I have a question for you, out of curiousity. Are there any political differences between Shiites and Sunni Muslims which could potentially damage the unification process? I don't really know anything about that, so you should look into it.

There are several flaws in your argument, which I will list out: -In 2009, Japan was just Japan. However, in 2016 (where we are now), Japan is Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Phillipines, Indonesia, and Yemen. That basically means that expansion is not as simple as 5 trillion to 10 trillion. It's the combination of several countries. Also noting another prime example: China. Expanding at nearly 8% last year, using recent trends, China would nearly double its GDP. Why hasn't the world crashed? I don't know...maybe it's because it doesn't cause the world to crash. Noting another prime example: Japan. In the middle and late 1900s, Japan expanded at the rate of an average of 10% yearly. That's right, 10%, peaking at around 13% at some points. Why didn't Japan crash and burn until the 1990s? (Asset bubble) It's because there isn't a historical precendent for what you claim as world destroying growth. During a few decades, the Japanese economy increased but several fold. I don't think the economy crashed because of it.

Errrrr, no? Lots of countries expand at 5% a year. Besides, if the currency begins becoming overvalued, that is when you print more money to devalue your currency. If what you say is true, then the world would be destroyed by now.

Fine. Since I posted 10 trillion GDP without objection, I will factor in a 5% growth rate for two years, leaving me with 11 trillionish GDP. ---------- EDIT: Using a 5% growth rate since 2009, my GDP would be 10.5 trillion. So I will just go with a growth rate of 5% and move from there.

Well it happened to Japan, before a decade of stagflation. :) ----------- EDIT: Keep in mind that most of the annexed countries were South Asian tigers, which were semi-developed economies with 10% growth yearly. Then couple that with the fact that Japanese companies have been given a leg up by the government, with pro business policies, and a short period of fabulous economic growth isn't unrealistic.

It doesn't need verification...it already exists today! (2009) If it's out on the internet, then it's probaly a few years behind anything the government has, so I think it doesn't need confirmation. I'll send it to him anyways though, one second. ------ Japan begins developing short-ranged stratos fighters, to combat the growing threat of unfeasible stratos bombers. They are expected to be completed within a few years, due to the massive research budget going into them, and their shorter range.

Or you could just use old-fashion techniques in a more efficient way to accomplish the same thing...at least until you figure the new ways out.

Except that it gets harder and harder to go up as you go along (there is less lift due to smaller air density), and you're using a fighter/bomber. Commercial aircraft are just that much bigger and don't need to swerve and duck like a fighter. Besides, there's no need to fire at a bomb before it gets near, which at the time will be very easy to shoot down with the billions I've put into the project. Not that hard to hit a bomb. --------- And I thought I pointed out why it is? Let's see... 7.5 Billion increasing 10% for 6 years is 13 billion. You pointed out that the growth is unsustainable, which is why I stated that it did not increase this year. However, if people vote to bring it back down, then growth will simply pick back up again. So either way it works. Either medium speed sustainable growth or short bursts of fast growth followed by slow growth, just like the Japanese economy did after world war 2.

Well Archi, if I am using your technology as a precedent, then the defences would already be completed. It was part of my very first project, though it's just entering the installation phase (you can't build something before you make it :P).

Don't you think that a plane would have a much problem getting to the stratos-sphere? Anyways, the defences are primarily to intercept the bombs, which would be much easier. ------------- Don't be silly Rocco. The method I'm using has already been tested and proven. You just have to figure out which one I'm using. :P

Well I can't tell you how I'm building my defences, because that would ruin the point. If you sent a spy, I could tell you how they looked.

Japan continues working on its defences, beginning phase three. This part of the project mainly focuses on anti-missle, anti-bomb, and anti-stealth aircraft defences. Furthermore, missles have been installed (phase 2) which are capable of shooting down stratos bombers within the area around them. Their accuracy isn't terribly great, but considering there are hundreds of these missles, stratos bombers will most likely be shot down. These will be improved to make them cheaper and more cost effective. (Can't let you have uber bombers :P) GDP growth was stagnant last year, due to a sudden freeze in government spending (excluding the surplus), remaining at 12 trillion. This is a result of a new goverment plan to reduce the deficit even further, from 170% to 80% today, to 80% to 40% as part of this plan. The GDP did not contract, due to extensive military funding as well as the continued development of Yemen and Indonesia, which were severely underdeveloped earlier.

It shouldn't be a really wide open ended question like: What are your plans and intentions for the next 50 years? I think that your idea is good, but the question needs to be more direct, like: What is blah blah blah doing in blah blah blah? Then you tell them what you told the people you sent there. Say that you sent them to attack a place, but you never told them you were attacking, then the spy wouldn't find out. It sorta gets confusing, so let's just use our best judgement.

Well then you have to begin a crusade to convince people to give them some of their low class military knowledge, at least what can be gleaned through observation. I think both sides are being unfair about it. It's much harder to get a spy into a top secret government facility than people think, but it's also much easier to get a spy into the country that people think. So if someone sends a spy, you can tell them what the spy observes and send them on their merry way. :P

I've already given people a "full" report of military stuff, at least the stuff that is logically visible to a low class spy. You also have to ask a few times, since it changes so often.

Germany already tried invading, but Switzerland destroyed the attacking force with mustard gas mines. ----- Japan stores the large surplus it has in a reserve fund, which contains funds which aren't spent from the surplus. So far, there is about 20 billion going into the fund yearly, with the rest spent on the usual.

Though the cars themselves are more expensive, and they lack the range of traditional vehicles. Also interesting is that Saab was bought out by Japan. :P

Not if the cost is greater than that of algae fuel. Algae fuel is also great because it can be installed into existing gas infrastructure quick and painlessly, since the precautions are exactly the same (no smoking, don't light matches)

There are two ways to enforce a decent monopoly: Goverment action and having such a large lead in technology, that you blow away your competition. I have taken mainly the first route, though I'm trying to maintain a large enough lead that I can use the second as well Are you sure Doom? Quality cars and cheaper gasoline? :P
