  1. Would be amusing to kill suicide grunts like that, though. They need an armour ability that detonates nearby dropped grenades.
  2. *Imagines someone other than Shiny modding Forum Games* *Laughs*
  3. We need a TIF squad. Anyone else like that idea? With a good team I'm pretty badass. 17 kill streak, and beating the enemy teams 50 to like 10 is my record with some random pair of friends I met. Might be a little rusty, now, but I reckon I'm not too bad.
  4. There is no Portugal. Anyways... this is going to be interesting.
  5. New Iberia. What's that green bit on the edge, and does the U.K. really have land by Gibraltar?
  6. Link, I meant, how do I get them between computers? My best worlds are on my rinky-dink laptop. Would a flash drive work?
  7. My favourite weapon has to be the SPAS-12. 12 gauge shells, magnum ammo. If you have good eyes you can hit anywhere on one of the Squad maps for a one-hit kill. It's a great counter-sniper weapon, and can take out a close-packed enemy team in a jiff. Second favourite is C4. When I'm in a game, the enemies find it EVERYWHERE. I've even put it on allied tanks as a fairly effective Recon deterrent/wallbreaker.
  8. Eh, I'll call New Iberia. Might switch back once I see the values of the provinces.
  9. My only problem at this point is "slow secret research." That's reasonable for top secret hushedy-hush stuff, but I think we should also be allowed research that isn't announced on the forum but is easy to find out. Like, every turn there is a percent chance that neighboring countries will hear about it from travelling individuals who decide to chat about a not-really-secret government program. Basically, different levels of secrecy would be good. Anyways, I think I'll reserve Switzerland, pending further investigation of that map.
  10. Retech... no. Just no. That's over and done, and you made them underpowered even before that. Clart is a swear from Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan.
  11. Fire. Solves. Everything. Except burn wounds, of course.
  12. <- Agrees with Archi. Back in YOH, Retech turned his superweapons into piles of clart. Beyond just having weaknesses, he just said they were overpowered and nerfed them.
  13. Alternate history... as in real-life power held at the time is completely irrelevant unless the mod wishes it to be Retech. :P
  14. Boooring. The more customization we have for our soldiers and vehicles, the better. Hasn't Hegemony always been about creativity? :P EDIT: Spork, I mean, how do we know which countries have higher or lower values? The map doesn't even indicate the names.
  15. ... What? How do we know what nations have what resources and infrastructure? Why does secret research take longer? And do you really think anyone but Dusty would go against Archi and his allies? EDIT: And Allies could, of course, be the opposing NPC force if you so desire... That might be a tad boring though, unless you did it really well.
  16. What, Grim? You aren't on the original reserves list... Goddamnit. I'll reserve the Ottoman Empire for now I guess. And what's wrong with railguns when they're usually worse than normal guns? I, for one, simply want the option of having battle walkers instead of tanks. They're less stable anyways, just with a bit better movement. Probably more expensive as well.
  17. But those countries aren't reserved, the map changed. I wouldn't care if someone took Brazil. And Retech's claiming a reserved country as well. EDIT: Whoops, thought Aeon had Japan. :D Anyways, what's that big purple country near Russia, and the weird sage-green one?
  18. Where's New Iberia? I think I might want that. Or Austria-Hungary. EDIT: Oh, no Iberia anymore. Nevermind. Can I have Leviathan-esque Clanker machines sometime in the future? EDIT: I'll take Scandinavia.
  19. Wait, we already chose countries.
  20. Lovely. What's what, who's who?
  21. Lol, Retech. I already said a nerf of what has been achieved isn't necessary, just a slowed progression. As for the Soul thing, it was obvious from the beginning that anyone could use it, I'm just argueing on behalf of Niveus.
  22. ^ Exactly. I mean, my issue is people getting to level 20, declaring "I am Iron Man!" and then deciding that the locals have started to annoy them. I don't suggest a nerf so much as an extension of goals... our magic isn't well-defined in terms of power, at least to the players, so Ross could make adjustments without really nerfing anyone. Heck, I'd say true Master level should be at 100, but that would probably make Jen through up her hands and leave. I guess I don't really mind any of this that much
  23. Master means like, maybe Brian-level, though I don't know what he can actually do. 50 is Archmage, 25 is Mage, <25 is Beginner. Maybe it would work differently for melee and crafting, both of which would involve more specialization early on and take more work to level up in.
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjYSERaXEGI&feature=BF&list=SL&index=23 Oh my god I love Schmoyoho.
  25. Okay, I might just make a chart for this stuff. We don't need that many categories, but I think two-path specializations would work well. You could specify a switch between styles, which would take a turn, and begin giving you exp in the different style. I think that should only be after level 50, however... which I suggest as the new master level. Jen hasn't accomplished a squick with her magic, but she's already into intermediate. We obviously need to set higher bars.
