The Back Room
Blech. Dungeoneering is a dead horse without Ross, Archi, or some brilliant random person who happens to walk in here. Hegemony is a dead horse. . The Arena is dead, always has been, always will be.

*Sigh* Jen, why do you have to ruin games when you decide that you're a bit agitated? That's Anyways, if you do join again, I suppose there couldn't be any reasonable debt. Meh, to hell with it. Earth doesn't deserve debt for that either. But seriously...
-
Space
Ok, I think this calls for a modification of debts. Lesse... Faust: EC: 43,000 Debt: 0 Chi: EC: ? Debt: 0 Earth: EC: ? Debt: 500,000 Jen: EC: ? Debt: 14,000,000 I'd say Earth will have his debt paid off from ship work after next session. Jen, on the other hand, will have all her research projects made public, be suspended from all unessential privileges, and have any and all personal possessions confiscated. AI, could you estimate the value of Jen's contributions from now on? Also, I'm determined to prove my value as an officer. I'll make this work, somehow. Oh, and I'm not dead am I AI? If I am I'd like Jeremiah to use that 30kEC I paid to the ship to revive all of us. And what can I get for 1,000 merits?

The Space Diaries
Red alert! Red alert! Rogue Ficus detected! - Officer Faust

There is no such thing as an impossible puzzle, the AI made it and gave it to us, obviously we could've solved it with the right resources. Now just forget about it, I'll revive you when Jeremiah gets back and we can get to work.

I want you to stop [bleep]ing saying anything. You screwed up, you did EVERYTHING WRONG, it's in the past now. Until you've paid off 15 million Energy Credits to the ship, you own nothing and will be put on probation. Stop complaining about it, and no hard feelings.

The Space Diaries
[bleep]. Earth just completely incinerated the Saber, himself, and Chi. He brute-forced a complicated puzzle left behind by the ship's former commander, and it triggered a detonation of the entire ship. - Officer Faust

You didn't do that much research, I think.

Dumb in either meaning of the term?

I say my system is best. That way the more sensible, intelligent members can control the ships.
-
Space
Yes, Jeremiah, but in that system everything falls apart for lack of officers. I think Jen should be taken off the chain of command, and perhaps Earth and Drake should have a 4th tier and the ones below that should be combined. A lower tier should be reserved for probation, which can be initiated by an officer or by majority vote, and overruled by Dusty or an officer, though with the officer there can't be a majority for the continuation of probation. Nero > Jeremiah > Theros > Earth = Drake > Echo = Faust = John = Chi = Jen > Probation for newbs and those endangering the crew.

Earth, he said to start a sim while I was in a sim with you and shot at me. I shot back. Replying to the sim. Ask Archi, I never said to shoot John.
-
Space
... Archi? What do you mean by that? And I didn't shoot John, right?
-
Space
Nero > Jeremiah > Theros > Earth = Echo = Faust = Drake > John = Chi = Jen > Ico, if he joins. See? No ranked last problem. I think 4th rank and above should have full weaponry privileges, with 5th rank having normal privileges. Anyways, Jeremiah, we need structure regardless.
-
Space
Well, Dusty is rarely here, but he should have the ultimate privileges. And being "more or less arranged in that order" isn't good enough. We need to have a tight set of rules and regulations. You're essentially the Unity captain; if not for Dusty you would be. Without you, Jen takes control, and she is the worst possible commander. The new Jen... well, they're just a recruit. I actually think we should have a full list of who overrules who on the Unity, the Saber, and in general. Lemme check the players. EDIT: Earth, Tiger did a sim against me too. That was a sim. Right Archi?
-
Space
Earth... I didn't shoot anyone. -.- That was a sim, in case you didn't notice, and I had every right to shoot you. You were breaking into my quarters to kill me.

What's a suit drill? Like, Bioshock drills? I want one... :P Anyways, Jeremiah, should I repost my thoughts on command structure or have you already seen it? I think the Unity Fleet should be a Communist system, except with goods distributed to their maximum efficiency rather than equally.

It's probably anthrax. I'll bet 3,000 EC, anyone gonna take me up on that? I think we should open it in a cargo bay, whichever one is empty. Preferrably the Saber's.

Yeah. I suppose you're right. You're generally the most practical crewmember. You should just know when to use what, maybe run a few more sims before you go into big combat. You're the only repairman anyways.
-
Space
Yeah, so long as you don't fight or threaten to fight the crew Earth. Otherwise, I think you should have whatever you want. Actually, maybe you don't need the privileges. You rely too much on melee, and you're too valuable to the crew to risk. You can fight when you want, but you probably won't be a primary combatant. I think we can have John as a fighter.
-
Space
Y'know, Chi probably doesn't need to be on probation much longer if at all. Maybe Jen should be though? Anyways, the Arnament Privileges would mean that you have access to extra budgeting for weapon production and you're allowed to make use of any weapons or weapon technology aboard the ships. I think we might want to limit crew access to combat gear. Otherwise they could pull the same stunts I did, transporting bombs and hacking through AI defenses. Arnament Privilege and Subordinate and up would be able to use ship weapons. This will prevent mutinies and unnecessary conflict. EDIT: Also, perhaps I don't need arnament privileges, I pretty much just want the BLITZ to see use.

Hrm, did my report not go through?

I say all resources of the Unity fleet should be given to those who can use them best. Unity Fleet Commander: Nero Unity Commander: Jeremiah Unity Subordinate: Determined by consensus Saber Commander: Theros Saber Subordinate: Earth, Jeremiah Fund Access: Subordinate Officer and above Full Arnament Privileges: Theros, Earth, Echo, Faust Basic Privileges: All, unless put on probation Probation: Chi

I actually support Earth in that, to be honest he's better than any of us when it comes to maintaining a working vessel. I think the Saber should have a separate command as a separate ship, with Theros as primary officer and Earth as subordinate. They're the most practical, and could do great things with the power they don't reach for themselves. Jen, you shouldn't have a ship. Period. That's as bad of an idea as giving Chi AI control protocols. We're all in this together, all you did was mine for yourself. Theros donates everything to the combined ship funds, he'll make much better use of it.
