What would you say is the average drop rate for them? I've killed around 200 and so far nothing. =S So far I'd have to say you're being quite unlucky, although spookily similar to me. I killed 250ish with no drops, then after that I've been getting maybe 1 drop per 70 kills. As for the DDS, my only spec' weapon is Korasi's which clearly would be terrible at the mages, so I needed a spec weapon. Max GE offers didn't get me a DDS so I took a 24 hour loan from my friend. EDIT: Hah, spookily synchronised The Lad.

Operating the top while wearing a full set is a new emote, as mentioned previously. Apart from that I don't think it does anything. As the name ceremonial suggests, they're probably just for aesthetics.

Did you buy the Ceremonial, or kill mages for it? I'm currently going for 2 full sets (One for DenDen <3: ) via the KC Room, got: 2 masks, 2 boots (two pairs, not one!) and a top. Looks REALLY nice imo, particularly with my Untrimmed Dungeoneering - the shoulders fit it nicely. Unspam when I get the next drop :-P

With the Conservatives in power, I'm all for V Masks. And with Stomp: his red phase has been bypassed a few times for me in C1's recently, think he's a bit glitched. So, I want ceremonial top/bottoms, maybe the mask too.... after over 300 kills <_< I get....boots. :wall: EDIT: Look at the time on my RS Toolbar :wink:

I was mass-refreshing to see if any names I recognised came up, when one did... Mine. :| I don't fully understand the implications of what the return would bring, and will be sure to ask someone later when I'm out of my state of shock. This voting system is ridiculous, but hilarious at the same time. They way I see it; theycannot have made such a bad voting system which is stupidly biased to "yes" if they don't have a very nice plan of how to do it. The fact that the vote will pass, if it isn't called off, is certain, it's more a question of whether they truly know what they're doing that worries me.

I personally got my defender on my first kill, the small cyclops spawned as I walked in and attacked me. I stayed for another 15 minutes trying for a Cyclossus kill, but never got one and decided I could go back for a mask after it settles down.

Without this wonderful fansite I doubt I'd personally be playing, or atleast as much as I do at the moment. I often play just to have a picture I can post on the screenshot thread, or to try out a method I see in the AOW. Plus, I wouldn't have met DenDen <3: , so my RS life would be boring, even if I did still play. To answer the question: Yes, the fansites are made as a consequence of a game's popularity, but they create wider communities that don't necessarily have to play the game; the amount of people I see that have retired, or are taking a break but still enjoy reading forums certainly backs up this theory. Without fansites the community is left ot thrive on the facilites created by the game itself, and however good these are, I don't think they could ever accumulate to the same scale as a fansite can give.

WHAT DID I DO? Two of three untrimmed capes trimmed, as I picked them up, telegrabbed the last. Now somewhere between 100 and 101, scared [cabbage]less and not knowing whether to buy another 1 exp or not.

So yeah, I think my in-game rant says it all. I didn't expect getting 100 Dungeoneering to trim my Dungeoneering cape. But at the last second I decided to telegrab all but one of my untrimmed capes to see if it would. Turns out I just narrowly avoided disaster. Having 3 untrimmed capes isn't as nice as 4, though. :sad: Currently going for the pet, once I have the tokens for it I doubt I'll go further.

Elite requirements do not equal elite content. Even though elite diarys require elite requirements, they are not elite content. Anything but, they are not challenging in any way, and your only barrier to finishing say, the falador diary is your ability to tolerate boredom. Elite quests should have elite content, extremely hard boss battles, hard puzzles, etc etc. They should not have "elite" requirements which require excessive grind while actually adding little or nothing to the actual quest. Such requirements shows a commitment to the game, a certain level of dedication. This cannot be shown by someone that has put only an nth of the time in fluking their way through it. If you haven't got the requirements, either face the facts that you need to work for them (and yes, work DOES invlove doing things you won't enjoy all of the time) or simply stop complaining. If you're finding Runescape, a game based upon clicking on things for hours on end, boring; stop playing and let us that do enjoy i -, or feel that the end reward will be worth the pain of achieving it - get on with our lives in peace. The diaries are elite content, in the way that only those that have put an "elite" amount of effort into this game can do them. Jagex have introduced many challenging boss fights and puzzles and this has proven to be a great success, adding these to everything like you appear to be suggesting, however, would unblance the game and make the whole point of Runescape change. It's a social environment where you see benefitial growth of your character over time, a particularly skillful maneouvre may well come in useful in certain aspects, but cannot equal the levels of commitment shown by the "grinders" I really don't see how your persistent whining is adding to this thread, really. Maybe you could make your own about the PATHETIC AND INTOLERABLE AMOUNT OF GRINDING in the game?
