  1. Starting at the regular time (in like 4 hours or so)
  2. Those are likely AD carries with some life steal (which basically every AD carry gets). They are probably the toughest to play as a new player (possibly tied with AP mid) because lots of it is knowing how to position yourself, since once you are vulnerable, you will basically get slaughtered.
  3. Ah, interesting. It is like DOTA (if you've played that before) except more flaming. Basically there are three main lanes that your minions walk along and fight other minions and between that, a jungle. You play a single character called a champion. There are generally a few roles, but the standard five person team is: AP Mid - Builds ability power, which increases the damage of "abilities", of which each champion gets four. Iconically they are "mages". Usually gets middle lane solo AD Carry - Builds attack damage, which increases the damage of the standard attack (which every champion gets). Usually squishy but is supposed to essentially win the late game. Usually bottom lane with the support Support/Tank - Essentially heals, buffs, etc the AD carry and babysits it until it can really be a threat. Often will have crowd control to stop the opponents from attacking and such. Usually bot lane Fighter/Solo Top/Tank - Takes the top lane and after leveling for a while, just charges into the fray first Jungler - The person who goes through the jungle and farms for levels and gold. Though jungles will usually level a bit slower than the other players, but their role is to leap out of the jungles to "gank" opponents and make their life a nightmare Of course there are variations on that, like many AP Mids are assassins that use both Ability power and attack damage, or some teams might end up not having a jungler and instead have two people in the top But that is basically the gist of it. Really most people end up having one main character or type of character, but it's good to learn a secondary role incase your first is already taken. For example, I usually play Tristina (an AD mid, a Yordle with a giant gun) but if that role is taken, I would then pick a character like Anivia or Veigar, which are AP mids Just one last note on the roles. Typically in the late game, there will be lots of teamfights (where the whole teams converge for all or nothing battles) and in the early game, people will usually fight people on the same lane. In the team fights, if you are an AD carry or AP mid, then you need to be very aware of where people are, because they will all generally try to target you given any opportunity. (Or even just wait in the bushes for your team to pass and then sacrifice themselves to take you down) So if you're just starting, probably would be good to play against the computer for a while and use some sort of fighter character
  4. For spellbooks, you take the number of spells that you get free (on the class description) Then each spell you want to scribe (assuming you have a spellcraft check to make it trivial) costs the same as a scroll of that spell. If you make the spellcraft check half the time, assume it costs double, a quarter of the time, quadruple, and so on. And 99% of the time, I don't do custom classes.
  5. If you run it by me, then I can look at them.
  6. I am here. Just got pulled for lunch a bit late.
  7. Has anyone asked Ross? Hmm, I think I will switch it to Saturday for now and see what happens. Just to be clear: Same time except on SATURDAY :)
  8. It seems reasonably split, so I think I will keep it at the same time but an hour later. I'll try to extend the back-end of the session though, if possible.
  9. Clarification: New characters start with WBL one below that of the party and receive no additional boons. Leadership (the feat) is being replaced by Leadership (the roleplaying). If you currently have leadership as a feat, you may switch it out to another feat. Also I have something starting up on Sundays, so the current time for WIndward overlaps with that a bit. So I have two options: 1. Same day but start an hour later 2. Switch Windward to Saturday If anyone can't do Saturday, I will go with the first option, but the second one would result in a longer session. Comments?
  10. Whenever a different spell with the same name is published, it overrides the previous spell. So generally not, but if you ran it by me, then we can talk about it.
  11. :) I can handle any combat during the session, as intersession stuff isn't normally done anyways.
  12. So as for the plans to summon/create a major undead, that is something that you can progress through dedicated research or exploring knowledge from ancient libraries or getting it from people, or some combination of the three. And since these creatures are not normally created through normal magic (more epic level), there are often instructions that are rather vague or need to be tweaked, so that is something good to experiment on and actually develop instead of just throwing money at it. :)
  13. Everything is retroactive in Pathfinder. And typically you would increase spell DCs by increasing your bonus in the attribute. (For wizards, intelligence) And most certainly it does, if it wants to have any pretension of being a major power.
  14. Thessalmonster can only be added to a magical beast with more than 5HD though.
  15. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/bottle-of-air
  16. Nef, I will get back to you about the various changes regarding the undeadening. Please don't make changes to your character sheet until then, and I will try to get back to you soon.
  17. Starting in 25-30 mins like usual. Join #Windward for the exiting conclusion to the escape from the Shackles and clutches of the mysterious followers of Dahak. Also last week was an exception in going that long, especially since school has started, I will be running it for the traditional length.
  18. Sounds like an alchemist to me. It's like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde

My idea: In the wake of the spillway explosion, parts of London were inundated by flooding as water poured into the sewers from the river Thames. When things looked to be resolved though, the structure of the entire spillway collapsed, sending millions of gallons of water into the already flooded sewers. Essentially all of London's streets are underwater by a few feet. The mysterious rumors of sewer monsters prove correct, as all manner of creatures pour out of the sewers. To their credit, London's brave police force attempt to drive them back, but most perish and government authority collapses. As the flood waters retreat, the monsters are forced back into the sewers, but the damage is done. Within the power vacuum, many factions emerge to try and gain power. Among them, the various ethnic groups, the remnants of the London police force, wealthy nobles, criminal syndicates, and others vie for power. Gameplay Changes: Essentially, the setting is the main change, but since the law is only one of many factions now, disobeying the law would not be cause for permadeath. Instead, it is more about being true to your character that is the check to being ridiculous.
  20. Or if it's a matter of the strength of the dye instead of the color, you could try adding more.
  21. It looks sorta pink.
