  1. I'm just saying, that thing is 18 inches long... I use an 8 inch throwing knive, and that is hard as hell. And at that length it's no longer a knife, it's a short sword. The handle seems like it would be easily damaged as well, so... yeah. It's not a good idea to use one, if you ask me.
  2. Name: Niveus Grim Status: Wounded Shoulder Special: Holding the worm's soul Skills: 5.3 Force 4.6 Soul 2.1 Fire 0.4 Geomancy 0.1 Telepathy 0.1 Necromancy 0.1 Aura Inventory: Iron Chach Glyph (drawn in left hand) Slightly Bloodied Coin Pouch Fighting the Google's cousin in an underground sauna.
  3. Sounds fun.
  4. How are you supposed to use this as a throwing weapon?
  5. And I learned that lesson in your Hegemony, Tech. Jeremiah, have you ever gone to KnifeCave? It's an awesome site. I had the idea that perhaps a player could link you to there for what they wanted to forge or craft?
  6. Wow. I really do have an underground ocean. If Link spawned a hollow-mountain biome, I think I spawned a copius-caves biome. This is getting ridiculous, and god help me once I switch from peaceful.
  7. Ooh, that sounds like it might be fun.
  8. Ampersands. &&&&&&&&&
  9. Ross, media representation is irrelevant. The reason the katana worked so well, and correct me if I'm wrong, was that if the appropriate technique was used it slaughtered anyone with light or no armour. And it seems like feudal Japan was very reliant on militias, hence such a fluid fighting style with a light and sharp blade allowed trained, outnumbered warriors to strike down multiple foes before they could get a shot in. This is completely uninformed of course, just a collection of observations.
  10. You mean "scares the [cabbage] out of everyone?"
  11. It's fun watching ignorant people trying to load crossbows. Aside from that... Morningstar, or perhaps a Bearded Axe. I like long-handle weapons. Daggers are cool too. And Jeremiah, the reason Japanese weapons are held high in regard is because people tend to be awestruck when they see masters using them. Japanese weapons fighting, seemingly along with many Japanese arts, is trained to an unparalleled degree. A skilled warrior wielding a well made Katana can slice through the torsos of five people standing side-by-side. That was, in fact, both a common method for grading weaponry and a creative use for prisoners.
  12. So... what happened with my action as I was being pulled underwater by the worm?
  13. One of my friends has three katanas. Hanging above a water bed.
  14. Blech. Do you know how hard it is to buy throwing knives for a girl? I don't know what she'll think is cool and what is just ridiculous. There's the symmetrical/asymmetrical blade issue, and they actually have rainbow stainless steel knives which I think are quite cool, but I don't want to get her something that might seem "girly," for a number of reasons. Also there are different blade/handle sizes, and I don't know what sort would be best.
  15. Bwahaha. Lots of metal, coal, and flint. Only a bit deeper, and I'm sure I'll run into diamond and redstone!
  16. May he rest in peace, and naught but fond memories reside in the minds of his loved ones. I wish I had gotten to know him... :( Goes to show, I suppose, that you should take every chance you get to be someone's friend.
  17. Only 2019+ pages to go 'till we're caught up with /FG/!

... You made it multiple choice? :|

    ... Sure?
  20. I'm on peaceful, thankfully. :D I think I'm going to carve it out into a series of square rooms, I fully expect to run into more caves than I can carve away anyways.

    In general, indeed.

Chi, Drake and Jeremiah were turned into AIs. With Drake, I think that means a new neural center. With Jeremiah, I think it's probably just an addition to the Obsidian core processors.

I'm wondering if I shouldn't try to run IRC for Fallen Rising on Wednesday or something. I like it, but I always got distracted and forgot to check for posts. It would make it much easier to stick with.

Aaanyways, I like where that went. I now have Psionic powers equal to those of any unassisted human in history, and am one of the best pilots on the Unity. :)
  25. ... Wow. I just found a giant underground cave complex. I mean MASSIVE. In the time I've been playing, I haven't seen as much of the surface as I have this place. I think it has an underground ocean. How do I upload it? That is, assuming you guys would like to see.
