  1. Glad to know i'm not the only one :P Romu, It sounds like you're really a DIY person. I can't do that, as I see something like "Craft 10k orbs, then enchant 10k orbs" and I just freak out...:P It sounds like slayer really is the way to go, though, but at the moment i do need better gear...(Sorry to hijack my own thread, but is 75 slayer for my combat skills low? :S) Laga, I didn't even consider Superheat or stringing unstrungs. Thanks for that. Point, I suppose let's use your logic here (Considering that it's flawed, as you always have the potential to get more herbs/patch) Avantoes are like 5k ea atm, seeds are 4k. Snaps are 20k? at the moment, seeds are 90k. For avantoes, 5k by 30 gives 150k, -20k is 130k. For snaps, 20k by 30 is 600k, -450k is 150k. Guaranteeing that one seed dies per run, as usually happens for me, snaps lose money :(
  2. Well, I've decided to become a real Scrooge, as I've been rather loose with my money as of late. I've been doing kingdom, farming, and fletching broads daily. I'm out to continue this scheme, and once again I put my pride aside and beg help from those much wiser then I. First, I put 10 on herbs and 5 on raw fish in kingdom. 7.5m cash in there at the moment, so I'm not losing there. When I check it daily to collect resources, I raise approval back up to 100% for the next day. Is this optimal? For farming, I plant Marigolds with normal compost and avantoes with supercompost. I'm by and large not Interested in snaps/ranarrs, as if one dies I lose epic cash. I plant nothing in the allotment patches. Every 2 runs, I do a fruit tree run and get papayas from them. At the end of every run, I pick my 3 cactus spines. I have access to troll patch. Is this optimal? Is there anything else I should be planting? Should I be making supercompost somehow? For Dailies, I buy 3k unf broads and 3k feathers from stores and fletch them. I only want dailies that actually sell (Bert and arnheim, I'm lookng at you...you too zaff), could I have some help here? For magic, having just reached 77 I'm interested in a way that I could train that could bring in exp and a little cash at the same time. Examples I've heard of include Superglass make, charging air orbs, and b2p tabs (I have both the spell and the lecturn). Given I value time very low due to my sporadic playstyle (75k or less an hour sounds right), which of these sort of things is most effciant and what is the best way to do them? For herblore, I've taken a look into cleaning herbs...and found it to b rubbish. Cleaning them and trying to sell, even putting them into vials and trying to sell, barely ever breaks even, let alone profiting. Is there a guide on what to do for this? I've tries ranarrs, toadflax and irits so far. For general use, is it worth spending a little time at stealing creation for their respective tools? For fletching, given that maple longs u acually sell for alching now, and make a decent profit, is it worth fletching them? Are there better alternatives that make cash down the track? Nothing that'll kill my hands, ease (3k broads a day is bad enough, lol. ) For cooking/fm, what is the most efficiant (ie fastest keeping in mind cost, or least costly keeping in mind speed) way of doing these? I need 80 and 75 in these respectivly. Thanks.

I love the fact that you guys are waiting time crafting arguments about efficiancy. Doesn't anyone see the irony? :P If you feel like you're hitting accuratly, use a zerker. Feel you're not hitting enough, use a warrior. It's a game anyway - with the exception of major things, a player's going to go for what's subjectivly better. Like has been brought up so many times, the bonuses are so small it's not worth getting foamed and trolled over. Like the meme says, irl is a waste of xps. If you're arguing about efficiancy, just forget it and play the damn game :P OP: Fero in Kuras, whatever ring suits you outside. Rol if you lag, Row if you want like 5k extra a task, Zerker if you lack powah, Warrior if you miss as much as a drunk guy playing darts.
  4. I've decided to rc, as well as occasionally fletch broads to sell, while farming/MTKing. How does that sound? I'll have to pull out half my house, though, so i don't lag too badly :(
  5. Camping Bandos statues and Living rock creatures is a good idea, if you're looking for melée exp instead of ranged. Just make sure to bring a chisel to chip gems into bolts. Also, I've heard mighty banshees are the melée equivilants of aviansies, dropping heaps of runes and noted pure ess
  6. Sshh.... :P I'm testing greens to see if range can ks some people, if not I'll look into merching, fletching broads, and runecrafting.
  7. Bossing and running around splurging money like a madman interests me. Making money is the annoying bit. I know about most of the consistant methods...I was hoping not to have to resort to rcing or mining coal, though. They really annoy me. I also know not of these weaker, semi profitable monsters of which you speak.
  8. Actually, merching doesn't sound half bad...I just have no idea how to do it, as I always sell for minimum and buy for maximum on the ge, and I have a hard enough time getting supplies as it is.
  9. Ah, it would be fletching broads? Also, I'd love to range blues, as mentioned in the last post...I just don't know how to go about it.
  10. I did nomad on my lag free computer. My attempts kept me up till 3am, and my victory celebrations at gwd kept me up another 24 hours... My access to that computer has been compromised :P How would you profit fletching? Also, I can't do greens....revs are too risky with lag, and I can't get kills. Blues are an option, but I dunno how to do them or anything. Edit: I'll look into enchanting bolts, I was looking to train Mage anyway. As for sinister chest runs, I vaguely remember something from Runescoop. How would I go about that?
  11. Hm, I'll start looking into that, since I have boots 3 and a decent amount of startup. To give you an idea of how laggy I am: -Gwd is out of the question, even with a team. Something I can pray against that only uses one style, a little damage on the side is ok (have sw cape now :D) an example is barrows and under intensive. -switching loading screens alot totally kills my connection.
  12. Due to an unfortunate series of events, for a while I'm limited to a laggy laptop. Connection is laggy at best, sketchy at worst. I need a way to make decent money...semi-afk methods or just risk free methods prefered... I'll do farming runs about 2 hourly, depending on access to the computer. I'm only expecting about 200k/hour absolute tops... If someone could help me out, that would be great. I have 30m pure startup cash at the moment.

Ok guys, what's happening? After beating nomad today and getting my sw cape, i was overjoyed! To celebrate I went tanking zammy gwd with some friends, and wasted heaps and heaps on brews/restores. So, i'd normally slay my way outta this mess, but i'm willing to risk doing slayer while i'm maxed if it means i can get a little richer now. So, here's what i've got now in the way of equipment (stats are in sig) For the sake of simplicity, assume that i have no other worth (tbh, i don't). This is my plan so far: 1) Go pc and get full void (melee/range) 2) Go train somewhere i can abuse my sw cape (was thinking monkeys in ape atoll dungeon with salve ammy (e)) till 85 melees 3) Range green dragons or something till 85 range 4) Go slay tds for massive cash/profit So, i've got a few questions: 1) Is void worth it? 2) I need to make some money, preferably with combat. I always lose the kill at greens. Any alternatives, with the budget that's there? (won't sell bgs unless i really need to) 3) Does my plan sound good? Should i camp wfs for a little while in between so i can get 79 summoning? 4) In the ways of big cash (so, bossing in other words :P) what alternatives do i have for TDs? I'll ask more questions as i need them. I'm off for tonight, see ya.
  14. I need to know this before my trip to GWD tonight with some friends... Is there any case in which a Godsword would outdo a whip in, in regards to Damage per Second? I mean, it's got massive bonuses, but lacks in speed. I'm going Zammy, and i'd either be using a BGS or a whip + god book.
  15. How exactly does turmoil work? Does it instantly boost up to the max stats when you start fighting? Does it increase over time? I'm a little confused :S Does the same work with Leech/Sap curses? Can someone help me out?
  16. I keep all those runes in my invent for alchs and for regular farming runs - i never have to bank for too long then. I'm looking at going for a Soul Wars Cape once i get all 85s, or at least a little before. I'm a little too nervous for Nomad, Imo. I don't think i'd be able to beat him >_< I'm on LRC at the moment. I might try pietying them - Great exp they are, but damn they're a long one. Any other tips?
  17. Well, I guess this is what i'll do for now. I trust you guys can look over this and give me a leg up with my plan? (To fill in randomly: I spent like 15m doing up my house, only to have it lag like all hell. I'm deleting half of the rooms >_> Whenever time allows, i'll do this.) 1) Continue Money Making until I have enough to afford this setup without selling my BGS (The passive income is too good to pass up): Slayer Helm, Glory, Ardy Cape 3, Guthan's Plate, Verac's Skirt, Dragon Boots, Barrows Gloves, (Life/Warrior Ring depending if on laggy laptop or not, Fero Ring in Kura's dungeon), Whip, Rune Defender. Also invest in Karil's Top/Bottom, Zamorakian Spear, Cannon, 100 Full super sets, 50 Prayer Potions, 50 Antifire Potions, 50 Super Antipoisons, 100 Bunyip pouches, 20 War Tort pouches. Switch back to normal prayers. 2) Slay with this method: Approaching the end of tasks, place 10% Str Prayer on. Cannon Kalphites/Daggs/Spectres (I haven't unlocked Scarabites, and Don't know where to go for Mutated Bloods. I have done the quest, though.) Always keep this stuff in inventory: Slayer Gem, Laws, Fires, Nats, Airs, Earths, Waters. Bring Pure sets on every task, full super sets on tasks that I can't keep up with (Living Rock Creatures, Hellhounds, ect.) 3) Once I get to 85+ all melees, train Range and Mage to 85. Decide with assistance whether to continue slayer for now or hunt TDs for some cash. Sound like a plan?
  18. As you can see from the discussion, I have a pathetically pathetic cash pile. Is it worth cannoning Bloodvelds and abberents for fast easy exp at a huge cost? Also, should I use up my prayer at the beginning or end of a task?
  19. How much starting cash do you have? To be honest, with such a (relativly) low range level, there's not much you can do for guaranteed profit... You could get that up and try Tormented Demons, though.
  20. Wow, this exploded overnight. Is it worth switching back from curses to normal prayers just to use 10% str on tasks until your prayer runs out? In regards to the cannoning...I assume you're talking about mutated bloodvelds, which I know nothing about. As for your other points...I'll take another look once I've rolled out of bed. :P
  21. I would either keep going with slayer, or kill something that you can camp (ie: stay for a very long time at). I apologize for the dodgey response, I'm not up with all the new training spots. If you are looking for exp, I would take a look at experiments, rock crabs or something from the stronghold of security. If you are looking for a bit of money on the side, I would stick with hill giants or take a look at baby blue dragons. Banshees in the slayer tower are another good alternative. Pick up and bank things like big bones, baby dragon bones and all herbs (use the Guam and tarromin yourself to level up herblore). If you are simply looking for something you never have to worry about dieing to, competing with someone else for, or that is not click intensive, I would try the elemental under the seers village building next to the bank. I trained from about your levels to 60+ all levels there and only saw one other person the whole time, and he was doing the quest. Don't expect a huge infusion of cash from there, though. Feel free to add me on runescape, I have some assignments to do over the next few days but am happy to help you out ingame at most times :) EDIT: I would strongly reccomend getting a set up similar to these options. I have no idea about your budget, so I'll post them from best to worse, and pick out what suits you. Amulet of glory > amulet of power > amulet of strength. Rune full helm > rune medium helm > addy full helm Rune Plate > Rune Chain Rune Legs > Rune Skirt (the same bonuses but cheaper) > addy legs Rune Kite > Rune Square > Addy kite. Rune scimitar > Rune weapons in general. Any cape will do you fine at the moment Use the best lumbridge ring you can, it could help you with drops if you can use the low-alchemy function. For boots, Rune boots > Addy boots > Climbing boots. EDIT2: Damn iPhone. If there's any grammatical or spelling errors, sue me.
  22. I really would say ditch it tbf, but I have never used a BGS therefore don't know how useful it can be. But from other people I hear that GS's only really should be used for speccing on slayer tasks and WF's. And you have kind of contradicted yourself on it because you said in your first post of the topic "after realising I wouldn't use it any time soon" Therefore why buy it back? Whip + defender obviously outstrip the killing rate of a BGS for slayer. 2nd tip is to switch back to normal prayers and pray piety with a verac skirt and prosy top combo. It's only 1 less prayer than prosy top and legs, but alot more defence. Piety beats curses until you can soul spit and turmoil. 3rd If you don't struggle with your setup then fine, but I would advise torags top due to the defensive bonuses; however if you cope easily with guthans top, then I don't see why not. For the mean time, I'm sitting around doing nothing....I'm currently using my bgs as passive income, same as farming. I've had a think about it, and I might make dedicated cash ranging greens or blues for a little while, then go for my slayer gear and slay/farm to 85 melees. After that, I'll see how my cash and charm piles are looking, then I might go tormented demons.... I refuse to cannon or piety any tasks just because it speeds them up. In the short term, it's too much visible loss, and I don't know how to pray flash. In regards to cannoning...I don't know how to cannon effectivly. I know there's a little more too it then setting up your cannon and watching it go. Also, cannonballs are so expensive nowadays.... So, for those who are lost (irl I'm a little over the place, so bear with me): 1) Lend out bgs, farm, kill dragons for a while (in order to train range). 2) Get killer gear consisting of: guthans plate, verac's skirt, fury, sh, whip, ardy cape 3 (it's been bugging me for ages, may as well do it >_<), zs. If there's anything I missed, feel free to correct me. 3) Slay to 85 melees. 4) check cash, get summon up, decide at that point whether to try gwd/td's or keep slaying.
  23. Well, I guess you guys have convinced me. Sticking with slayer is the way to go. I'm working on a side goal of all skills 60+ at the moment. For that reason, I've gone back to my trusty bgs. I didn't lose any money trading it back, however. I wear ardy cape 2 because I have no better cape, and often pray berserker through most tasks - my previous setup consisted of a guthans plate and verac's skirt. Is this a good alternative? I don't plan on selling my bgs any time soon - I have a trusted friend who can lend me a ss or a zs for any fiend tasks, and I have black dragonhide. I use farming as a good source of passive income, and the bgs will only help that (lending it out). I brought it for one of the lower prices, 25.2, so if you guys strongly advise ditching it and going back to good slayer gear, I'll wait till a merch clan goes at it - unless one of you richer guys are feeling generous.... :P
  24. I have 75 summoning banked at the moment. I have hit the cancel button on my karils and ZS for the time being. So far, I have used slayer as my primary source of melée exp and charms, but as I get to the harder tasks it's taking longer and longer to get kills. Slayer is in my eyes worth it in the long run, but due to the aformentioned reasons idk if I should take a break or not. I'd like to eventually end up bossing, but to profit decently I need way better stats and gear. I'd like to amass 70m+ total worth, 80+ prayer and 79 summoning for the short term, as then I could slay decently effectivly. Long story short: looking for melée exp/charms/cash short term, slayr exp long term, bossing longer term. EDIT: I was also thinking of getting 80 cooking and camping waterfiends for a while, if that's any help.
  25. Hello, So I just brought/sold a BGS after realizing that I wouldn't use it anytime soon. I decided to upgrade my equipment for slayer, and ended up with this (close to total worth) Not pictured in the pic (sitting in my ge box waiting to be sold): Zamorakian Spear, Karil's Top/bottom. I usually bring a Rune Defender on slayer tasks. So, I've got a few questions: 1) I don't like leaving cash around in, well, cash. I prefer to have it in items, so i can use it. After my Zamorakian Spear, Karil's Top and Bottom sell, what should I do with the resulting 12m? 2) Slayer is starting to grind on my nerves a little. I've stuck it out 5 levels and ended up with enough to buy a BGS, but I'm looking to get enough melee experience and charms to start doing something like God Wars or Tormented Demons for a little more profit to get good gear, in order to slay more effectivly. 3) That said, I am a little lacking for cash at the moment. Is there anything I could do with my current amount of money that wouldn't mind the occasional D/c, in order to make money? (So nothing to heavily involved in danger, hence why I bring RoL on slayer assignments)? Green Dragons are sadly not an option, I firmly believe that the only way to make cash with them is piety them with a big bad combat familiar in the chaos tunnels. 4) What changes could I make to my gear to make it better? I do not range/mage any assignments, and I'll be obtaining my own Full Slayer Helm from drops. I'll drop/add more questions as needed. Thank you very much for your help.
