The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Well you could build it with composites. Anyways, Grim apparantly has 8,000 tanks, which is roughly 1,000 tanks per year.

I was talking 50% stronger because their unit cost is 50% stronger. In which case, the unit cost for the tanks are 50 million, and the tank project makes 1,000 a year. They are about the same strength as an M1 Abram.

I think someone should post a map of Africa so people don't get confuzzled.

Grim, I had two eggs. I only cracked one open. I wish I didn't. :( -------- Oooooh, that's good. I huggle it a lot.

Yay! -dances around in a circle- Do you know the estimated age of most adult golems?

Do I need anything for the ritual, or do you think I have everything I need? I think I have a focus (the ice staff).

If someone kills her, I'll hunt you down and torture you in fun fashion. :P Is there anyway I could make it a familliar? Maybe talk to the Ivory mages to get a charging stone, so that the golem would take some of my attributes, including some ice and water magic attacks? :D

I wish it were an ice golem...but I guess I could do a ritual on it to make a familliar and an ice golem. Then it could fire cute wittle beams of ice out of its hands! :D

How could you do such a thing? She's so cute and wittle. Just because she likes eating coins and treasure...

It's growing plants in water...which can be done in poor soil areas?

Japan is interested in working with the Slavic Republic on hydroponics. It points out that it could share its experience in terrace farming, to increase yields in decently fertile areas, while they could use hydroponics to grow things in poor soil areas. Due to improvements of agriculture in Indonesia, Japan is now 95% sustainable in Agricultural products. The 5% is from agriculture consumed which cannot be grown in the climate.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I just started today, when I learned that you only really need 1 billion a year for a project, so I had 20 projects that need funding. So I decided, why not research exoskeletons? So here we are. Most of the other stuff is just small efficiency stuff for farms and fishing.

Thanks Mather! The University of Tokyo also offers a 1,000,000 Yen scholarship to the group of students who create the best device, to any University in Scandanavia or Japan.

I'd be happy to work with you on the exoskeleton research, but it's not my area of expertise. Robotics can't hurt though, since Japan has also released an exoskeleton in 2009. Permission to use the darts?

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I was thinking of using them as hardkill on my main battle tanks. Just fire one at an oncoming missle and let it explode, neutralizing the missle. I can't have the explosion be too strong though, which is why I need them to be weaker.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Mather, what would you like for this research? This seems perfect for my defence. Are the darts cheap to produce? Is it possible to make them less explosive than normal?

Oh, I was under the impression they would be like those really wierd pics of Federation troops by Dusty last game. That's basically why I was thinking "Oh no." Well it's okay, I can hide behind my navy, so everything will be okay. :)

What is C4? I'm interested in creating some sort of turret with that mechanism though. Could you PM me the details? I'll purchase it, which can be negotiated of course.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I've decided that since projects don't get anywhere with more money, I will just make more projects. So I have 20 or so projects going on right now. I don't see how Exoskeletons are that feasible either. The thing that I said about the hardkill measures with firing missles at missles exist today in modern tanks, so I don't see how that isn't feasible. I accept the judgement on the other stuff, but I don't agree with this one. The reason I wanted to make an uber tank in the first place is because of the exoskeletal research. According to those pictures people were putting up, it seemed to me that they were ubering as well, hence the tank production. Anyways, if I can't defend myself using more advanced tanks, then I guess I'll have to make more of them. Anyways, would it be fair to say that my tanks were 50% stronger than the M1 Abram (US tank issued in 1980) because my tanks are larger and cost 100 million a piece, while the Abrams cost 60 million a piece? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arena_active_protection_system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trophy_active_protection_system

The tank development program costs now include the construction of 500 battle tanks for each participant in the program. The budget for the program is still 35 billion.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
That's true, but most projects eventually cost more than planned, and some are stalled because of lack of money. So if you have more money, logically you can hire more workers to build things faster, and maybe you can go ahead and buy the expensive concrete and stuff. To Rocco, I think your GDP should be growing at 4% yearly, since your nation is coming out of stuff. But basically take your real life GDP, and multiply it by 1.02 to the whatever power, so 5th power if it's 5 years from when you calculated it last. According to my calculations, with 2% GDP growth yearly, your GDP is 1.12 trillion and your budget would then be 11.2 billion. I think the year is 2019, right?
-
The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Well there you go. You spent 2 billion, and you have 8 billion for the year left. That's not hard to do, and it helps keep it organized. I think it was the year 2013, I wasn't that organized so I spent 150 billion because I kept forgetting my expenses. So I just balanced that out in 2014 by keeping my budget at 50 billion, because it didn't have a big impact on things.
-
The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I meant that his budget should be around 10 billion in total. Of course I don't know what he's doing, but I've been spending 10 billion for everything I've been doing, for example the levees/flood control. Then there's the 80 billion military research, which should be one of the best in the field that I've researching, in the world. I mis-read the article. It said 2nd largest standing army in NATO, after the US.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
1.Oh, that makes sense. 2. As long as you can reasonably complete it with 10 billion or so. Oh, that reminds me. I saw this figure on Wikipedia that says that Turkey has the second largest standing army in the world. I have a feeling that's not right, but it was strange.
