Ross, it disabeled the field which was stopping the comm blockage. If we ran a test on it using an EMP like the last one and a quick missile barage at it, then maybe you'd agree?

The EMP disabeled it's absorbtion field, which absorbed the sun. Big enough bomb can knock it out long enough for a shot.

Ross, next course of action is to get a suitable weapon to blow the blob to explosive firey HELL. Or use gravity to warp its fields and form into a more managable size.

I may try Tibia again, but it doesn't interest me much.

Rig a shuttle as an EMP, set it to detonate on contact with that thing. It'll get us a clearer contact with whatever is still surviving on that, but if it's waht i think it is... Then the planets are gone. The ships will be the only thing left.

Earths Log: Well, looks like that wasn't too bright. my little fiasco with bashing the asteroid with my hammer woke up an anchient friggen.. Thing.. That eats EVERYTHING. I got my ass handed too me, so did one of our science officers, and the Kirby got damaged. Lordy, that took a lot of doing to fix. Anyways, after i fell asleep.. And woke up, i found out EVERYTHING went to hell. Our friends the Descar got eaten, so did the main star, and all the planets. I tried tossing a hammer, null space grenades, and an EMP at it. The EMP got us a flicker on the comms, but nothing more serious.. We're running like hell to try and get some distance. I hope i can set up an EMP big enough to establish a better connection with whatever is left alive in there.

I've been going over something in my head, but the tank idea just made it a bit clearer, Gravity Cannon. fires shots that morph targetinto a gravty hotspot, crushing it and things nearby into a nice fine paste.

Nex, here's a detriment, the fact that it can't be built easily, it's SLOW, and if it's your only weapon you'll be [bleep]ed if someone wears rubber. And the fact that the wires can be broken, which mans a good sniper can shoot ther wires while the shots are out.

You know, i'm doubting the logic of starting this conversation up when the game isn't going to happen.

And there's a flaw in my argument, especially if we're talking something as unweildy as a shotgun or RPG.. But in all honesty i'm going to engineer a situation, if it's going to be set in medival times, that will prevent people from using guns that early. It's not fair, nor is it usefull to have the game ended in 5 days.
