  1. Addendum: Elgretor's thing happened a day or two before Grim arrived After Elgretor identified the artifact, was when it was stood on The two saves were will (since he interacted with the illusion) and fortitude for the touch, which was slay living. :) For Sedrial: Once you decide where you'd like to look for adventure or if you are not really sure, please tell me and I will plan something.
  2. So unsurprisingly, the level 7 wizard did not defeat the CR 15+ encounter. As he is a heathen non-kobold, he was not treated to the proper funeral and cremation, but instead dumped unceremoniously into the sea, where he seemed to cheat death and found himself awake an indeterminate amount later, floating among the debris of the destroyed Shackles.

Basically the vote for point buy came before the vote over whether we would be playing the original Dungeoneering. However I was under the impression that the original Dungeoneering had already been rejected. So basically my stance was Original Dungeoneering (Dungeoneering) > Other game (Point-buy) > New Dungeoneering (Dungeoneering) Except the voting did not really account for my preference. But regardless, this game is very good and surpassed my expectations, so I am just as interested in this game as the original Dungeoneering

Well, it was a rather complicated endeavor, but basically I would've voted against point buy if it were Dungeoneering, but really, looking at this system, I really like it and am in favor of it. Given that I am probably the most stubborn person here when it came to continuing Dungeoneering and I came around after I actually put pen to paper and tried out the system, I'm sure that you would like it too.
  6. It would work. Alternatively you could tie the rafts together in a straight line behind you and move at a slower rate. As long as the rafts didn't flip over, the bodies would be fine. And I believe so.
  7. Well, you could tow maybe 4 or 5 on the way there, but if you wanted the rafts to stay level so you could pile the bodies, probably more like 2 (avoiding storms). Also I made a small mistake with the calculation of ship speed, so it actually should take only one day to the Shackles (and half a day to the middle island).

Suggestion for Setting: 1880s Boer War in South Africa You've got the big city (Johannesburg) as well as many smaller settlements You've got the British regulars in their camps (one possible starting place) You've got the Dutch settlers resisting them And you've got the hapless natives Also the great expanse of the African plain, and South Africa has lots of different climates and terrains

*Retech seal of approval* --- There was never really a "vote" on point buy, or I would've vociferously opposed it at the time. :P

Original Dungeoneering (and what that entails). Or a genius new setting. I can't really give any comment on this genius new setting, because I do not know of any that I am particularly interested in.

#Nimbus is up for all of this stuff. I assume there would be nothing against discussing that too.

Dead-set is different from support for the idea. :P

It has penalties for bringing up one skill rather than a multitude of skills. It does not limit power, only certain playstyles

Also, if you notice, my lack of support for the new system is not self-motivated, because my magical stats are relatively average and would actually gain a big boost from a parity level calculation.

Recall that Dungeoneering did not "burn out", but ended because the two original moderators could not continue it (and then I wrecked game balance after that, but anyways). It was great up to the point that Ross had to leave in the original, so I think that would be an excellent place to start off. Recall the elements that made Dungeoneering successful: 1) Player-driven plot 2) Player interaction and dynamics (All voluntary interaction) I think after we started Dungeons and Dragons, the perception switched to more of a group-activity teamplay thing, which is a good system, but doesn't work so great for the Tavern playing Dungeoneering. The great thing about the original Dungeoneering was that it was about exploration and finding new knowledge (which does not necessarily equate to exp, as we saw). There's no reason that Dungeoneering cannot continue in that vein today. (By today, I mean, currently, but next week, because this is just a discussion session tonight). I already articulated the reasons to Archi before, but I thought I'd just post here. Also rivalry and conflict are not necessarily a bad thing, which basically drove Dungeoneering for a long time. *insert Pokemon theme song here*
  16. So 80% sure I will be good to go on Sunday, but if my mom pulls me out suddenly, is there any time that would be good for a makeup session? Also based on certain suggestions from a person, I will be giving out the option to take certain feats from Libris Mortis as a "knowledge" reward if you guys decide to study deeper into certain magical arts. Of course, lots of different avenues of knowledge for anyone that decides to go looking.
  17. Osteomancy and Akyromancy. Though the former should fall under Biomancy and the latter under Choromancy. As flesh was just a common denominator for body mass and a void is the most pure form of space. They are actually both unique magics that I gained access to. :) Also void vs Akyro.
  18. *Slow clapping*
  19. I had to read "beyond sensical" to try and get what Mather was saying. The thing is that I don't know Greek and would rather not have to consult a table every time. Could you translate bone magic or void magic?
  20. Well given enough support, we can actually go ahead with Dungeoneering. But Mather, how about the doctors that are trying to help their patients understand instead of talking down on them with medical terminology?
  21. I thought it was the good ol' Dungeoneering.
  22. So Archi was talking about restarting the original Dungeoneering, if there was enough interest. Thoughts?
  23. Thank goodness.
  24. I'm just going to use my old character and add +5 experience for the time that we've had in Dark Heresy, based on the number of sessions and the average leveling rate of the party as a whole. Scratch the psyker powers of new, let's rock Dungeoneering old school. We are much closer than we were before to the snowcapped mountain that we were questing to earlier. Interested?
  25. That probably proves that I've interrupted you from your gaming. :)
