  1. If Jagex had asked the people at Runfest their RSN, and put the toy on their account, that would have been ok by me, they got one because they went; but what does annoy me is that people WILL sell these codes, encouraging RWT which Jagex has been so against since they started the game.
  2. But just how many stupid updates can Jagex make before the loyal fanbase decide; enough is enough?
  3. I too, believe he is a good guy, and will help us fight Lucien in an upcoming quest battle, perhaps giving us some souls to boost our powers to that of Lucien?
  4. £75 for a 10 minute look at future updates, that will be doubtlessly posted on the internet, then playing some runescape and talking to J mods? I could sit in my own home for free and play RS, while talking to J mods on pm/forums and read up on the future updates on there too. £20-40 I would have defiantly gone but not for 3X the price of normal Cons'.
  5. *Click's Link* ... Good game. #-o +1 =D> :wall: I've been trolled. link of the year. Seconded. I'm still laughing. Me too  *bookmarks* back on topic? Any more ideas what it may be, I'm thinking elite diaries.
  6. I am, how are they any different? In both you gain(ed) lots of EXP in a short amount of time with it being a one-off(unless, of course, they make another weekend.)
  7. Just as an aside on the farming scroll. It has a 10% chance of giving back a seed if the plant dies. Plants die 10% of the time. So that means you're only getting the effect 1% of the time, which really isn't that exciting. That's the equivalent of shaving about 750 gp off of each snapdragon seed--not bad, but hardly epic. Anyway, on topic: it's worth noting that you do save inventory space with a law staff. If I'm training prayer at my gilded altar, I can use a law staff and dust runes to let me carry an extra set of dragon bones without spending extra money on teletabs. So that's something. And no, you do not get a 10% damage boost from either staff. Ahh, but is it worth the time obtaining the points for the staff, how much does it save?
  8. Explain? Seeing as how everyone has an equal shot at the double exp during this period of time, the competitiion is not unfairly distributed. Anyone who has a 99 and a rank in it can continue training it on double exp day to stay the same distance ahead of the people underneath them as they were before the double exp weekend, or simply get a one up and train another skill for double exp. Other than it being hard to buy materials off the GE, there is no downside to this. People who dislike the idea are simply very self-minded. So far I've seen "Well I won't be able to afford or buy anything off the GE!" and "I don't want to be stressed about having to collect materials so I can train the skill of choice on the double exp weekend!" Tough. If you want the exp in that skill of choice, you'll find a way to train it on the weekend, otherwise you train something else. What "stresses" you out (something that is not mandatory but you seem to think it is) will help out many other people in the process. There's no need to be greedy. And this is someone talking who has many, many 99s. I don't care if it "devalues" my 99s. Why should I have reason to be so bitter and unfriendly towards an idea that makes unbearable grinding just a little more bearable? I don't believe it devalues 99s, I believe that it is unnecessary, RS has gone for 10 years without a double EXP weekend, it just seems, well, pointless and in a way, insulting to people who grinded those levels before this; obviously new content introduces new ways of training that is faster, but that is new content, where as this is a one-off weekend. When dungeoneering was released, there was a huge runecrafting glitch, allowing people to get huge amounts of EXP in a short amount of time, this was promptly fixed and even given a rollback. How is that different from the double EXP weekends?
  9. From RSOF, coincidence? Pictures would be lovely. :ohnoes: I'm studying for finals atm (taking a bit of a break now though!) but if its true...nice find! Off to explore after my slayer task. :P Its the smoke dungeon from Smoking Kills. :P Been there for as long as I can remember. Just be stated on the thread I was reading .:P What about shilo GEM dungeon released with karamja ACHIEVEMENT diary? Elite diaries?! EDIT:
  10. Not needed, why would jagex put a double exp gain in a game with high-scores? In my eyes, it ruins the whole competitive atmosphere that RS has. -.-

  12. If you have four of the same item in your inventory, the first three in your inven will be kept.
  13. Yeah, prepare to be piled by both range (beer cans) and melee (I dunno? baseball bats?) Sol spec+full torag with my div(cardboard and a bin lid:D.) I'll be downing them all.
  14. Surely they would release adament and runite dragons before any gem dragons?
  15. DFS seems to be the best with little effort, its a lot easier to get 40m then the 500B+ for ely/div or 80 Dung for the new ones. Another great shield is the blessed spirit shield, with similar stats to the DFS but with a prayer bonus but no strength bonus.
  16. It's the same wit h the law staff. :(
  17. Jagex only has employees at HQ in Cambridge, there is no use for employees outside that office or away from the team. Meh, thought there was seeing as there are Danish mods etc.
  18. Whether Jagex is a small or a big company doesn't matter, they are obviously making a lot of money otherwise they wouldn't be able to run anything like this. I'm sure that jagex has some employees in America too. Anyway, lets see how the first one turns out before they start organising another one. :P
  19. Because it may very well be the geekiest thing you ever do? :P
  20. I'd rather have Jagex 'lie' about the age limit due to alcohol than open it too younger children with supervision. Parents won't want to take their children to a place with alcohol, so we can assume that there won't be hundreds of 12 year olds hitting you with a stick and spinning around like a moron. With older people there, Jagex can start to lose their reputation as a game for children, which was one of their goals.(stated in the Tip.It questionaire thing that was sent to them.(i think :geek:))
