  1. Rocco... they know there's a forest and I sent them to gather wood. My other scouts actually brought some back, even though they weren't sent to get any.
  2. Paul, they weren't an expedition to find wood, they were supposed to bring wood back. <_<
  3. Happy New York New Years!
  4. But, wait. They already do that stuff, they're a nomadic civilization. And haven't they heard of exercise? :P
  5. Sooo... Got bored, made a mineshaft out of a cave, found some random stuff, and then fell into a dungeon. I'm playing on peaceful right now, any suggestions for traps to set up around that thing?
  6. I quite like Monster Hunter Tri, but I think it's a bit of an acquired taste. :) Childish though it may be, I've heard good things about Kirby's Epic Yarn. And honestly, who doesn't love Kirby?
  7. Fourth Action: Detail-minded and strong citizens sent to survey nearby accessible resources and carry back anything of interest, expecially stone. Fifth Action: Both children and adults, in groups according to age, are set to work practicing running, climbing, and moving tents.
  8. Actually, I'd like to use the collected wood to supply all the villagers with hatchets. The heads are made to be removed, so either the handle or head may be replaced (like throwing tomahawks, you just slide the head onto a widening handle and give it a good thump).
  9. What about me? EDIT: Third Action: Teams of villagers head into the forests to collect wood for stockades (log walls).
  10. I should've also made note; the types of animals are reported on as well.
  11. First Action: The tents are unpacked and set up at the current location in a circular pattern, with space in the middle for gatherings. Traders also set their wares out on cloths in this area. Second Action: Some of the faster individuals are sent out to locate animal herds, note the general locations, and return.
  12. Whadabout me? Confirmed, right?
  13. Second red dot to the East of Archi and Mather. My nation shall be called the Dusavi. Filled out the questionare on the other thread, sorry for the late start.
  14. A travelling band of nomads wants to join your village, what do you do? Let them try to keep up with our own nomadic lifestyle, those who do will be welcomed as brothers. The notorious loony claims that he has found an ancient map. What do you do? Ask him where he found it, and send him away with a small group of escorts to investigate. One day, an emissary arrives from a neighboring empire. He sends word that his kind demands tribute from your nation. What do you do? Abandon our villages for hideouts in the mountains and forests, taking with us anything of value. Devious traps are all the fiends shall discover in our wake. You come across a resource node, full of gem foreign to your people. However, another nation seems to have set up a small camp there as well. What do you do? Use stealth, subversion, or assimilation to get what we want, anything but open conflict. A long-trusted advisor of yours is rumored to be planning to remove you from the throne. What do you do? Slap him across the face and dry-maroon him; setting him loose in the desert with nothing but a needle, thread, and a wooden hatchet and forgetting him. A band of vicious cats has been attacking the local rodents, killing most of them off. What do you do? Breed them as loyal hunting companions, leaving a controlled feral population as well to crossbreed and control the rodents. If you had to choose between military supremacy, economic might, or intellectual prowess, which would you wish for your nation to have? Intellectual prowess, one must be wily to survive as a wanderer. Your explorers come across a small tribe, with extremely primitive technology. They do not seem to be hostile. What is your response? Attempt to integrate them into our society as equals, and teach them our concept of morality and nomadic lifestyle. After a lengthy military campaign, you overtake the capitol city of a rival nation. However, the city is still intact, along with most of the citizens being alive. What do you do? Extend an offer to the people of the capitol; join us as nomads or be left in the dust of a barren city. All items that can be taken, are. Your cities are starving and the only source of extra food is an empire that demands you give up your strongest squad of men. What do you do? Train my strongest men as thieves and assassins, then send them to anonymously cause chaos among the enemy's realm and aid us in taking the empire's food supply. Two of your neighbors, one on friendly terms, the other unfriendly, have recently fought in a war, and are now weak. What do you do? Take the friendly nation under our wing, then launch a joint attack to assimilate the enemy as a lower caste. There is a red button on your desk, what is it for? Announcing that the time has come to pack up the city and continue our travels. There is a trial in your city, where a 'scientist' claims that the earth goes around the moon, rather than the moon being reborn each day by the sky gods. The courts have sentanced him to death, what do you do? Hear him out, acknowledge his theories, and give him a posh "cell" with the necessary resources to continue his work. While out with your fellow hunters, a large flying stone with a green middle hovers overhead, bathing you in a green light. What do you do? Bow on one knee, wait, and then carry it back to camp. Choose one of the following: D: 42
  15. I think I used to play that. Several levels, one on Hoth right? I know it was some classic Star Wars game or another... Anyways, anyone here played Lost Planet? Methinks Ross might like it.
  16. Larder? You really confused that word with "former?"
  17. Pretty sure it's from The Enemy. Good book, I actually think you might like it. And Assassin's Creed 2 is epic. Aerial assassinations FTW!
  18. Replying to older posts... Vix, holy crow. What the heck is that? Earth, Freaky-Deaky? You've read The Enemy?
  19. Bwahahahaha. 'Tis the season. Anyways, is there a session today?
  20. Gack. Okay, I'll work on this in a bit. Trip to Maryland just got canceled. EDIT: No OT, please. Irrelevant posts have been deleted. Games: Xbox: Halo: Reach Halo 3 Black Ops PS3: World at War MW2 Battlefield Bad Company 2 SoulCal4 Wii: SSBB Monster Hunter Tri PC: Runescape Minecraft Mabinogi Mabinogi Heroes Combat Arms
  21. Hello to all my fellow Taverners, and welcome to The Rec Room! Not all Tavern-approved games are played on this forum, and many of us here have a fondness for more conventional video games as well. This thread serves the specific purpose of allowing us to play these outside games together. First of all, I will need all those interested to post a list of all the multiplayer games they own and would like to play with the rest of us. Please state the console it is for, and any other relevant information (alignment, level, hearth secret, whatever is necessary in connecting to the other players). I will update this first post with the list of games and who plays each, going in alphabetical order. More on this later, since I have to get home.
  22. Epic gifts have been got. Black Ops, Halo 3, the newest laptop from VAIO, a thin touch-screen Coolpix S4000 camera, and a 42-inch HD Plasma Screen TV with an HDMI cable for my Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. Soon I'm headed to Maryland for the third Christmas celebration. :) Anyways, does anyone want a Tavern Games thread to coordinate games together? Like, a list of who has what multiplayer games and things like clans and events and stuff. Seems like now would be a good time, so we can all use any giftcards we get for games to play together.
  23. ^ Why the Tavern is awesome.
  24. Great, Earth. And bwahahaha, just figured out how to do a critical finish. IEYFURA IS DOOOOMED!
  25. You can get a moves list if you hit start during test play in character creation. You can also use custom controls if you go to options. But yeah, you were awesome anyways. That one jumping attack just kept getting me. :P And when you played as Nightmare... it was a nightmare.
