  2. Essentially make the territories roughly the same size. Russia would obviously have larger but less productive territories.

Archi wants you to decide I believe. I think you can choose 2 strenghts and come up with your own history.
  4. Can you help us balance our unit effects and such? Basically act like a mod at the beginning?
  5. I'm thinking real life nation, but there would be a few changes: 1. United States would be controlled by vagabonds and survivalists (very hard to destroy, so this is after all other territory is taken). 2. China is split into several warring states. 3. Russia becomes several warring dukedoms (Moscow, Minsk, Novgorod) Of course you could make your own history, but it would have to incorperate the changes in the map, such as splitting it.
  6. Often people claim that having a larger country makes you have bigger military. So if ..... New Guinea attacks America with a million troops, America will just say I have 50 million and crush them. That's the problem. Everything has to be relative.
  7. Well it would stop people from claiming super large countries and saying they are undefeatable. It also gives options for the peaceful player.
  8. No borders? That would make it incredibly difficult. What I was saying before is that someone who claims a big country should have negative random events pertaining to its large size.
  9. Hydrochloric acid would be useful, but smelly.
  10. No, Archi is taking a break! Tavern is doomed. :(
  11. No one really accused you of being biased on Hegemony. It was only when you became a ridiculous dictator on Alpha Centauri when that happened. If you played as a moderator and random events, everything will be fine.
  12. I'm just trying to say that it wouldn't be fair for someone to take a large empire like China and say that it defeats all other countries because it is bigger. Which is why I added the fact about a larger population but greater risk from random events. I think we already have something here Arch. We could just start, and you could moderate the stats of people's empires in case they are too far fetched.
  13. Probaly. The skin is all squishy, but like Ross said, there is no blood to move the poison around.
  14. Well, a basic framework of rules could be: 1. First you choose two technological specialties Air power (France) Surface Naval (Britain) Amphibious (Japan) China (Land) Etc Etc Each of those specialties could have a special unit of that kind. For example, maybe France has a unique kind of fighter, while China has a special kind of tank. 2. Then you could start claiming countries. I don't think France should have such large territory without some deficits, so maybe France could be in the midst of a civil war, where Greater France, Germania, Italy, and Austria-Hungary were separate nations. China could be split into Han, Qin, etc etc. -------------- After all that is done, people receive population based on their land area. The flip side to this is that the larger your land area, the more negative random events affect you (famines, plagues, drought, revolt). So be careful how much you start the game with. If you expand slowly in low population areas, then you'll be less at risk. The British empire could also be fracturing, and China could be in a state of civil war as well.
  15. You'd be playing as random events and pirates, so you couldn't exploit anything.
  16. Well why don't you post what you think the rules should be, then we can discuss. We need a framework ya know.
  17. So should we start up that new game? Everything starts up better on the weekends.
  18. *gets hit by Archi's mod bar* Continues to eat trout, then gives some to Ross to apoligize for being such an [wagon].
  19. *Points out Irony*
  20. Does that mean that I get my Deck D back? About that attacking thing, I was being sarcastic. <_<
  21. Retech replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
You're actually okay with it? Yay!
  22. I'm pretty sure that those things were far far far weaker than their ancient equivilants. Or at least he made them that way.
  23. His stats for Atlantis were about that of a heavy Battleship if I recall.
  24. Ah I see. My main concern is that I was going to win all of Deck C (probaly) anyways. I've also had to give up Deck B for this compromise, leading to a shortage of science rooms. That's why I'd still like Deck D. You already have 30+ red rooms. Summary: I gave up Deck B, so I could have all of Deck C. I would still like to have the top row of Deck D. ------------ If I decided to attack, I'd be doomed because you could just force field everything and I couldn't do anything about it. I think that's plenty of security. Also, I am flooding all my rooms and the decks which I completely control (G and C)
  25. *gives Kirby and Dusty a pet Penguin*
