Thanks for the info onthe weps... Really concerned about this tbh...anyone help out please? I don't want to play this skill for 1000 days to get these new weapons if I don't have too...

Hey guys. I have around 40m in pure cash at the moment, and have noticed all weapons and armour crashing from these new reward weapons. As seen in my other topic, I plan on bossing for cash eventually...I don't want to get a dfs/spec when they've been outdated by these new things... Basically, is now a good time to invest in armour/weps, which would be best to try and get, will bossing still remain viable for cash as well as older equipment? Is everything (godswords, whip, spirit shields) obselete because of this? I dunno what to do... Also, what speeds are the new weapons? EDIT: New question: Should I go for solo bandos or solo armadyl gear? If I buy anything now it's something i'll want to solo with in the future.

Woah, trippy... How about we keep both sides happy? I kill something that doesn't require a 1337 connection but still profits (So, perhaps for example, meleeing blue dragons?) till about 85 melees, then I buy whatever herby/range level with the cash i've got then, then slay for a while? I might put my own 2c into my own thread: I want (In this order) Cash > Buyable skills (Range, Herby, Prayer) > Combat Skills w/o summoning > Summoning > Bossing I suppose the order could be tweaked if that sounds a little too unrealistic at the moment... Let's do a whole 180 and rule out slayer for now. What's next?

Ugh...seems to be pointing towards slayer at the moment (Not that it seems to make any money), but the exact methodology is lost on me :( No 80 herby if i go slaying now, either :(

I haven't brought anything yet. Let's say that I sell my collected resources and take that 7.5m outta kingdom, and get 80 herby. Would that be worth it, or earn some more cash first? What should i do with the super antifires? Camp greens for more cash? (I'd love to train herby, just not sure what way to approach it: Cash first, then get it in one go, or do it in steps)?

As far as I was always made aware, it's your gear that matters...so it really is stats? I thought all those little bonuses wouldve added up..you wouldn't go armadyl in snakeskin with an addy cbow and a rune kite, for instance. So should I just powerlevel before doing anything else? I'm more concerned about cash then exp at the moment (I could buy 99 range/Mage, for instance) and cannoning seems to reduce your profit... I'm so confused now...I can't tell who's trolling and who's serious...

I'd be looking for range exp, hence the combo of rune chow and anti dragon shield. Nowdays, is money making basically limited to high level barrows/gwd/td's?

Ugh... So many mixed messages. At the moment, until a conclusion is reached, it won't hurt to train and get some cash. Probably ranging at green dragons.

I am also curious - I will be slaying to 79 summon then want to burst lobs to 88.

Does karils look like dropping anytime soon?

So all up, my slayer gear will cost around 15m. No good luck (no visage drops, ect) assumed, how much will I make getting to about all 90 combats? Also, range/melée metal drags?

Will I break even from slayer using that setup? No repairs that way :) I hate losing cash and like to have it in money or stable assets. I'd ideally like to profit and slayer hasn't been all that kind to me :(

Slayer helm + t plate/legs + k top/bottom + zs + whip + 100 of each base pot + d boots comes out close enough to 20m. Woot! Is that good enough gear? Could I have a concensus on whether to piety/cannon every task? :( Also, could I just wear black dhide and borrow a ss/zs for fiend tasks and save me 10m?

2p4p is too poor for pants. Last time I got a d skirt over d legs, I got trolled to kingdom come for being too poor to get d legs (although I could). I get crashed every task, once or twice. Without maxed gear, people just ignore you. Also, I have noticed tasks are rather slow without cannon/piety.... I can't find any people around my level and my cash at all ingame, so I suppose any advice I get could be wrong... Although, It would still cost me 50m+ to get dfs, zs, torags plate/legs, fury, full karils, d boots, slayer helm, lbs, warrior ring, whip, ect. And still about 10m in pots (prayers, super sets, antifires, pouches, food) Edit:Point, it's taken me 5 years to get 75 slayer. I know that you can slay with basically nothing, but it goes so slow it's not funny. I'm talking about getting more then 2 tasks done a day...

I need Zs for fiends tasks, Lbs for metal dragon tasks, Karils for Bloodveld tasks, dfs also for dragon tasks, Bandos for melée gear (anything under bandos is not worth it, I've heard) Fury (glory is the 2p4p d skirt of today, so I've heard), whip for general use, zerker for best ring, cannon/piety/pot every task. Slayer isn't worth it otherwise, so I've heard. I also need about 5m in Cannonballs, 10m in pots for startup.

70m short of decent gear? Whip, rune defener, dragon boots and of course the slayer helmet are the only essentials. You can wear welfare gear in nearly all the other spots without compromising a lot on speed. (full bandos + fury + fire cape + zerker is not that much better than rune/barrow/dragon/granite legs/plate, glory, SW cape and warrior ring). Knowing this, you can get very decent slayer gear for under 10m. Bandos and DFS are far overrated. You are 300m short from the real slaying though (turmoil, soul split and extremes); but that is not an issue of gear. 70m more would get me enough to piety/super set each task, fury, zerker, zs, full karils, d boots, slayer helm, full bandos and perhaps dfs. Those are the absolute minimum for slayer, iirc.

I plan on training Slayer for melee. I'm about 70m short of decent gear, though, so i'm trying to make that before going back to combat. Lowc, I wouldn't expect a boss to be really profitable at these stats...I was looking for the minimum needed for decent bossing (So i knew my approx. length of training) Yarred, I would also like a guide on DKs, I've had more then one offer to go to them in a team with some friends. Point, I'm not surprised. I'd called Turmoil and Overloads insane....:P rahz, I have a feeling that's not the case...>_<

So, I'm looking into the wonderful world of bossing now that I've found a good money maker that can lag with me and I've got my training sorted. At the moment, my stats are in my sig, and I have about 30m of useable cash (don't want to take the 7.5m outta my kingdom if I can help it). I want to know a few things about bossing for cash: -Tds. What are the minimum levels and gear requirements needed to get a decent amount of kills/hour? (ie: profit). -Armadyl. What are the minimum levels and gear requirements to get around 2/3 solo kills/trip? (I hear 3 kills a trip is pretty good for solo gwd, anything over is insane). -Bandos. Same as arma. Again, please keep in mind I only have 30m ATM, and I'm trying to boss for cash. As somewhere to start, I was talking to a guy who agrees that I'd need about 500m to make before going solo arma for 2 kills/trip or so. Verac's helm, apl, acp, fury, ranger boots, spectral, onyx ring (I), 90+ range, 90+ Mage, 90+ defence, 92 prayer, (extremes if you can) and 88 summon. I know how to get all those levels (except charms for summon) but the cash requirement seems a little...out of reach. That's 500k fungus to pick >_<. I only want to do solo if possible, as finding a permanant team of friendly people on at the same time I am at around the same leeks isn't easy, plus getting kc takes longer. Thanks. Sorry for the bump, but... I've found that i've a lot of spare time often sitting around at the ge while waiting for my kingdom to collect or my herb timer to go off. I do fletch my broads, but I get really bored after i've done them...Is there anything that i can just do sitting at the ge? Someone mentioned in my other topic that Stringing Unfinished bows is a good idea. What about something like making unf pots out of clean herbs? Just something that i could do at the ge (or at a bank, so i could use a magpie) that i'd make a bit of profit doing?
