  1. I would have it so everyone started off with the same stats Like 10 10 10 10 10, and actions you did in game would rub off into your stats. Such as, if you were a wizard, your intelligence and wisdom would begin to rise, but your strength would begin to become weaker (although not massively so) Get rid of classes and just let people play how they want to, but limit people when they try to multi-class too much. Have the old dungeoneering levelling system, except change it up a bit to allow more balance that choose to craft and or go more peaceful.
  2. Sigh... Res if you really want this to change then go to offtopic. I for one prefer the back room as it generally stops people posting stuff in actual game topics. Furthermore, stated in the original post the back room is for anything not roleplay based, so if you're saying because a place for non rp exists in an rp subforum and is thus making the RP disappear then you're still mistaken in my opinion. Strict RP which you want hasn't been large in this forum. Even before the back room was around, people weren't big into strict roleplay and this just wont change anything, except people will just post nonsensicle things in topics that don't need it.
  3. Just because there's some where else that offers the exact same thing does not mean people want to go there. People view Falador tavern as a small community, although I'm not saying any of are xenophobic, as many of us do like to talk to others, we just prefer having an off topic of our own. So no it does not need to be moved, you have to understand that we just like having our own thing, and if you're really that pissed about it then I suggest you get your priorities checked.
  4. I will happily run a dungeoneering play by post game. As I found the IRC quite annoying to actually GM on, as little space and all of the text being the same colour, it was easy to misread or just simply miss a post. And Res, Back room is offtopic... It's just people for some reason also prefer posting game ideas here, myself included. Just now to decide what kind of dungeoneering people want.
  5. I'm like Lei in the sense I wait for others to make a noise before I do anything. Such as when I suggest a game, if no one even acknowledges the suggestion then I assume they don't want it and the game idea gets dropped. I will post a few ideas for games and see if anyone bites: Hegemony ideas: A house system, similar to crusader kings if anyone has played it, in which instead of being ruler of the entire country, you will most likely serve him as you all start out. More RP based than the other hegemonies because I'd rather people acted a bit sensibly. A remake of YOH, except more NPC nations, and such. I will most likely use the Eu3 map. You run a colony from a country you have to pick, your success grants you rewards, such as technology (as researching will be removed) and surviving and fighting off the natives and other colonies from different countries. Pretty much a faction based, base builder in which you must regulate your colony to survive, but also push out the competition to become recognised. This is pretty much based in America. Dungeoneering Ideas: A world in which anything is possible with magic, but it comes with sinister prices. Which has lead to cults who relish in magic, and people who despise people who would pay such prices to use magic. Other than that, a normal medieval fantasy setting. Campaign based fantasy setting, where you are a band of adventuerers, for whatever reason, work together. You are given an overall goal. It's pretty much a general ol DnD-esque game, with similar to DnD rules but I will have to change them in some places. Focuses more on the story as a whole rather than the story of a character, and inspires teamwork instead of people wandering off.
  6. I've suggested game after game and no ones been biting, soooo...
  7. Pendulum is alright, except all their songs sound pretty much the same, so I gues if you like one you will like them all.
  8. Take this stuff to PM... Not to sound like an ass but it's a bit annoying.
  9. Ah right, you were being pedantic. Although those messages you're given every so often in magazines and such that are called your horoscopes were what I was talking about, so I'm not really seeing where I was wrong and why I needed correcting at all.
  10. Not sure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horoscope THe wikipedia page says it's related, but eh.
  11. Right.. Even though they're different zodiacs (western (the one we use) and Hindu) you still back your point up with them. Ok. I still don't get why you're trying to say I was talking about the Chinese and Western ones, and you're talking about the Hindu ones.
  12. Year of the (wood) dog and a Taurus @Mather http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_zodiac The zodiac, as you mentioned http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horoscope The horoscope as I mentioned I'm not sure what you were correcting me on.
  13. Or you know, don't believe any of this horoscope crap because there is no way it has any influence on your life, and the only reason epople believe it does it either because coincedence or they try so hard to make something happen it does happen. E.G your horoscope says you will come into some more cash, so you work harder at work and get a promotion. Without you realising you're working harder.
  14. Sure is weeabooism up in here
  15. Aggressive negotiations :P Anyway, I find a lot of people who know a lot about politics to be a bit elitist about it so I have not really gotten into it. Ney I say something that might be a bit incorrect.
  16. That would be greed, Mather. WHAT WE NEED IS A TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENT WHERE EVERYONE IS UNDER CONTROL AND UNDER CURFEW. ANYONE WHO DISOBEYS SHALL HAVE A TALK WITH THE GENTLEMEN BRIGADE WHO WILL KEEP THE STREETS OF BRITAIN SAFE FROM HOODLUMS AND VANDALS.
  17. I don't really watch the news that much, but when I heard of the riots, I was told the man that was shot by the police was not unarmed, but infact had a gun that had blanks. Which in the police defense, you don't really know if gun carries blanks or not, and if they're holding a gun then they're liable to be killed.
  18. Just throwing an idea out, but wouldn't a larger dice be more appropirate? A D4 means that 25% of the time I will have the worst out come possible, which really doesn't bode well for certain things, and makes it quite risky. I'd suggest a D20 or even possibly a D100, although that would complicate matters on your end, but it's entirely your choice. Looks like a great game by the way and I'll make a character soon
  19. Chill man. I was just wondering if people were interested, and as I've not actually read the books of the series and only seen the series that covers the first book, then the inspiration comes from the first story, not the story all together.
  20. Because of my addiction with Game of Thrones lately, and coupled with the fact Archi's travelling tale has inspired me to play Crusader Kings I have thought about creating a hegemony-esque game I know we have done something similar with an actual Game of Thrones edition of hegemony, but here's what I would think would be different. Instead of being a 'country' you run a house within a country. Instead of being the will of your country/house you are infact an actual person (To inspire RP mostly), the difference being. You can personally participate in battles, you can be killed, and when/if you are crowned king, you are king. Death mechanics would mean your 'character' is now a relative of yours, as your former character is dead. You could go for a total kill option and just start out as a new house (perhaps formed out from your dead house) I would have some other NPC houses and start off with an NPC king There would also be other kingdoms, but I would prefer people to start off in the same kingdom Furthermore, you could go for other things, instead or even with running your house. Such as getting on a high position in the court, to further boost your power in the realm. Basically, a more heavy RP hegemony game, where instead of being a free nation you infact serve a nation.
  21. Why get out? I don't get it. It looks like a great series.
  22. Fanart doesn't have to be people ya know, doing stuff. But interesting colours make it look nice :3
  23. Yep that'll probably happen under my command. Not yours.
  24. Just started watching game of thrones, a very good series so far (Episode 2) and I have to say it is quite emotional in places and well written, but I am sure the book is better How many books are in the series?
