  1. What happened to the Pathfinder?
  2. ^ Sanctimonious Nef. This is how you should've played lawful good. :D
  3. Winter Witch Probably any changes that occur with the background would likely be spells/hexes (evil vs good spells).
  4. Since the vote is pretty conclusive, can we start building/finalize? And when do you expect the first session to be?
  5. Well, it's only one word, so it's not a double. And it's not negative either.
  6. I'll be playing a Winter Witch actually. Edit: Or maybe a sorcerer. Hmm, tough decisions
  7. And so ends the quest. The protagonists, once a small band of petty pirates, now one of the greatest bands of adventurers that ever lived. From their humble origins as pirates, stranded on a kobold-infested island after the defeat of their benefactor, the enigmatic Captain Frega, they broke into their master's tomb and retrieved riches that fueled their expansionistic drives. Establishing a power base on the windward isles, the party terrorized the defenseless kobolds and participated indirectly in the genocide of their friends, the Duergar, in order to establish trade links with the Drow in the export of lucrative surface goods. However, their path to become the greatest adventurers of all time did not take the route of greed, but rather the lust for power. After gaining control of the Mwangi's tree of life, the party corrupted its magical energies to raise an army of undead, ironically to stop the necromantic organization, the Whispering Way. They teleported the undead army into Absalom, the capital of good on the material plane, theoretically to stop the march of the Whispering Way, but they've been duped. It was only a distraction for the Way to free their powerful leader, the Whispering Tyrant. But all was not lost, for the mighty necromancer, Garmund Twiceborn marched into the citadel to take the test of the Starstone and became a demigod, destroying the Whispering Tyrant and creating a powerful faction of his own, become Garmund Thriceborn, a god in his own right. Once subject to the weather and the waves, they have transcended such limitations and become the greatest BBEGs of their day. And so ends the first chapter of an epic tale for the ages.
  8. Actually I didn't have enough levels to put psionics in, unfortunately. They are actually very balanced. :) ------------ So unfortunately what's going on is that it turns out the first month of school was actually just a fluke and they are going to saddle me with a lot of work for the rest of the year. I probably won't be able to continue the campaign in a few weeks, but I would like to wrap up this particular story arc (perhaps this week, but I can spare a week or two after that if need be). If someone is willing to step in as GM (preference given to the Grim, Ross, and Archi as already experienced GMs), then I can share any notes that I have with them, since once this part of the arc is over, then it would be very easy for someone to just pick it up with the same characters but a different storyline. Alternatively, if someone wants to start up a new game/pathfinder campaign on Sundays (if they don't want to deal with the existing characters or if the world is just too f----- up to work with), that's cool too. That doesn't mean that I won't be around and such, but while GMing, one needs to be pretty consistent in terms of scheduling and pretty attentive, and that's probably not something that I could achieve at this point. ---- But session starts at 3pm like normal
  9. The Dragon cartridges work with a different system of misfire though, so the reliable enchantment does not affect using them.
  10. There are a few problems with that. With DPR, it is necessary to factor in other things. For example, the DC 15 Reflex save is basically achieved 80% of the time at this level, so would cut the damage output by 40% or so. In addition, the fire-arm gains the broken condition when it misfires, which is everytime you roll a 1 on one of those d6s. That further reduces the damage (I could do a statistical evaluation, but it takes it down further). Without accounting for that, we have 61.2 damage as the average damage. Personally I don't mind that you are discussing these things, as long as it doesn't spill over too much into the game. :) >Or if it does, maybe you could optimize a character concept that doesn't usually work with game mechanics, like a whip-using bard (I'm partial to whip using bards)
  11. Quick comment: Far-reaching sight specifies that you can make ONE shot. And regardless, BAB allows you to make more attacks with a full attack action, not full round actions (important distinction). Also Archi, I wouldn't mind doing some build dueling (even though conflict of interest, but still). Perhaps in that arena that you had before on Maptools. :)
  12. Sounds good. I'll need to sift through them on the weekend before that though. Do you plan to use it this coming session?

    Chroma

Where does the name Chroma come from?
  14. Most of these ideas would only let you locate the target, but they will likely still have concealment against you.
  15. You could probably ask Garmund about that. He seems to have something that does something relatively similar to what is going on there.
  16. I believe such a device already exists. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/c-d/crystal-ball = Even better
  17. Starting up in about an hour and a half (3pm EST). I'll be somewhat online in about an hour to answer questions and such.
  18. Everyone in the game levels together, so you guys have also leveled. Rewards for quests usually come in other forms, like loot or contacts or information.
  19. The Celestial/Fiendish Tiger is fine. I need to look at the monsters individually though, and if you can pick up existing monsters, even better, just so I can quickly look at balance. But it shouldn't be a big deal either way. The main thing is that summon nature's ally should still be a viable option as well, since summon monster already has a big variety. You guys are level 9, so prepared casters (cleric, wizard, druid) get level 5 spells but spontaneous casters are still a level behind on that.
  20. Most hormones are released by the part of the brain that you cannot consciously control. It's the same reason why you can't breathe past a certain point and have your lungs expand completely to their physical "maximum" size.
  21. It still depends on a vote of the rest of the player populace, so there are clearly defined limits. :)
  22. Given that Leiana can only play on Sundays, Archi prefers Sundays (and in my self interest, Nimbus), and the fact that we are already moving back to 3pm anyways, the sessions are moving back to Sunday at 3pm EST. My prior commitment ends at 2:30, so I won't be able to post an hour before like I usually like to do, but I'll post that morning.
  23. My vote will be entirely based on the old system. So if you follow the old system, I would automatically vote for things based on that system. :) If you'd (Archi) be willing to still give out exp/points like before, that would be nice.
  24. Which measure of central tendency are you using for "average"?
