is entitled to some (unspecified) for repairing the ship, as he seems to want to do it so badly.

I'm sure you're allowed back on if you shows signs of change. As in don't keep saying people annoy you, don't be prone to violence, think about stuff before you do it. So on and so on. Just forgive people, and we'll forgive you.

I'm probably going to Nero's ship. It isn't you... it's me... No it's you.

I'm not sure about cyborgs actually being that super considering some factors... Like humans, they have extremely complex (perhaps even MORE complex) internal systems. The internal systems will not be armored, it would be counter productive, thus they can still be harmed If an internal system failed, then the cyborg/human would fail. But the one terrible thing about a cyborg, they wouldn't heal. Humans wear and tear all the time, and we're not even using our bodies the our full potential. Now consider for one moment, a cyborg, it maybe made of metal, but they're using their bodies more aggressively. I'm pretty sure a cyborg wouldn't give a damn about punching a door down. But if you consider that if, let's say a specific nerve ending in the cybernetic arm broke (as electronics do sadly) it would render that part completely useless. Now the advantage from being a cyborg is that replacing parts is sooo much easier, but imagine if this happened in the middle of a fight. It could be the difference between you winning or being coverted into space junk. So yeah, cyborgs are stronger/faster than humans, but they're probably more likely to fail to mundane things. Also if people are saying that they are healing as cyborgs, than I am now introducing research into human body part replication that can happen at the speed of as fast as they can replicate themselves, reason? If a complex mix of compounds and metals can be replicated easily, why can't organic materials, both would be similar in structure and design. Heck if we can store entire databases of solar systems on the AI, it surely can store a certain persons DNA, body structure and such. Which is definitely evident because the AI is able to respawn us if we die. TL:DR Cyborgs are just superhumans in every aspect except life expectency.

Whadda about this, if nanites have started causing problems, you turn on the air vents are full capacity (so they pretty much suck everything in, well everything tiny) and part way down the ventillation line is an ionisation or some form of electromagnet or something. It would fry all the nanites.
  15. Icuownage replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
To answer the nanites, I'm saying that they can be EMP'd. If it's in the ship the room can be sealed off and then an EMP can be used in just that room. Also for the nanites to get on the ship, you assume the missle breaks through the shield and hull.

If no one steps up by next session I'll assume the role.
  17. Yes it is something with layers, switch to the layer which the image is on and then try to move it, remember to press 'Command' (US) or 'CTRL' (UK). Don't switch to anything else, perisist with professional package you have at the moment and eventually you'll get good at it. Don't switch to something mediocre like Paint.net or GIMP because its easier. I'm using GIMP, and there's only one layer :/, I'll try check out the layers though and try what you just suggested :)
  18. I really don't get some of the features on more 'professional' image editors. Their select tool does pretty much nothing it actually says it does. Instead of selecting the actual image, it just makes a border around what I just did. I then go to move it, cause it looks selected, and it only moves the border. So I see a 'move' tool, I'm like that's obviously what I want, and I click 'selection' and when I move my selection, guess what, it moves the borders again. What the hell. Can't it be simple like paint and when I say SELECT it actually selects the image and not crap. Is it something with the layers?

I claim captain, and my first decree is that everyone who annoys Lynx has a restraining order of 1,000 miles from her. This is for her benefit of course. [hide] This of course being everyone means that she will not be allowed back on the ship effective immediatly [/hide] Of course I kid.

Just to lay it out there, I am perhaps number 1 in deaths. Also I am amazingly unlucky! Remember that time when I mutinied, and took control of the ship to destroy that British ship? I shot that guy with a tranquiliser WHO THEN FELL ON THE ALARM. My support tele'd in (I can't remember who they were) and when they shot their gun, the shell exploded in the barrel, causing an eplosion that removed all our firepower. The only reason we made it out was cause I went for the [bleep] it all option and blew the hell outta the ship and escaped before support came in.

If Faust joined in on your side I'll have to join in on Chi's side.

Nero would be the absolute leader of humanity if he recieved this role. That's scary. Bringing up the other idea, we all take a captain test. If SI doesn't mind anyway. Basically a few scenarios from the simulator that puts us all into situations that show our strong and weak points.
  23. Icuownage replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
I vote a new system until a captain becomes obvious. This is seriously bad timing for Ross to stand down, as tensions rise as a new captain takes over, and as it is obviously apparent none of us see someone as a superior, then none of us are going to okay with the new captain. So perhaps a democracy based system until someone proves their worth? Or perhaps we all run a simulation to take a captain test, and find who's the most eligible.

But but but but who do I serve?! Jeremiah is king O_O
  25. Icuownage replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Ross made me giggle, then Archi made lol XD So if whoever that picture was aimed at took over, we would go thousands of years back in technological advancements, and live in huts, have pyramids and actually rely on light houses? How 'bout we just kill Faust? I mean there's tons of ways to do it. His psionics are nothing! Joking of course. To answer Lynx, I have been loyal to this crew ever since I started with this guy! I mean Gavrill is an entire different character.. To be honest, I don't think Nero totally wants to destroy us, he stated that he is just doing a mission and will only attack us if we attack him, so in my mind if we just let him be it'll all be okay. In fact it wouldn't be so bad to be at least slightly friendly to Germa- w/e the hell.
